I have a Jenkins pipeline job, which is parametrized. It will take a string input and pass that to a bat script.
Input : https://jazz-test3.com/web/projects/ABC
I wanted to include a config file, it should be placed in a location (may be in the Jenkins machine locally or what can be the best option?).
Sample config file: server_config.txt
test1 : https://jazz-test1.com
test2 : https://jazz-test2.com
test3 : https://jazz-test3.com
Once the user input is received , the job should access this file and check whether the server in the input link is present in the config file.
If present call the bat script if not present throw an error , the server is not supported.
Expected result:
Input 1 : https://jazz-test3.com/web/projects/ABC
Job should run
Input 2 : https://jazz-test4.com/web/projects/ABC
Job should fail with error message
What is the best way of achieving this ?
Can we do it directly from the pipeline or a separate script will be required to perform this ?
Thank you for the help!!
Jenkins supports configuration files stored on the controller via the config-file-provider plugin. See Manage Jenkins | Managed Files for the collection of managed configuration files.
You can add a JSON config file with id "test-servers" that stores your test server configuration:
{
"test1":"https://jazz-test-1.com",
"test2":"https://jazz-test-1.com"
}
Then the job pipeline would do something like:
servers = [:]
stage("Setup") {
steps {
configFileProvider([fileId:'test-servers', variable:'test_servers_json']) {
script {
// Read the json data from the file.
echo "Loading configured servers from file '${test_servers_json}' ..."
servers = readJSON(file:test_servers_json)
}
}
}
}
stage('Test') {
steps {
script {
// Check if 'server' is supported.
if (!servers.containsKey(params.server)) {
error "Unsupported server"
}
build job:'...', parameters:[...]
}
}
}
I need help understanding the error message, which is along the lines of changing the file name to json because the configuration fails. I have a long error message but pasted the part that is mostly repeated throughout the message:

What I did: Ran image extractor after activating Conda env. I modified the image extractor to change the file path to point to a .ply file in the matterport dataset.
Setup: 1)Facebook's AI Habitat-sim built from source,
2)MacBook Air M1,
3)Conda environment with the dependencies (using pip install -r requirements.txt) but habitat-sim is not installed by Conda,
4)Matterport3D dataset (downloaded one house).
Thank you.
I am trying to doing ETL job (read,convert, store an excel) .
This route work fine :
from("file:src/data?move=processed&moveFailed=error&idempotent=true")
.bean(ExcelTransformer.class,"process")
.to("jpa:cie.service.receiver.DatiTelefonici?entityType=java.util.ArrayList");
but I need a customization in case of Exception : I need to move file in other folder , then applied :
onException(Throwable.class).maximumRedeliveries(0).to("file:src/data?move=error");
But file component can't move the file because is locket by first file comp instance.
Then I am tryinf to use try/catch but it doesn't work (probably the move operation inside catch is unaware of correct file name ? )
from("file:src/data?noop=true")
.doTry()
.bean(ExcelTransformer.class,"process")
.to("jpa:cie.service.receiver.DatiTelefonici?entityType=java.util.ArrayList")
.to("file:src/data?move=processed")
.doCatch(Throwable.class)
.to("file:src/data?move=error")
.end();
tanks
After many comments my current code looks like :
from("file:src/data?noop=false&delete=true")
.doTry()
.bean(ExcelTransformer.class,"process") .to("jpa:cie.service.receiver.DatiTelefonici?entityType=java.util.ArrayList")
.to("file:src/data/processed")
.doCatch(Throwable.class)
.to("file:src/data/error")
/*
.doFinally()
.to("file:src/data:delete=true")
*/
.end();
It move correctly the file in processed and error folder but the file remain in main folder and is preocessed more ,recursively
If I understood your question well then you need remove the idempotent=true from the parameters, then it should work:
from("file:src/data?move=processed&moveFailed=error")
.bean(ExcelTransformer.class,"process")
.to("jpa:cie.service.receiver.DatiTelefonici?entityType=java.util.ArrayList");
The previous route moves the file to the processed folder if the routing was successful otherwise it moves the file to the error folder (if any exception happens). The filename won't be changed.
Other solution with try-catch
from("file://src/data?delete=true")
.doTry()
.bean(ExcelTransformer.class,"process")
.to("jpa:cie.service.receiver.DatiTelefonici?entityType=java.util.ArrayList")
.to("file://src/data/processed")
.doCatch(Throwable.class)
.to("file://src/data/error")
.end();
I've got a problem with uploading a file with ZF.
This is my application structure:
//application
//images
index.php
//library
//styles
//public
//img
The application path in index.php seems to be ok:
defined('APPLICATION_PATH')
|| define('APPLICATION_PATH', realpath(dirname(__FILE__) . '/application'));
When i try to upload a file i get a message (such a dir does not exist).
This is my controllers code snippet:
$upload->setDestination(APPLICATION_PATH . '../public/img/');
Can anyone help please?
Your APPLICATION_PATH is not followed by a slash. Invoke setDestination() like this:
$upload->setDestination(APPLICATION_PATH . '/../public/img/');
I want to execute a perl script located in usr/lib/cgi-bin/script.pl when I get a GET request from client.
The client request looks like this :
http://abc.xyz.com/60447/some.co.uk/MAIN0000000094884995-201309111452330000.nff?u=55313841&c=i&s=n
The above URL is dynamic from /60 ... and i want to execute the perl script in cgi-bin.
The script has all permissions (chmod 777) and Runs when executed using perl command.
I tried with ScriptAliasMatch and ALiasMatch in apach2.conf but it doesnt seems working.
Can anyone please suggest me what else need to be configured ?
