health monitoring in mvc3 - sql-server

I want to do a health monitoring in mvc3 application.
I am doing with eventviewer. But I want to save these events and errors to store into Sql server database.
<healthMonitoring enabled="true" heartbeatInterval="10">
<providers>
<clear/>
<add name="EventLogProvider" type="System.Web.Management.EventLogWebEventProvider,System.Web,Version=4.0.0.0,Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a" />
<add connectionStringName="LocalSqlServer" maxEventDetailsLength="1073741823"
buffer="false" bufferMode="Notification" name="SqlWebEventProviderlane"
type="System.Web.Management.SqlWebEventProvider,System.Web,Version=4.0.0.0,Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a" />
</providers>
<profiles>
<add name="Default" minInstances="1" maxLimit="Infinite" minInterval="00:01:00"
custom="" />
<add name="Critical" minInstances="1" maxLimit="Infinite" minInterval="00:00:00"
custom="" />
</profiles>
<rules>
<clear/>
<add name="All Errors Default" eventName="All Events" provider="EventLogProvider"
profile="Default" minInstances="1" maxLimit="Infinite" minInterval="00:01:00"
custom="" />
<add name="Failure Audits Default" eventName="Failure Audits"
provider="EventLogProvider" profile="Default" minInstances="1"
maxLimit="Infinite" minInterval="00:01:00" custom="" />
</rules>
<eventMappings>
<clear/>
<add name="All Events" type="System.Web.Management.WebBaseEvent,System.Web,Version=4.0.0.0,Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a"
startEventCode="0" endEventCode="2147483647" />
<add name="All Errors" type="System.Web.Management.WebBaseErrorEvent,System.Web,Version=4.0.0.0,Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a"
startEventCode="0" endEventCode="2147483647" />
</eventMappings>
</healthMonitoring>
How to do this?

In the rules section, you have to refer to the provider with the name 'SqlWebEventProviderlane':
<add name="All Errors Default" eventName="All Events" provider="SqlWebEventProviderlane"
profile="Default" minInstances="1" maxLimit="Infinite" minInterval="00:01:00"
custom="" />
Then you have to provide a connection string with the name 'LocalSqlServer' in the section, which points to your database.
<connectionStrings>
<add name="LocalSqlServer" connectionString="data source=serverName;initial catalog=yourDataBase;..."/>
</connectionStrings>
And you have to prepare your database with the tool aspnet_regsql.

No route registered for static file in Azure App Service

I have a Azure App Service that runs a ReactJS application. In the release pipeline I extract a zip file that contains my Cypress test results.
When I navigate to my Kudu console I can find the correct folder and files in my PS D:\home\site\wwwroot\e2e\mochawesome-report> folder. But when I navigate to
a video:
https://exampleUrl/e2e/mochawesome-report/video/onboarding.spec.js.mp4
The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
But when I navigate to: https://exampleUrl.azurewebsites.net/e2e/mochawesome-report/screenshot/customer-card.spec.js/Customer card action tab -- can click on the account tab (failed).png
I can view the image.
Is there some configuration needed to view static files?
##EDIT##
Added my web.config:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<configuration>
<system.webServer>
<rewrite>
<rules>
<rule name="React Routes" stopProcessing="true">
<match url=".*" />
<conditions logicalGrouping="MatchAll">
<add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsFile" negate="true" />
<add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsDirectory" negate="true" />
<add input="{REQUEST_URI}" pattern="^/(api)" negate="true" />
</conditions>
<action type="Rewrite" url="/" />
</rule>
</rules>
</rewrite>
</system.webServer>
</configuration>
I'm pretty sure I found this somewhere on the web.
Something else I noticed. I can now open a .html and .css, .js and .png files but no .json, .woff, .woff2 and mp4.
You need to define file extensions to your web app.
Add these lines to your web.config, below your </rewrite>, then restart your Web App:
<staticContent>
<mimeMap fileExtension=".mp4" mimeType="video/mp4" />
</staticContent>
To add other extensions (like json):
<mimeMap fileExtension=".json" mimeType="text/plain" /
The result would be:
<staticContent>
<mimeMap fileExtension=".mp4" mimeType="video/mp4" />
<mimeMap fileExtension=".json" mimeType="text/plain" /
</staticContent>

IUP - Windows SDK static link

I want to write a multiplatform, native desktop application in C. After some searching, I found IUP to be the perfect fit. Unfortunately, I'm struggling to link the Windows SDK. For now, I just want to statically compile the x64 version for Windows 8.1. When I compile this example in Code::Blocks, I get the following errors:
g++.exe -LC:\MinGW\iup -o "bin-debug\EVE Editor.exe" obj-debug\main.o -lgdi32 -luser32 -lkernel32 -lcomctl32 -lole32 -lfreetype6 -liup -liup_mglplot -liup_plot -liup_scintilla -liupcd -liupcontrols -liupgl -liupglcontrols -liupim -liupimglib -liupmatrixex -liupole -liuptuio -lz
C:\MinGW\iup/libiup.a(iupwin_font.o):iupwin_font.c:(.text+0x1db): undefined reference to `__imp_CreateFontW'
C:\MinGW\iup/libiup.a(iupwin_font.o):iupwin_font.c:(.text+0x224): undefined reference to `__imp_SelectObject'
C:\MinGW\iup/libiup.a(iupwin_font.o):iupwin_font.c:(.text+0x240): undefined reference to `__imp_GetTextMetricsW'
C:\MinGW\iup/libiup.a(iupwin_font.o):iupwin_font.c:(.text+0x684): undefined reference to `__imp_SelectObject'
C:\MinGW\iup/libiup.a(iupwin_font.o):iupwin_font.c:(.text+0x734): undefined reference to `__imp_GetTextExtentPoint32W'
And so on and so forth. Here the IUP documentation says "For Windows, if you statically link the application with IUP you must link also with the libraries ole32.lib and comctl32.lib (provided with the compilers)." So I obtained the Windows SDK from here and recompiled with ole32 and comctl32. I got the same errors. I also looked at the Code::Blocks guide on the same page, but it's for dynamic linking.
I've never linked the Windows SDK before so I'm at a loss. Here is my Code::Blocks project:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
<CodeBlocks_project_file>
<FileVersion major="1" minor="6" />
<Project>
<Option title="EVE Editor" />
<Option pch_mode="2" />
<Option compiler="gcc" />

