Creating Sencha Touch native app - extjs

I want to create the native app in sencha touch 2. I have go trough the Sencha Documents and try to create it but I am using the Sencha Cmd v3.1.1.274 and I have tried to run sencha package run command on Sencha CMD.
I got the error like,Sencha Cmd v3.1.1.274 [ERR] Unknown command: "run". anybody knows why i got this error?
Thanks in advance.

in your app folder, type:
sencha app build native

# neo worked for me..thanks.
`sencha app build native' created a packager.temp.json
Then type
'sencha app package run'
Its build a native app and opens up ios simulator with the buid app.

Sencha CMD build classic app not working but modern does

I have sencha Universal app. Recently i switched from windows to Linux so i have to reinstall everything.
Now my sencha CMD version is v6.7.0.63, app version is 6.2.167. When i try to create new app with CMD it is successfully creating the new app, and sencha app build classic on this newly created app is also good. But when i try to build the old app, it is not working. My Old app build ios is also working. But not the classic.
Here is the error it gives when i run sencha app build classic
Exception information:
Sencha/Cmd/6.7.0.63/plugin.xml:333: The following
error occurred while executing this line:
htdocs/pi-v3/public/App/.sencha/app/build-impl.xml:273:
The following error occurred while executing this line:
htdocs/pi-v3/public/App/.sencha/app/js-impl.xml:186:
com.sencha.exceptions.BasicException
at com.sencha.ant.AntScript.execute(AntScript.java:121)
and when i run sencha app build ios it run without any error
The error was so unclear in linux. But i was able to solve it. As you can see the error doesn't say anything about the head or memory but it was actually error due to small heap size. so i have to increase the memory using;
export _JAVA_OPTIONS="-Xms1024m -Xmx2048m"

How to "watch" sencha build process?

I am working on a Ext JS project and I need to compile JSB3 file using Sencha build. I just wanted to know if there is a way to automate the build process. When I use "watch" Sencha Cmd shows it as unknown command.
I am using Sencha Cmd v6 and Ext Js 4.1.
You have to run sencha app watch in the application root folder. Now when you change anything in your project the build will be run automatically.
The other commands which can be interesting for your are sencha app build production and sencha app build testing
You can also use sencha help SomeCommand and it will print you all the options about that command.
You can learn more at http://docs.sencha.com/cmd/guides/extjs/cmd_app.html#extjs-_-cmd_app_-_development_mode
You looking for this i think
sencha app watch
sencha app refresh
sencha app build
these are cammands use to watch refresh and build a sencha application
for example::
if you are locally and using xampp
C:>cd xampp/htdocs/foldername/applicationname
and then sencha app watch

Unable to use sencha command to generate project ExtJs 5.1

I am using extjs 5.1. As suggested here I have downloaded and installed sencha cmd 5
After issuing following command from terminal sencha generate app -ext MyApp ./app I am getting errors as shown in below image. Please help
I installed the sencha exe #C:\Program Files\Sencha\Sencha\Cmd\5.1.2.52 on my box.
-sdk flag should point to folder of the ExtJS framework, not to Cmd folder.
You have to download framework first or use remote version of the framework sencha generate app -ext MyApp ./app

Unable to locate framework.dir in sencha

I have installed sencha cmd 4.0.4.84. But when i tried to create an App it is showing Unalble to locate framework.dir property from sencha config.Ensure the command was executed from a valid framework direcotry.Non framework directory
It is exactly what it says: you are most likely running sencha from a wrong directory.
cd /where/you/extracted/ext-4.2.1
sencha generate app MyApp /where/you/want/myapp
For more details watch: Creating Workspace and Applications video.
I made a big mistake- i was running from sencha command root. But it has to be running from
Extjs version root. we have to create a worklocation inside it. their will extjs folder and from their we need run the command to create the App. Now it is working perfectly
You'll want to take a look at the cmd tools and workspaces.
A little more specifically take a look at the framework locations section of the page.
It's better to go to the SDK folder just mention the SDK path in your command while generating the app:
sencha -sdk <YOUR SDK PATH> generate app <APP NAME> <PATH TO GENERATE APP>
Before creating any sencha app.
Understand 2 things.
1. Sencha CMD
2.Extjs framework.
Both are different.
Coming to point:.
1. Download the latest extjs framework.
2.Use the below command
sencha -sdk=path/to/ext generate app MyAPP path/to/worspace/of/MyApp
This will solve the above issue asked in question.

how to run sencha touch examples in iOS simulator

I installed sencha touch and sencha touch command and was able to view the examples in localhost.
But How do I run these examples in iOS simulator?
I tried below commands from with in the examples directory on iMac
from directory: touch-2.3.1/examples/kitchensink
sencha app package run packager.json
User-iMac:list-horizontal yuyutsu$ sencha app package run packager.json
Sencha Cmd v4.0.4.84

[ERR] stbuild exited with non-zero code : 1
or from another app, directory: touch-2.3.1/examples/list-horizontal
Also tried running sencha app build -run native.
It failed with

I have Xcode 5. OS X version 10.9.2. I am able to run the native XCode projects in simulator using XCode.
Any idea on how can I run the sencha examples in iOS simulator? Is there a document which has the steps?
One very easy way (if you don't need device api) is to build the webapp through Sencha CMD and navigate in iOS Simulators Safari to the index.html file. You can do "add to Homescreen" and if you click the icon on your homescreen now you get the app in fullscreen.
The big advantage is that you can do really quick builds, but it does not fit always, because it's just the webapp, not the native one.
If you need to package your app native (e.g. for Device API) you can follow this guide: http://frightanic.com/software-development/sencha-touch-native-packaging-for-ios-done-right/
As it is running on localhost, you can simply check on simulators by using the same urls as on browser
iPhone 4
iPhone 5
Also, you can try Intel XDK, it has inbuilt iPhone simultors. It is easy to use. Simply put application and run.
Intel XDK
Or you can try packaging it in native iOS so that you can run in Xcode and see on Xcode simulator your app working. For that you can use Phonegap, refer link
http://docs-origin.sencha.com/touch/2.3.2/#!/guide/cordova-section-iOSNote
Also,
http://docs.sencha.com/touch/2.3.2/#!/guide/native_provisioning
Hope this helps you with your problem.
Failure to launch iOS simulator could be because of the below bug mentioned in sencha forum
"There is currently a bug open SDKTOOLS-783 where Sencha Native packager fails to locate Xcode 5.1 and thus unable to run in simulator."
I will try Phonegap/Cordova and post my observations.
