I'm trying to learn how to use NancyFx with Mono in Ubuntu.
I've successfully built Nancy using the MonoRelease target in MonoDevelop (opening the solution in the IDE, selecting the MonoRelease build target, running Build).
I've created a new MonoDevelop solution in a separate directory called NancyTest. When I go add the references to the project it can't find them anywhere.
Any ideas?
Here is a better answer then the super vague one already given. You can use Nuget to install the the items you need and then add them as references.
https://github.com/NancyFx/Nancy/wiki/Hosting-Nancy-with-Nginx-on-Ubuntu
The URL is a very nice example of how to get started with your first webpage. the nginx settings don't look super specialized, so you can probably use Apache if you wish. Since the items are written with mono and Nancy you can get away with using Jenkins CI, which is what turned me on to Nancy and mono, so I wouldn't have to install another server. Sorry this post is over a year old, but I came across it while looking for answers, and felt the answer currently given was poor and needed a better example for future users in the same search as me. So to answer your question, I'd bypass the build from source and just install using Nuget/powershell.

Apparently, the ExtJS' forum isn't working anymore, so asking the question here.
I am trying to upgrade ExtJS integrated in a big application. Currently, it's using version 3.4.1 and I have to upgrade it to 7.5.0, so a lot of changes are expected. It's my first time working with ExtJS. I've been reading their documentation & examples for a while now, but I'm having issues understanding some things.
If someone's experienced with ExtJS, could you tell how big is the difference between these versions? What kind of effort is expected for this upgrade? Will I have to rewrite everything, or just changing files and API calls would be enough?
Another thing is that the folder structure in the new version looks quite different from the older version. Ours using 3.4.1 looks like this -
ext-js 3.4.1 image
There are no new adapter or resources folders in the new verion. Are these folders not required anymore, or is it possible to get the same folder structure with the new version?
Is it possible to download older versions of ExtJS like 4.x, 5.x etc.? I tried but couldn't find it, I was able to download the older documentation though.
Downloaded the latest ExtJS version from here.
Referring this Sencha ExtJS documentation.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Download
You should download the version from support.sencha.com. There you can find all versions.
To access the download page, you need to log in. If you have lost your login, you can contact Sencha's licensing department.
Make sure you have a valid license.
Upgrade
If you are new to Sencha, you should not do the work yourself. Between version 3 and 7, there are at least two new coding paradigms and you'll have to rewrite everything. Unfortunately, there is no easy upgrade process from 3 to 7. If you had to upgrade from 5 to 7, it would be possible to ignore all the cool new features, but if you are starting from 3, you will have to rewrite everything.
Building process
In your screenshot, I can see that you are using the full ExtJS file. But are you really building the application? That means you end up with a single js file and a single css file.
Are you building your application?
Are you using SCSS?
You should definitely contact someone with experience. I've done quite a few upgrades in ExtJS to know that you need help with this.
I am developing a modue for a DNN website and i would like to make a little tool that is able to perform the installation process without having to go trough the CMS and install it with the extension installer.
This would probably be a lot faster. For this i need to know all the steps the installation follows and convert this to code. However Google does not seem to help me out here so far.
Does anyone have any information or code regarding this?
Read this and the referenced links:

I have an eclipse codenameone project. I would like to execute this project on Eclipse using my own codenameone modified sources (codenameone sources project is in netbeans). How could I do that ?
As it is mentioned in this video, we should linked the project in the build path but it works only if we have a netbean project.
Better solution is to edit Codenameone source in Eclipse (but sources in github has structure of a Netbeans project).
Thanks!
Right now debugging with the Codename One sources is only supported on NetBeans because that is the platforms we use for our coding. It's harder to work with other IDE's and might not be worth your effort.
Someone posted a while back in the discussion forum about running this in Eclipse but I couldn't find the reference.
Generally if you want to build the native sources and debug from there just work based on the logic we have and adapt it to Eclipse (or any other IDE). Running a Codename One project has 2 major dependencies:
Codename One project - that's a regular Java project you can work with
JavaSEPort another regular project, this is the implementation of the Codename One code and includes the simulator.
Make sure to add the source trees of both these projects to the compile but not packaging phases and set the Simulator class as your main class.
If you are successful in doing this it would be really nice if you write about it for the developer guide wiki next to the NetBeans build and explain how this is done for future developers.
I'm developing a small WinForms program for home use - I have no intentions to releasing it anywhere.
Running it on my development machine, where I have Visual Studio and .NET and whatever else installed, works but deploying it on my PC, where I might not have all those frameworks, doesn't. I'm using some library written in C++ so I'm assuming I'm going to need some version of Visual C++ Redistributable, but I'm not sure which? And I'm not sure if that would be all. So, how can I determine an application's software prerequisites?
I used Dependency Walker and I got a message IEHIMS.DLL - Error opening file. The system cannot find the file specified (2), but that's all I could make out; there is so much information I'm having trouble make sense of it all. Besides, according to a quick google, IESHIMS.DLL has something to do with Internet Explorer, so it shouldn't really matter.
Thanks in advance to anyone taking to the time to consider my question.
Kind regards
For framework you can set the prerequisites for your application by going to project properties -> Publish -> Prerequisites. So now, if the required framework is not installed on the deployment machine, the setup will prompt for an install.
Now, for other dlls you are using, copy those dlls to your bin folder of the project and add the files while creating setup. This will solve the problem.
I know that this is a very stupid question, but I have not been able to find a definitive Guide to creating a basic Installer for my windows forms application. I know we have to use Setup and Deployment Projects in VS2010 but have not been able to find any step by step guide for it.
If possible please guide me regarding the same.
Thanks
Many Winforms projects don't require an installer. Just copy the files in the Release folder, formally named "XCopy deployment". The walkthrough for a Setup and Deployment project is here.
I'm currently learning how to do setup projects as well.. I found a couple of sites that helped me to get off the ground and have a basic installer. I know the first link is from way back in 2005, but it still helped.
