Change the full title on a single page (Drupal) - drupal-7

I need to change the title of a single page within a Drupal site.
Right now I have it set up so that in hook_preprocess_page I'm calling drupal_set_title(). That's fine, except that it leaves the site name in the title. How can I change the complete title, site name and all? I don't want the site name to appear on this one page.

i think you can change the title by use
drupal_set_title(check_plain($node->title));
may be this module help you

New webpage needs to close previous page

I'm working with a hospital where we are implementing a web-application that is triggered from their own hospital information system (HIS).
The way the app works is that in their HIS, they select a patient and call the web-app with the patientId in the url.
Regarding patient safety, they want only one of those tabs open at the same time.
So if a second patient-tab is opened, the first one should be closed ..
Is this possible? And if it is, how?
Edit following danday74's answer
The url from the HIS is triggered via command line arguments (SAP system).
Firefox "http://url_to_webpage/"
when you link to the patient tab do this ...
<a ng-href="/your/patient/url" target="patientTab">open new patient tab</a>
When the link is clicked it should open the page in a new tab called "patientTab" - if another link is clicked with the target patientTab then it will use the existing "patientTab" - just make sure all your anchor tags that use the patientTab have the target set.
hope that does the job for you :)
So for the people that have a similar problem, the way we fixed it was the following:
On the init script for the page, we check if a session variable tab-token is found and if it contains a UUID
If the variable is not found, it means that no other open tab is found and we leave the tab active + create the variable and store a generated UUID in it
If a UUID is found, that means another tab is also active and we show a screen overlay with the message that another active tab was found
We watch on every change in the session variable and update the screen overlay whenever and wherever it needs to.
It is not a fool-proof solution, but in the context and usage of the application, it is sufficient ..

In Drupal 7 views how to give external link (another website) to a title?

Iam new to drupal 7 views.
I have a content type contains title, description fields. I want the content title's to scroll at the top of the page, so that i created a view and it works fine.What is my question is, i want to link a content (eg: 1st content (title) in a scroll) to another website instead of content page, the remaining contents linked to the content page. Is it possible?.If it is possible how it can be done?..
Thanks in advance,
A.John Melchior.
Yes, it's possible.
One way to do it, would be to use the Link module to create a link field in your node.
Use the link field to input the external link value.
In views add the link field, before the title ( order is important ) and exclude it from display
Add the node title field in the views and in the rewrite field output option, use one the link field token as your path.
I'm not looking at the Views UI right now , but you should find at least a couple of ways to redirect content when the node title is clicked. You should have the Rewrite field output and the Output this field as a link.
You could make use of Display Suite coupled with the description above.
Create a link field for your nodes.
Create 2 view modes for your content type via Display Suite. View Mode 1 will show the link field as the first data element, View Mode 2 will show the title as the first element.
Configure your view to show output using Display Suite, configured to show the first record using View Mode 1, all others using View Mode 2.

Drupal 7 displaying different user content

I have searched and searched and cannot find a solution to my specific problem...
I have a site that users join, and can upload their own videos. I crated a specific video type to handle this upload.
Other users can log in and see this content, they get to the content by clicking on a "profile" link for a specific user, and then it should display all the videos that user uploaded. Currently all I can get to work is display ALL of that content type, or none... I cannot figure out how to just get the user being looked for.
In my URL i have the user name being sent, because other info on the profile page that loads is driven off of that ( looked up in mysql tables and displayed with PHP).
As I mentioned I have a filter that limits to playervideo ( which is my content type) and that works, but as mentioned it displays all not just the user I am looking for.
any help would be much appreciated!!
thanks
I think your question is "How do I make a page for all users that lists content authored by a specific user"
I'd do this with the Views module.
Add a view for all your nodes.
Then add a "relationship" for "Content: Author".
Now add a "contextual filter" for the field "user: uid" with a default argument the userid from the URL.
Or you could try to add a contextual filter of "Content: User posted or commented" with the default value as the UID from the URL.
Cheers!

