Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks how to add refernce to project - winforms

I've added PowerPacks from MSDN, but I don't have a clue how to add it to my winform project.
what should I looking for in COM tab (in Add reference)?
I saw on some other forms that I need to search for the dll in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0A\Bootstrapper\Packages\VBPowerPacks\en".. but as you can guess I find nothing.
*I know for sure that I did actually installed it because I can see it "Add/Remove Programs".
Please your help :)
Amit.

How to add custom prerequisite for ClickOnce?

I have a WPF application which is distributed by ClickOnce. ClickOnce handles well prerequisite like LocalDb and .Net Desktop Runtime. I started to use Identity in the program so now I need ASP.NET Core Runtime as well, but it is not in the list.
I have sent the problem to MS 3 weeks ago, but no response from them.
https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/t/ClickOnce-prerequisite-ASPNET-Core-Run/10179285?
I started to look how to add a custom prerequisite but the descriptions was quite old or not detailed. Does somebody have a good description?
UPDATE 1
I did some research.
On windows 10 my Bootstrap directory is at "c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\ClickOnce Bootstrapper\Packages". But here are only some of the prerequisite, for example SqlLocalDB2019 but not net 5. Why is that?
I have found some useful stuff, an old and a new. They provided the product.xml and the en/package.xml. I have copied the files to the Packages folder but the new prerequisites did not show in VS. I also tried to copy and modify slightly the existing SqlLocalDB2019 folder but the new version did not show either. What am I missing?
What changes do I need in the two files once the prerequisite appear?
There are two location for prerequisites
"c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\ClickOnce Bootstrapper\Packages"
"d:\Program Files\Visual Studio 2022 Community\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\BootstrapperPackages"
I did not found the problem the old examples but I was able to add my own prerequisite.

I am getting "myApp stopped working" after installig my WPF(+telerik) application

I created a WPF application using telerik control suite (WPF telerik controls and ORM access control) and SQL Express R2 2008 in VS 2012.
Then I created its setup files (using install shield LE and also Advanced Installer) which works on my win7 system, properly () .but when I install the setup file on any other win7 system, it doesn’t work( I am getting this error: “MyAPP has stopped working”).
I installed .NET framework and SQL Express R2 2008(the service’s status is running) and I also copied the mdf and ldf files related to the database in right path that specified in app.xaml.
When I install my setup files, it just copy my project’s debug folder (contains the telerik control dll files, the dll file related to my ORM access control project, built exe file and etc.). I think that’s enough. Isn’t it?
Edit:
The project's Solution's Explorer:
\bin\Debug
I have no idea what to do.
I would really really appreciate any hint or comment.
Regards,
Hiva
I know this is a very general answer although without knowing the details of your project it's the best I can do. I remember when I was creating an app using telerik controls, when I went to publish it I was getting errors in the with the assembly which was a result of including the obj / Debug / Release folders in my project. I tried everything that people listed to get rid of the errors but the only thing that helped was creating a new project, copying in the code and NEVER including(Never right clicking and hitting include in project) those folders in my project.
Is it working when you debug it?
Could you please let me know what steps you are taking to publish the app ?

VS2010 i am missing a reference

using Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.SqlStudio.Explorer;
unable to find this pls assist
[update]
found the dll's in this folders
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\ (in the windows explorer just search for the missing reference and add the .dll)
[update]
Ok my bad i changed the target framework to .Net 4 client profile but have to change to .Net4 framework and the build suceeded
so was unable to resolve this what else i need to do?
This is the ultimate error haunting me
What you wrote is a namespace, not an assembly. You're probably looking for the Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.SDK.SqlStudio assembly.
Note that not all assemblies are listed in this dialog. This can for instance be found in the (Program Files) Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Binn\VSShell\Common7\IDE\ directory, you can use the Browse functionality to add a reference.

Debug\App.g.i.cs and Debug\App.g.cs are identical---what's going on here?

WPF projects in Visual Studio auto-generate Debug\App.g.i.cs and Debug\App.g.cs files. These files are identical. What's happening here? Does the i stand for "interactive" such that one copy is slapped around by Visual Studio (design-time) and the other is used for running the "real" build?
I am also new to wpf...
When going with basics i found one article on WPF
In that it was mentioned "i" as intellisence..
if u want go with this following link
http://stuff.seans.com/2008/07/11/hello-wpf-world-part-1/
I'm not sure what the i stands for, but the *.g.i.<language-extension> files are generated by the compiler as temporary files.

Where does the silverlight 3 toolkit MSI put the DLL files?

Just downloaded the Silverlight 3 Toolkit and executed the MSI file.
Now I need to reference the Microsoft.Windows.Controls.dll file but don't know where MSI unpacked it. Can't find it at C:\ or in C:\Program Files. Where might it be?
ok, this post says that all the components should be in the toolbox, e.g. DockPanel, they are for Visual Studio 2008 Professional but not for Visual Web Developer 2008 Express (it has some controls but not DockPanel for instance)
Answer:
Ok, the answer is: reboot and restart everything (until then Silverlight got a AG_E_PARSER_BAD_TYPE error, and brought down both Visual Studio versions and Firefox). After restarting everything, it works fine: the controls are automatically in the toolbox so you just have to drag them in, no need referencing the dll anymore as in Silverlight 2.
It didnt automatically add anything for me for Silverlight Beta 4 Toolkit and Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2.
I followed these instructions. My toolkit bin was located :
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Silverlight\v4.0\Toolkit
In addition I had to select additional DLLs for additional toolkit items from those described in the article. I also had to check the checkbox to indicate I actually wanted those items.
There must be a better way! Anyone?
Just in case anyone was wondering, I was :-).
There is a start menu group named "Microsoft Silverlight 3 Toolkit March 2009" with all the relevant info. The toolkit assemblies can be found in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Silverlight\v3.0\Toolkit\March 2009\Libraries"
The July 2009 release of the Silverlight Toolkit added a "Open the welcome page" choice at the end of the MSI setup.
The path names for the July release are also slightly different, but using the Welcome page (a link is also added to the Start Menu), you'll always have a quick method to find 'em.
Checking that box will make sure that a page opens up with details about everything that's installed, including links to all the binaries, themes, the documentation, etc.
Also, since the controls are all referenced through the AssemblyFolderEx registry key, you can add a GAC-style reference in your C# or VB.NET project...
<Reference Include="System.Windows.Controls.Input.Toolkit" />
And that will just work when built on a machine with the Silverlight SDK.
Hopefully it's a step in the right direction.
