I had OBIEE 11.1.1.6.4 installed on a windows 7 server. The app installation was corrupted and I had to re-install. Well, I re-installed OBIEE 11.1.1.6.12 (only install files I have). I want to use the same MDS and BIPLATFORM repositories as before, however; I do not have the schema passwords for the MDS and BIPLATFORM schemas. To get around this, I copied the database and gave new passwords.
When I attempt to hook the OBIEE 11.1.1.6.12 installation up to the copied database, OBIEE config says the BIPLATFORM and MDS schemas cannot be found. Does anyone know if this can be a version issue? The copied database was from a 11.1.1.6.4 install and the app is now 11.1.1.6.12. Is this the problem?
Any thoughts?
I found the answer and wanted to post it for others. There is a table in the repository called dbo.schema_version_registry$. If you change the schema prefix in the copied database (required if using the same DB), then you will need to manually edit this table to reflect the new prefix!
Took me days to track down but it's just a simple update against the table. Hope this helps someone.

Good evening
I was using MAMP5.2 and I migrate to a newer version.
From my MacBook, I renamed /Application/MAMP to MAMP5-2
I installed a new version to /Application/MAMP and I move the content of htdocs to the new location.
I has a couple of database and now I need of of them to be moved to the new location.
I copied
/Applications/MAMAP5-2/db/mysql57/typ folder to
/Applications/MAMAP/db/mysql57/typ
On my PHPMyADMIN I could see the database but it generate errors
I supposed it was a bad idea to recover a database.
Is there another way to use my database with a new installation and how?
Many thank
In phpmyadmin you can use the export options on the old server and import them when you install the new server that you installed clean I hope this helps you
I have installed Umbraco via WebMatrix, and entered "server=(localdb)\v11.0;integrated security=true" as a connection string. The site works fine, but I can't find the database that Umbraco have created. When I open the (localdb)\v11.0, it's not there.
I have tried searching whole system with *.mdf. but no luck. Where can the data be?
I am using umbraco 4.8.0
Most likely the database is in the user profile folder of the account that Umbraco is running under. See this post for more complete explanation. You may also want to look at this other post about why LocalDB by default puts the database file in the root of the user profile of the account it runs under.
I have found it. With no Database defined, SQL server uses the first or the default database in the list, which appears to master database. SSMS and such, don't display tables of system objects, so I found the tables by querying the database.
I have an application that uses EF Code First against a SQL Server 2012 database. I'm using the DropCreateDatabaseIfModelChanges initializer.
I have a database on my development machine that I want to move over to my testing machine, and to do that I'm attempting to use backup/restore. Unfortunately, having done that, I get the dreaded "Model compatibility cannot be checked because the database does not contain model metadata" error.
I don't understand why this is the case - the database works OK on my dev machine. Is it not possible to transfer the database to another machine?
Solved: the issue was that the __MigrationHistory table, while present, was not accessible to the application because of insufficient database privileges. I (temporarily) made the user a DBO on the database, and it all worked fine. (Hat tip to Jayantha).
Now the metadata table is removed from the code first DB and added the __MigrationHistory table to system tables. You can try running Enable-Migrations command in Package Manager Console. Here is more details .
I download jdeveloper studio edition and install it in C:\Oracle\Middleware
then I install weblogic instance using C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\common\bin\config.exe
to C:\myproject\domains\myweblogic
Then download DMS_11.1.0.0.0_WINDOWS.zip and install it to C:\Oracle\Middleware\Mobile.
thereafter cant start
C:\Oracle\Middleware\Mobile\Mobile\Server\bin\runmobileserver.bat
unless i change the variable to this batch file
set DOMAIN_DIR=C:\myproject\domains\myweblogic
what do I do next to see that it works?
is there a simple example that creates a sigle table and synchronized between server and mobile clients?
very difficult to find information on this technology. interfere very popular tags (Oracle, Database).
If you install Database Mobile Server directly in the WebLogic directory, you will not need to edit the batch file. For instance, I believe the default install directory is:
C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3
So if you used the default install directory, you would install Database Mobile Server there, with no added 'Mobile' or other directory. If you chose to install WebLogic elsewhere, then replace the above with that directory.
There is another small issue to be aware of.
The installer will give you warning about installing in a non-empty
directory. You should click through the warning. This is a known issue
documented in the Release Notes.
Regarding your other question about a demo, there is a Java demo found in
<MOBILE_HOME>\Mobile\Server\demos\consolidator_api
You will need to download a client and perform a sync, which is documented here:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E22663_01/doc.11100/e22681/instsqlite.htm#BABGAACI
I hope that helps, good luck with your project. Let me know if you have further questions.

Im using a mac. Xampp stopped working after the latest update 10.6.8 and I think it may be a direct result of the update. Anyway, Id like to reinstall xampp however i didnt backup my database and i cant get into localhost/phpmyadmin to import it. Is there anyway I can backup my database another way and reinstall xampp? or is there another problem as to why the pages dont load.
I get this error when i go to localhost/phpmyadmin: The requested URL /phpmyadmin was not found on this server.
When you use XAMPP, it automatically freezes all the other database. If you are using mysql, you can backup them either using
1.mysqladmin tool (http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/gui-tools/5.0.html)
directly login as the admin and select the databases that you need and backup.
or
2.using command line (manual backup):
goto mysql/bin and then follow this tutorial: http://linux.byexamples.com/archivesc/90/backup-and-restore-mysql-database/
When you uninstall xampp, the databases (in var/mysql) and the htdocs folders are not normally deleted by the uninstall wizard. When you reinstall xampp, those existing folders will be used. It's also a good idea to back up those folders directly to reduce the risk of loss.
