I'm getting following error in log file while indexing data to solr.This error appears when i'm indexing "Date" info to solr. I'm using Oracle 10G and solr version 3.5. I think date format may be wrong here. I checked enough couldn't find the solution. Following is my error:
date format "'date1'='2012-05-23T09:47:23'"

Is there a mistake from my side.Plz help me...I`m new to solr.
You seem to be missing the trailing Z - i e UTC timezone which is mandatory. It should look something like this:
2012-05-23T09:47:23Z
http://lucene.apache.org/solr/api-4_0_0-BETA/org/apache/solr/schema/DateField.html
{
convertTimestamp {
field :To
inputFormats : ["yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss.SSS'Z'", "yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss", "yyyy-MM-dd"]
inputTimezone : UTC
outputFormat : "yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss.SSSZ"
outputTimezone : Europe/London
}
}
If you're using this piece of morphlines code from the kite-examples-morphlines package, if you look on the out outputformat column they have made an error. it should be "yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss.SSS'Z'". hope this helps anyone else using morphlines.

We are stated to see security issue related to extended choice parameters in jenkins ,which gets json array as input. Please find the error . Can you please help on this. FYI There was no jenkins or plugins update done recently. This stared happening all of the sudden (2 weeks back) and all the "extended choice parameters" got deleted without any clue in jenkins build.
extended choice parameters VERSION - 0.78
jenkins VERSION - 2.263.1
Issue has been fixed by replacing the extended choice parameter jar file with the latest version which had fix to extended_choice_parameter.ExtendedChoiceParameterValue parameters. Also, make sure to White list "export JDK_JAVA_OPTIONS="Dhudson.remoting.ClassFilter=com.cwctravel.hudson.plugins.extended_choice_parameter.ExtendedChoiceParameterValue" in .bash_profile of your jenkins machine
I'm doing a simple partial update scenario which worked with version 6.x and 7.x of Solr. After upgdrading both Solr and Solrj to 8.8, I'm getting the following exception:

.....
solrj code is just similar to the sample provided here and was working before upgrade. The operation is 'add' with a simple integer field for a document whose id is provided.
Note that this is different from a previous question on stackoverflow, since I'm passing simple integer field and on solr/lucene side it's replaced with org.apache.lucene.document.LazyDocument$LazyField.
Seems to be a bug in Solr https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-13034 to be fixed in the next version of solr 8 (8.9).
Until it's released the workaround is to set <enableLazyFieldLoading>false</enableLazyFieldLoading> in solrconfig.xml
I had a problem when I tried to integrate 'Solr' with 'Nutch':

Had same problem and yours probably is due to the same reason
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NUTCH-2269
Try patch it and error should be gone
From my finding, it appears to be a bug. Here's a blog that explains it well, https://reformatcode.com/code/apache-configuration/apache-nutch-112-with-apache-solr-621-give-an-error
Just updated to DSE 3.2 from 3.1 using the guide to run the update, now the logs littered with this exception. When querying via SOLR we are getting missing data, however it seems that when querying using cqlsh or the cli, the data is there.

This is known issue that is fixed in DSE 3.2.1.
We just released 3.2.1, which should address your issues. Our developers where able to replicate the stack trace, and resolved that. We also addressed the issue with the indexes not properly handled after a restart.
That looks like some files did not flush correctly on shutdown. You will have to do a full re-index (with deleting) on nodes showing those errors to get the lucene indexes to rebuild.
This page shows how to initiate a re-index. http://www.datastax.com/docs/datastax_enterprise3.2/solutions/dse_search_upload#reloading-a-solr-core
A workaround for this is to change your solr config to use (we are working on a proper fix):
<directoryFactory name="DirectoryFactory" class="solr.StandardDirectoryFactory"/>
If the problem continues, then the CF needs to be re-indexed.
to solve a problem described at [question]: Solr: where to store additional information?
i wrote a function termcnt(fieldname) which just count specific terms in document regarding specified fieldname.
Using solr admin page (http://localhost:8080/admin/form.jsp) in "Solr/Lucene Statement" I queried:
fq={!frange l=3 u=1000}termcnt(wc_text)
and got an error:
type Status report
message org.apache.lucene.queryParser.ParseException: Cannot parse 'fq={!frange l=3 u=1000}termcnt(wc_text)': Encountered " <RANGEEX_GOOP> "u=1000 "" at line 1, column 16. Was expecting: "}" ...
description The request sent by the client was syntactically incorrect (org.apache.lucene.queryParser.ParseException: Cannot parse 'fq={!frange l=3 u=1000}termcnt(wc_text)': Encountered " <RANGEEX_GOOP> "u=1000 "" at line 1, column 16. Was expecting: "}" ... ).
where is my mistake?
thank you
P.S. when I'm queering:
_val_:"termcnt(wc_text)"
my function is working properly...
P.P.S even with sum func i have the same results :(
fq={!frange l=3 u=1000}sum(2,3)

I believe the interface has changed somewhat since this was written--but your query
fq={!frange l=3 u=1000}sum(2,3)
seems to be written correctly. You might try to url encode it, like
fq=%7B!frange+l%3D3+u%3D1000%7Dsum(2%2C3)
But I have a feeling this issue is solved just from newer versions of Solr and the admin panel.
