BackboneJS Youtube Player not firing video - backbone.js

I have this Backbone App where I want display videos from youtube in a view. I fetch the youtube video id dynamically through an API and a Model. So far so good. The Youtube Player gets rendered, but the Player gives me an error which indicates that it didnt recognize the VideoID even though when I console.log the video_id, it returns the correct video_id.
So my View looks like this:
beforeRender: function() {
var artistvideosModel = new ArtistVideos.ArtistVideosModel();
artistvideosModel.artist_id = this.artist_id;
artistvideosModel.video_youtube_id = this.video_youtube_id;
artistvideosModel.fetch();
},
afterRender: function() {
var tag = document.createElement('script');
tag.src = "https://www.youtube.com/iframe_api";
var firstScriptTag = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];
firstScriptTag.parentNode.insertBefore(tag, firstScriptTag);
var player;
window.onYouTubeIframeAPIReady = function() {
player = new YT.Player('vid', {
height: '390',
width: '640',
videoId: this.video_youtube_id,
events: {
'onReady': onPlayerReady,
'onStateChange': onPlayerStateChange
}
});
}
function onPlayerReady(event) {
event.target.playVideo();
}
var done = false;
function onPlayerStateChange(event) {
if (event.data == YT.PlayerState.PLAYING && !done) {
setTimeout(stopVideo, 6000);
done = true;
}
}
function stopVideo() {
player.stopVideo();
}
}
Does anyone know what could be the issue here? Please help...
Thanks in advance

You need to bind the context:
window.onYouTubeIframeAPIReady = _.bind(function() {
player = new YT.Player('vid', {
height: '390',
width: '640',
videoId: this.video_youtube_id,
events: {
onReady: onPlayerReady,
onStateChange: onPlayerStateChange
}
})
}, this);

Backbone Modal with Q.promise issue

We have a method (onOpenNotitiesClicked) for showing a Modal view for entering notes. We have implemented the Backbone Modal plugin for this (https://github.com/awkward/backbone.modal).
There are two situations:
There are not yet notes in the backend: initialize and render the
modal
There are already notes in the backend => first collect them and
then pass the notes to the modal (initialize) and then render
In the first situation it works fine! The modal is shown.
In the second situation, the modal is not shown.
I have debugged both situations and in both situations, alle methods are executed and in the elements, I see the HTML of the modal view.
I suspect this looses some data during the Q/promise data get, but I can't see what/where/how/why....
Anyone any idea what I am doing wrong? Or what I am missing?
The creation of the modal:
onOpenNotitieClicked: function (event) {
var $element, taak, taakId, id, options = {};
$element = this.$(event.currentTarget).closest("li");
id = $element.data("id");
taakId = $element.data("taak-id");
taak = this.getCurrentTask(event);
options.taakKey = id;
options.taakId = taakId;
options.heeftNotities = taak.heeftNotities;
options.datacontroller = this.datacontroller;
this.notitiesOptions = options;
// this.renderNotitieModal(options);
if (taak.heeftNotities) {
this.getActiviteitNotities(taakId).then(_.bind(this.onSuccessGetNotities, this), _.bind(this.onErrorGetNotities, this));
} else {
this.renderNotitieModal(this.notitiesOptions);
}
},
In case there are notes to be collected:
getActiviteitNotities: function (taakId) {
return this.datacontroller.getNotities(taakId);
},
onSuccessGetNotities: function (notities) {
this.notitiesOptions.notities = notities;
this.renderNotitieModal(this.notitiesOptions);
},
onErrorGetNotities: function () {
this.renderNotitieModal(this.notitiesOptions);
},
To get the notes from the backend, Q/promises is used.
getNotities: function (taakId, refresh, klantorderId) {
return Q.promise(function (resolve, reject) {
var options = {};
if (!this.notitiesCollection || this.taakId !== taakId || refresh) {
delete this.notitiesCollection;
this.notitiesCollection = this.createCollection("NotitiesCollection", {
id: this.taakId,
resource: this.NOTITIES_RESOURCE
});
if (taakId) {
this.taakId = taakId;
options = {
data: {
parentId: this.taakId
}
};
} else if (klantorderId) {
options = {
data: {
klantorderId: klantorderId
}
};
}
resolve(this.notitiesCollection.fetch(options));
} else if (this.notitiesCollection) {
resolve(this.notitiesCollection.toJSON());
} else {
reject("ERROR");
}
}.bind(this));
},
Notities.js (the modal view):
(function () {
"use strict";
App.Bewaking.modals.BewakingNotitieModal = Backbone.Modal.extend({
template: JST.bewaking_notitie_modal, //jshint ignore:line
title: "Notities",
formatter: new App.Main.helpers.Formatter(),
events: {
"click #save-notitie": "onSaveNotitieClicked"
},
initialize: function (options) {
this.taakId = options.taakId;
this.taakKey = options.taakKey;
this.datacontroller = options.datacontroller;
this.notities = options.notities;
},
afterRender: function () {
console.log("afterRender");
this.$notitieModal = this.$("#notitieModal");
this.$nieuweNotitie = this.$("#nieuwe-notitie");
this.$notitieErrorTekst = this.$("#notitie-error-tekst");
this.$notitieModal.on("shown.bs.modal", function () {
this.$nieuweNotitie.focus();
}.bind(this));
},
render: function () {
console.log(this.notities);
this.$el.html(this.template({
formatter: this.formatter,
notities: this.notities
}));
return this;
}
});
}());

