I had this pressing requirement. We are using bitly as the url-shortening and links analysis part for our project, and we were facing this requirement of being able to view analytics(as shown in bitly dashboard) for only user having 'a'/'one of the' particular username(s).
Do you know a way if bitly supports this.
so my link - bit.ly/xyxx
is clicked by user 'A' group users 10 times and by 'B' group users 5 times.
right now I can view the analytics for all the clicks (A + B user groups) for a single particular link.
I want to be able to view the bitly analytics for the 'A' group users
and
for the 'B' group users separately. Do you now of any way bitly can let me achieve this using their dev API ?
The only way to do this would be to create two unique links and send them to groups A and B separately. Our API does not allow you to distinguish individual users clicking through a given link.
If you use Google Analytics-style utm parameters to create two unique links pointing to the same place, all the clicks will also be rolled up into the same aggregate count for that URL.

I have prestashop website and during the checkout process when choosing the carrier I added a dropdown which contains additional information about shipping when you choose the certain carrier.
More specific: one carrier provide "self-service parcel terminals" service, where customer have to choose the final shipping destination(address) from where he'll pick up the product. The dropdown list contains about 30 choices.
I added dropdown with carrier information as a module and hooked it in hookDisplayBeforeCarrier hook.
How should I save this data into database and then display it in backoffice in orders section?
To fulfills your requirements, you need to use following hooks of PrestaShop.
processCarrier - To save the selection in a cookie or something temporarily
hookNewOrder - To fetch and save the selection into database on order place
displayBackOfficeHeader - To display the selection in back office order details.

I believe you need to add a filter to your xml code.
such as:
filter="RAW" or, probably more appropriately, filter="HTML"
This will keep Joomla from cleaning your code. There are a number of filters available to XML fields when creating modules. You can examine the code here: https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/blob/master/libraries/joomla/filter/input.php#L167 to see the exact list.
What user group is the account you are using a member of? Super Users and Administrator group types should have no filtering set by default but it sounds like you might need to edit those settings.
From the main menu:
System > Global Configuration > Text Filters (tab)
You will see all the available user groups for you website. The group your user belongs to should have a Filter Type of No Filtering. Another important note is its better to add the user account to a group with the permissions then to arbitrarily adding it to a group type typically reserved for registrants, guests or low-level editing.
A lot of my site is dynamically generated dependant on the user location.
To get an initial fix I am currently using the Smart_IP module which does this based on the user IP address - which works great as a starting point. I can access $_SESSION['smart_ip']['location']['longitude'] & $_SESSION['smart_ip']['location']['latitude'] as required - perfect!
But I need to allow my user to override this..
Using HTML5 geolocation. I want to only do this on user request, ie click 'locate me', rather than requesting their location uninvited.
Using one of a few pre-defined locations selectable by the user.
Using an inputed address by the user.
Is there any drupal module I can use for this, or how else could I achieve it?

Just to clarify, I am talking about anonymous users here - the general public visiting my site. I just want them to be able to refine their 'location' by overriding the defaults I give them using smart_ip.
I suggest to use Geolocation field and all it's submodules or Geofield. Last one provides more input methods.
Use the Address field module to allow the user create multiple addresses into a node (or even into his profile), Geocoder module to get the lon/lat from these addresses and then a Views to display them in a list.
Same as 2 but without views.
If you want to allow user select one of the 3 methods you can use an other - helper - field (eg a select list with the 3 options).
Finally you should add an extra field to store the lat/lon pair final values maybe with Computed field module or 2 simple textfields that will get the selected values through javascript.
Before I get into the details, here is the overall goal:
I want to have a group of users which get access to a feed, and any new items that appear in that feed they will get access to as well.
Details:
I am using Organic Groups, Feeds/Feed Items, and Views. I have setup a single Organic Group and added a single user to it. I have taken a Feed and added it to the group as well.
I have tried a few different combinations of the queries for Views and here is where I am at currently: http://cl.ly/2T1a0s1A0j3A0I0d3i1u
There is a relationship setup between the Feed and the Feed Item. There is a filter setup that says if the user has permission to view the Feed they should be able to see the Feed Item.
However, when I login to the user account and visit the URL (which used to just be static and take no arguments, ignore the % I just added) I get a blank page.
It would be great to get some help figuring out this problem and/or some pointers on how to debug it + learn more about Views and how I could use Views/OG to solve this problem.
Thanks,
David
The best way I did OG Groups was to create the group under content type. Once that is done. go back into content type and click on Feed scroll down to OG Groups tab click on it. You should seeNODE in the drop-down box and Groups in a select box below. Make sure node is clicked and Group is highlighted. Click save and now do the same for Feed Item. There is one thing to be mindful of, when the feed imports, it will be bundled with the group however the feed it self will be separate from the nodes created linked only by the group. One way to make it easier to manage is to place the feed and the feed items into the same book when setting up the feed. It akes life much easier that way.
1) I have created a custom object "Hello".
Added two lookup fields to it, one is associated to Accounts and another to Leads.
2) now my custom object appears as a related list in both Account and lead
3) if i goto an account say "**Test_account**" >> i click on the new button
on the "Hello" related list.here i have redirected to a custom
visualforce page "**Welcome**".
Now I want that on my "Welcome Page" I want to display 2 fields.
If user reached this "Welcome Page" via hello related list in accounts then label on this page is set to Accounts
but
If user reached this "Welcome Page" via hello related list in leads then label on this page is set to Leads.
I dont know how to do this.
I can get the retURL in the currentpage URL but it gives me only the id.
Now I am not sure this id belongs to Accounts or Leads.
Accounts nad leads are just examples, there could be many more ojects.
By looking at the first three characters of the id, you can tell the type of object. For example, all Accounts start with '001' and all Leads start with '00Q'. You can get all the key prefixes from the DescribeSObjectResult in either Apex or the Web Services API. The API also returns this in the DescribeGlobalResult, which is handy if you want to load all the key prefixes in one call. The REST API also has the key prefix, but you'd have to traverse all the objects to get to it.
