I am developing a simple web-mail client using cakephp2.
For the mailbox list display I am successfully implemented pagination with Paginator helper
Now when I click a particular item in the mailbox list page will show
the message details. In the message display page I also want to show navigation
e.g 3 of 23 << | >>
Is it possible to do this with Paginatir helper?
Awaiting your valuable suggestion.
Regards.
Paginator documentation does not provide information which I have asked for,
But fortunately after a vast reading of Retrieving Your Data section of Model in
cakephp2.0 documentation I have got my ANSWER.
I have almost done with find(neighbors)
Get Your Neigbor
Now I have to set the record number for the current record...then it will be completed.
Thanks for responding..

React router has very cool feature: if you have a list of items (Instagram for example) and if you click on one item, content opens in modal/overlay but if you copy-paste the link to new tab/window or share the link with a friend for example, it opens in its own page.
I would love to use this feature but I need to find a custom solution..
My posts are very data heavy
I've split posts data into 2 tables in database
1st is very lightweight containing essential data: 4-5 columns
2nd table is very heave, ~30 columns
When user uses search filter, list updates only with data from 1st table
If user clicks on post, it will open in a modal/overlay
I will recycle the data I already have (from 1st table) and also get rest of the data from 2nd table
However, when user shares the link or opens it in new tab/page, data from 1st table is not present. I would need to integrate a conditional logic:
If post opens in list view (modal/overlay), only get additinal 2nd table data
If it's opened in a new tab/window in its own page, get all the data, 1st table included
How could I integrate this with React router? Has anyone already tried it? This would also allow to use different layout/components when user opens item in page view. Is there a way to check it?
Or is there a flaw in my logic? I imagine list would update very fast because it doesn't require huge amount of data and also would modal/overlay because it recycles some of the data.
I read all the docs, also searched online - didn't find anything.
Modals in react router are great. I've used the pinterest example and adapted it to my own needs.
Ensure you do your check on state.modal===true in a master layout component to give you the modal styling.
you'll need to check if table 1 stuff is present in your state and dispatch an action to trigger the async call in componentDidMount. You should be fetching table 2 in all scenarios.
I am writing a Chrome extension using AngularJS to add functionality to the Soundcloud stream page. I want to allow the user to create groups of artists so that they may only see a stream with tracks/shares/playlists from that group of artists.
For example, I follow 500 artists, but I want to quickly see a stream from my favorite 10 artists or from the artists I follow that are on the same label.
I am looking for advice on how I could go about making this as seamless as possible. As of right now, my approach involves getting the tracks with the Soundcloud API and using angular's ng-repeat to display the tracks in a view injected into where the stream normally goes. I realized using the Soundcloud widget was too slow and can't be customized to resemble the native stream items, so I copy/pasted the HTML that an actual stream item uses, but obviously the waveform/comment canvas and button functionality don't work.
What are my options as far as how I can approach this? Am I going to need to write my own players that look like the native Soundcloud ones? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
You should use the SoundCloud API which is very well documented.
If you have already the id's of the tracks / artist, you just have to request the url
GET
http://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/ID_OF_TRACK.json?client_id=YOUR_CLIENT_ID
to get all the informations you need about this track, like the waveform_url, and for the comments you was talking about :
GET
http://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/ID_OF_TRACK/comments.json?client_id=YOUR_CLIENT_ID
To reproduce the behaviour of the comments :
POST http://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/ID_OF_TRACK/comments.json?client_id=YOUR_CLIENT_ID
(with a body param which represents the text and a timestamp in ms since the beginnin of the song, note that you must be connected)
If you don't have the id of the track, you could also use the resolve which give you all the info about a ressource if you have only the URL :
GET
http://api.soundcloud.com/resolve.json?url=https://soundcloud.com/poldoore/pete-rock-c-l-smooth-they&client_id=YOUR_CLIENT_ID
I have searched and searched and cannot find a solution to my specific problem...
I have a site that users join, and can upload their own videos. I crated a specific video type to handle this upload.
Other users can log in and see this content, they get to the content by clicking on a "profile" link for a specific user, and then it should display all the videos that user uploaded. Currently all I can get to work is display ALL of that content type, or none... I cannot figure out how to just get the user being looked for.
In my URL i have the user name being sent, because other info on the profile page that loads is driven off of that ( looked up in mysql tables and displayed with PHP).
As I mentioned I have a filter that limits to playervideo ( which is my content type) and that works, but as mentioned it displays all not just the user I am looking for.
any help would be much appreciated!!
thanks
I think your question is "How do I make a page for all users that lists content authored by a specific user"
I'd do this with the Views module.
Add a view for all your nodes.
Then add a "relationship" for "Content: Author".
Now add a "contextual filter" for the field "user: uid" with a default argument the userid from the URL.
Or you could try to add a contextual filter of "Content: User posted or commented" with the default value as the UID from the URL.
Cheers!
I am trying to create a custom lookup page on Salesforce: from a first Visualforce page, I open a second one in which there are a series of available choices; then I click on one of those choices and then I expect the latter page (the custom lookup) to close and the value of my choice to appear in the first page's lookup field.
I am unsure on this very last point: how do I make my choice appear in the earlier page?
As described in this awesome Jeff Douglas post you need to call function lookupPick2 in following manner
top.window.opener.lookupPick2('{!FormTag}','{!TextBox}_lkid','{!TextBox}','{!a.Id}','{!a.Name}', false);
Please read the entire post to get the full picture.
Where is LookupPick2 documented? When I google for it all I find is code examples and blog posts. Is there any documentation for it? I'll keep looking, but wherever it may be doesn't rank very high...
I'm working on a Drupal site an need to implement the following:
I have created an about us page template (page--about.tpl.php) and a custom content type for the about us page and linked the 2 using suggestions. I also have a custom content type for staff profiles that I need to add on the about us page in a tabbed format.
I can't seem to find a way to get the staff content to display in the about us page. I would ideally like it to render it the same manner as blog posts would display in a blog page.
So my question is, what code do I use to render all the nodes of the staff profiles content type in the about template page?
p.s I'm a bit of a Drupal noob, done a lot of reading but come up empty on this one.
If you already created content type About us (that is what i understood from mockup and explanation) then maybe you could use Views with EVA. That will enable you to have view as field in content type.
You can set it up with manage display or print it in template as all other fields. For example:
<?php print render($content['your_view_entity_view_1']); ?>
Other way would be to embed view in template. For example:
<?php print views_embed_view('your_view', 'block'); ?>
You can use the excellent Views module to create a block to list all your staffs.
Then you need to place the block that you had created with the help of view module in about-us page.
The Views module will give you suggestions to about which template to use.
EDIT: After the op provided the following image.
After you create a view to show all the Team member nodes you could simply print the view in your about us specific page template using following code.
$view = views_get_view('view name');
print $view->render('display_id');
Another option to do the same thing is, make blocks for all the content, viz. The Firm, The Team, Awards, Technonogly, Services and use quicktabs to display the content.
Yet another option to show a view as a field for a node is use EVA
Going the quicktabs way you can provide a lot of flexibility of showing teaser in about us page and leading to details about the same. For example each award can be a node in itself.