Markers click events are not working in mobile device

I have created google maps for Nearby food courts. In this markers are displayed in browser and clickable and giving info window data.But same thing coming to mobile, markers are displayed and when am clicking the marker(tap the marker) info window data is not displayed.I tried with so many forums and changes lot of code and debug but i couldn't find the solution.
foodFactory.js
var foodModule = angular.module('foodModule', []);
foodModule.factory("foodFactory", ['$rootScope', '$window','foodServices', 'localStorageService', '$state', '$ionicLoading','$stateParams',
function($rootScope, $window, foodServices, localStorageService, $state, $ionicLoading, $stateParams, $cordovaGeolocation ) {
var foodCourtmap = {};
var marker = {};
var directionsDisplay = new google.maps.DirectionsRenderer({'draggable': true });
var directionsService = new google.maps.DirectionsService();
foodCourtmap.centerOnMe = function() {
initialize();
};
//intialze the google map it's show current location.
function initialize() {
var infowindow = new google.maps.InfoWindow();
navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(function(pos) {
foodCourtmap.latitude = pos.coords.latitude;
foodCourtmap.longitude = pos.coords.longitude;
var site = new google.maps.LatLng( foodCourtmap.latitude, foodCourtmap.longitude);
var currentmapOptions = {
center: site,
zoom: 10,
mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP
};
//current location address based on Latitude and Longitude
var lat = parseFloat(foodCourtmap.latitude);
var lng = parseFloat(foodCourtmap.longitude);
var latlng = new google.maps.LatLng(lat, lng);
var geocoder = new google.maps.Geocoder();
geocoder.geocode({
'latLng': latlng
}, function(results, status) {
if (status == google.maps.GeocoderStatus.OK) {
if (results[1]) {
var contentString = "Location: " + results[1].formatted_address;
var marker = new google.maps.Marker({

var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("food_map_canvas"), currentmapOptions);
// Places
var request = {

radius: '5000',
name: ['restaurent']
};
var service = new google.maps.places.PlacesService(map);
service.search( request, callback );
function callback(results, status)
{
if (status == google.maps.places.PlacesServiceStatus.OK) {
for (var i = 0; i < results.length; i++) {
var place = results[i];

}
}
else
{

var contentString = place.name+","+place.vicinity;
google.maps.event.addListener(marker, 'click', function() {
infowindow.setContent(contentString);
infowindow.open(map, marker);
});
}
foodCourtmap.map = map;
});
};
$rootScope.createFoodCourt = function() {
foodCourtmap.centerOnMe();
}
return {

foodCourtmap.centerOnMe();
return foodCourtmap;
}
};
}
]);
food.html
<ion-view>
<ion-content scroll="false">
<div id="food_map_canvas" data-tap-disabled="true" style="float:right;width:100%; height:100%"></div>
</ion-content>
</ion-view>
So please anyone help in these regards.
The mousedown event was an improvement, however, on iOS the events still fired intermittently for me. After more investigation I found a solution that works 100% of the time by setting optimized: false when creating the marker in addition to using the mousedown event.
E.g.
var newMarker = new google.maps.Marker({
position: latLong,
map: map,
icon: 'https://maps.google.com/mapfiles/ms/icons/green-dot.png',
optimized: false
});
https://code.google.com/p/gmaps-api-issues/issues/detail?id=3834
I had the same issue. The problem was 'click' event is not triggering when we touch on the mobile screen. So I changed to 'mousedown' event. Now I am able to add markers