DotNetNuke Switching Between Multple Edit Modules

I have a custom module in DNN 7 that has a data structure where items belong to categories (called "sections", not DNN taxonomy, just a simple list of section names). The module edit screens work so that on the view control you may click on an edit link on each category, which loads the category edit screen (passing the category id). This works great, and when you save I use Globals.NavigateURL() to return to the view screen. This all works as intended.
On each category edit screen I also have a list of the items within that category, each with an edit link. Clicking the edit link opens the item edit screen, passing the correct item id, and allowing me to edit that item. This all works great, until you save. The save works properly, but when I want to send the user back to the edit screen for the category it doesn't work. When I use:
Response.Redirect(EditUrl("SectionId", sectionid.ToString(), "EditSections"), true);
...nothing happens. It simply doesn't redirect anywhere. This is exactly the same URL I'm using to get to the category edit page in the first place:
EditUrl("SectionId", Eval("SectionId").ToString(), "EditSections")
And then I use a similar URL to get to the item edit page:
EditUrl("ItemId", Eval("ItemId").ToString(), "EditItems")
I don't understand why using the same URL to navigate to the same page I already navigated to would simply not do anything. For now I am sending them all the way back to the view, but it's painful if you need to add several items to the same category to have to navigate back into the category and add another item, only to be sent back to the view.
Anyone see anything like this before?
Have you tried to use the overload of NavigateUrl instead of EditUrl?
Globals.NavigateURL(TabId, "EditSections", "mid", ModuleId.ToString(), "SectionId", Eval("SectionId").ToString())
I haven't seen that myself but I would have to assume that somehow the context is being lost with EditURL and you're not getting sent to the proper location due to that.
I would suggest you try one of two things (or both).
Debug the URL that EditURL is returning and see if you can find the
difference.
Use NavigateURL for all your links and pass in MID=## for your
moduleid as a querystring parameter, to ensure that the proper
values are being passed.
UPDATE: If you're trying to have multiple edit views, and move between them, you might look at using a "loader" instead of having separate module definitions for the edit controls. Basically have a single Edit.ascx file defined, and it loads other ASCX files within it, injecting into a Panel. The View control on this module http://dnnsimplearticle.codeplex.com/ does that, but I haven't tried it with an edit control before.

Views Content Pane "Related content" by taxonomy

I'm currently developing a Drupal 7 site where I use Page Manager's "node_view" to customize the layout for my "Article" content type.
So, whenever viewing an Article I want to show a little box with "Related content".
I have a taxonomy vocabulary "Shared category" that I use in all my content types.
For example I also have a "Gallery" content type, so when viewing an article in with the "myTag" term - I want to show a Content Pane with images tagged with "myTag" from the "Shared category" vocabulary.
My question is about setting up the Contextual Filter for the Content Pane.
Should the "Argument input" be a Vocabulary or a Term? - I've tried both but can't get it to work.
Also I have another question: Is it possible to use a Content Pane as a block, that is shown with the Panel? - I guess not, sinse the Contextual filter value comes from Page Manager.
You won't want to manually input the argument in the panel, as it will vary for each article.
You'll want to set it automatically using a default argument that gets the tid from the node.
To get the related content block to show content based on the same terms as the node being viewed, you'd need to add a taxonomy term id argument to the view.
You can then try the 'Set a default argument' and use 'taxonomy term from URL' ( node option )
If that doesn't work, you may need to get the relevant tid from node using php code in the default argument area, with something like node_load or menu_get_object to load the node.
e.g something like
if($node = menu_get_object()){
if(isset($node->field_shared_category[$node->language][0]['tid'])){
return $node->field_shared_category[$node->language][0]['tid'];
}
}
Related content can be shown by using contextual filter in block views. This block view will contain content which are associated with the current content viewed by a user.
You can goto "Create related content block view based on terms in Drupal 7" blog post to get step by step instruction to create this block view.