angular, try to display object in ng-repeat fails

i'm writing an mobile application in javascript with angularJS and ionicframework (last beta v.11), i create dinamically an object and want to display all objects inside in a ng-repeat. Why nr-repeat don't display anything?
This is screen from my object:
I use this code for put values in scope:
$scope.distanceSuppliers = myCar;
And this is the code in html:
<ion-item ng-repeat="(id, supplier) in distanceSuppliers">
<div class="items item-button-right" ng-click="openDetails(id)">
{{supplier.name}}<br />
{{supplier.address}}<br />
</div>
</ion-item>
This is my complete code for JS:
.controller('suppliers', function($scope, cw_db, $ionicPopup, $ionicActionSheet, appdelegate, $rootScope, $firebase, $location, $ionicLoading, cw_position) {
$ionicLoading.show({
template: 'Updating data..'
});
var geocoder;
var tot = 0;
var done = 0;
geocoder = new google.maps.Geocoder();
cw_db.getData(cw_db.getSuppliers(), "", function(suppliers) {
cw_position.getPosition(function (error, position) {
suppliers.on('value', function(supp) {
$scope.distanceSuppliers = {};
tot = 0;
done = 0;
supp.forEach(function(childSnapshot) {
tot++;
var childData = childSnapshot.val();
if (childData.address) {
calculateDistance(childData, position.coords.latitude, position.coords.longitude);
}
});
});
$ionicLoading.hide();
});
});
function calculateDistance(childData, usrLat, usrLon) {
var service = new google.maps.DistanceMatrixService();
service.getDistanceMatrix(
{
origins: [new google.maps.LatLng(usrLat, usrLon)],
destinations: [childData.address],
travelMode: google.maps.TravelMode.DRIVING,
unitSystem: google.maps.UnitSystem.METRIC,
avoidHighways: false,
avoidTolls: false
}, function(response, status) {
if (status != google.maps.DistanceMatrixStatus.OK) {
alert('Error was: ' + status);
} else {
done++;
var results = response.rows[0].elements;
childData.distance = results[0].distance.value;
$scope.distanceSuppliers.push(childData);
if (done == tot) {
console.log($scope.distanceSuppliers);
}
}
});
}
$scope.openDetails = function(index) {
//appdelegate.setCallId(index);
//$location.path("/app/supplierDetails");
}
})
what's wrong?
Not sure, but I believe you have a data binding update problem.
Try using the $timeout to force the render:
w_position.getPosition(function (error, position) {
$timeout(function() {
suppliers.on('value', function(supp) {
$scope.distanceSuppliers = {};
tot = 0;
done = 0;
supp.forEach(function(childSnapshot) {
tot++;
var childData = childSnapshot.val();
if (childData.address) {
calculateDistance(childData, position.coords.latitude, position.coords.longitude);
}
});
});
$ionicLoading.hide();
});
});
And don't forget to add the $timeout parameter to the controller:
.controller('suppliers', function($scope, ...<other parameters here>..., $timeout) {
I found the problem! Fix using $scope.$apply();
The problem was that i was writing in a different $scope using this code:
cw_position.getPosition(function (error, position) {
suppliers.on('value', function(supp) {
tot = 0;
done = 0;
supp.forEach(function(childSnapshot) {
tot++;
var childData = childSnapshot.val();
if (childData.address) {
calculateDistance(childData, position.coords.latitude, position.coords.longitude);
}
});
});
$ionicLoading.hide();
});
where cw_position.getPosition call a js with this code:
angular.module('cw_position', [])
.service('cw_position', function() {
this.getPosition = function(callback) {
navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(
function (position) {
return callback(null, position);
},
function(error) {
return callback(error, null);
}
);
}
// Built google maps map option
//
this.getGoogleMapOptions = function (lat, lon, zoom, type) {
if (type == null) {
type = google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP;
}
var mapOptions = {
center: new google.maps.LatLng(lat, lon),
zoom: zoom,
mapTypeId: type
};
return mapOptions;
}
});
navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition causes the 'problem'
Thx to all for your help

Backbone/Marionette ItemView not rendering on model change

Already a couple of hours struggle trying to solve this...
Although the model gets fetched correctly and I can verify it as the view gets informed of the model's 'change' event, it just does not render.
At startup, the default model data ('Test Project'), is correctly displayed in the view, but after the model is refreshed, the view is not refreshed.
I tried to show a new view in the layout after model refresh but it did not change much...
Any idea or opinion about this ?
App.Project = function () {
var Project = {};
var ProjectModel = Backbone.Model.extend({
defaults:{
id: 0,
name: "Test Project",
intro: "",
desc: ""
},
initialize: function () {
// Flag fetch status to avoid multiple simultaneous calls
this.loading = false;
var self = this;
App.vent.on("project:display", function (_id) { self.fetchProject(_id); });
},
fetchProject: function (_id) {
if (this.loading)
return true;
this.loading = true;
var self = this;
var id = _id;
this.url = 'data.project_'+id+'.json';
this.fetch({
success: function (_data) {
self.loading = false;
},
error: function () {
self.loading = false;
}
});
}
});
Project.Details = new ProjectModel();
var Layout = Backbone.Marionette.Layout.extend({
template: "#project-layout",
regions: { details: "#project_details" }
});
Project.initializeLayout = function () {
Project.layout = new Layout();
App.content.show(App.Project.layout);
};
App.addInitializer(function () {
App.Project.initializeLayout();
});
Project.display = function () {
App.Project.Views.showDetails(Project.Details);
App.vent.trigger("project:display", 1);
}
return Project;
}();
App.Project.Views = function () {
var Views = {};
var DetailView = Backbone.Marionette.ItemView.extend({
template: "#project-details-template",
tagName: "div",
initialize: function () {
//this.listenTo(this.model, "change", this.render, this);
},
modelEvents: {
'change': "modelChanged"
},
modelChanged: function() {
console.log(this.model);
this.render();
}
});
Views.showDetails = function (_project) {
var projectView = new DetailView({model: _project});
App.Project.layout.details.show(projectView);
};
return Views;
}();
App.ProjectRouting = function () {
var ProjectRouting = {};
ProjectRouting.Router = Backbone.Marionette.AppRouter.extend({
initialize: function (_options) {
this.route('project/', "displayProject", _options.controller.display);
}
});
App.vent.on("project:display", function (_id) {
App.navigate("project/");
});
App.addInitializer(function (_options) {
ProjectRouting.router = new ProjectRouting.Router({
controller: App.Project
});
});
return ProjectRouting;
}();

Gmap API V3 marker coordinates

I have found example if someone need however I need to get first coordinates from address so later can adjust it. Someone knows how to do it?
var geocoder = new google.maps.Geocoder();
function geocodePosition(pos) {
geocoder.geocode({
latLng: pos
}, function(responses) {
if (responses && responses.length > 0) {
updateMarkerAddress(responses[0].formatted_address);
} else {
updateMarkerAddress('Cannot determine address at this location.');
}
});
}
function updateMarkerStatus(str) {
document.getElementById('markerStatus').innerHTML = str;
}
function updateMarkerPosition(latLng) {
document.getElementById('info').innerHTML = [
latLng.lat(),
latLng.lng()
].join(', ');
}
function updateMarkerAddress(str) {
document.getElementById('address').innerHTML = str;
}
function initialize() {
var latLng = new google.maps.LatLng(1.54232,-1.4353423);
var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById('mapCanvas'), {
zoom: 8,
center: latLng,
mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP
});
var marker = new google.maps.Marker({
position: latLng,
title: 'Point A',
map: map,
draggable: true
});
// Update current position info.
updateMarkerPosition(latLng);
geocodePosition(latLng);
// Add dragging event listeners.
google.maps.event.addListener(marker, 'dragstart', function() {
updateMarkerAddress('Dragging...');
});
google.maps.event.addListener(marker, 'drag', function() {
updateMarkerStatus('Dragging...');
updateMarkerPosition(marker.getPosition());
});
google.maps.event.addListener(marker, 'dragend', function() {
updateMarkerStatus('Drag ended');
geocodePosition(marker.getPosition());
});
// Onload handler to fire off the app.
google.maps.event.addDomListener(window, 'load', initialize);
if your browser support the geolocation you want get coordinate with this function :
navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(function(position) {
geolocationCoordinates = new google.maps.LatLng(position.coords.latitude,position.coords.longitude);
//position.coords.latitude = latitude coordonates;
//position.coords.longitude = longitude coordonates;
}
after, you can create a new map whith this coordonates.
This code is functional with all browser supporting the geolocation.