</Compiler>

<Add option="-s" />
</Linker>
</Target>
</Build>
<Compiler>
<Add option="-Wall" />
<Add directory="C:/MinGW/iup/include" />
</Compiler>
<ResourceCompiler>
<Add directory="C:/MinGW/iup/etc" />
</ResourceCompiler>
<Linker>
<Add library="gdi32" />
<Add library="user32" />
<Add library="kernel32" />
<Add library="comctl32" />
<Add library="ole32" />
<Add library="libfreetype6.a" />
<Add library="libiup.a" />
<Add library="libiup_mglplot.a" />
<Add library="libiup_plot.a" />
<Add library="libiup_scintilla.a" />
<Add library="libiupcd.a" />
<Add library="libiupcontrols.a" />
<Add library="libiupgl.a" />
<Add library="libiupglcontrols.a" />
<Add library="libiupim.a" />
<Add library="libiupimglib.a" />
<Add library="libiupmatrixex.a" />
<Add library="libiupole.a" />
<Add library="libiuptuio.a" />
<Add library="libz.a" />
<Add directory="C:/MinGW/iup" />
</Linker>
<Unit filename="main.c">
<Option compilerVar="CC" />
</Unit>
<Extensions>
<code_completion />
<envvars />
<debugger />
<lib_finder disable_auto="1" />
</Extensions>
</Project>
</CodeBlocks_project_file>
Try changing the order the linking is done. The dependency order must be reversed, I mean least dependent libraries last. For instance:
<Add library="libiupcontrols.a" /> -- optional
<Add library="libiupcd.a" /> -- optional
<Add library="libcd.a" /> -- optional
<Add library="libfreetype6.a" /> -- optional
<Add library="libz.a" /> -- optional
<Add library="libiup.a" />
<Add library="gdi32" />
<Add library="user32" />
<Add library="kernel32" />
<Add library="comctl32" />
<Add library="ole32" />
And you don't need to include all the IUP libraries, just the ones you actually use.

ASP.net WebAPI ignoring web.config?

I am setting up a web.config in wwwroot to redirect all requests to index.html for angularjs to handle. This excludes existing files and folders and anything from /api.
The problem is, it's not working that way. I simply get blank pages for anything where a file does not exist.
Here is my web.config:
<configuration>
<system.webServer>
<modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true" />
<handlers>
<add name="httpPlatformHandler" path="*" verb="*" modules="httpPlatformHandler" resourceType="Unspecified"/>
</handlers>
<httpPlatform processPath="%DNX_PATH%" arguments="%DNX_ARGS%" stdoutLogEnabled="false" startupTimeLimit="3600"/>
<rewrite>
<rules>
<rule name="IndexHomeRule" stopProcessing="true">
<match url=".*" />
<conditions logicalGrouping="MatchAll">
<add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsFile" negate="true"/>
<add input="{REQUEST_URI}" matchType="Pattern" pattern="^/api/" negate="true" />
</conditions>
<action type="Rewrite" url="/index.html" />
</rule>
</rules>
</rewrite>
</system.webServer>
</configuration>
I can't figure out any reason for it to still be trying to load the files instead of redirecting them to index.html
I am using .NET Core RC2 and I have static files and default files set to be used. I am using VS2015. I set the project up as a WebAPI from the beginning. Not empty.
You can use Microsoft.AspNetCore.SpaServices:
app.UseMvc(options =>
{
options.MapRoute("Api",
template: "api/{controller}/{action?}/{*path}",
defaults: new { controller = "Home" });
options.MapSpaFallbackRoute("spa-fallback", new { controller = "Home", action = "Index" });
});

DNN 7 installation - SQL Server Express invalid database account

I was trying to install DNN 7 via web platform installer (5.0) but an error came up on install - the specified password for the user account sa is not valid, or failed to connect to the database server.
I have SQL Server 2014 but not Express. I don't have a database set up called sa or a database server called .\SQLExpress.
what would I need to do to satisfy DNN's request for password for sa account ?

**edit - code added to web.config on DNN but still asking me for SQL Express - sa account and .SQL\Express account.
<connectionStrings>
<add name="SiteSqlServer"
connectionString="Data Source=ANDREWSSD\MSSQLSERVER_EXPR;Initial Catalog=DotNetNuke;User ID=aindriu;Password=;" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
</connectionStrings>
<appSettings>
<add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Data Source=ANDREWSSD\MSSQLSERVER_EXPR;Initial Catalog=DotNetNuke;User ID=aindriu;Password=;" />
Open c:\websites\dotnetnuke7\web.config in Notepad and update connection strings in two places. Replace the entire “connectionStrings” section with this fragment (change to your password):
<connectionStrings>
<add name="SiteSqlServer"
connectionString="Data Source=ServerName;Initial Catalog=DatabaseName;User ID=ServerUserID;Password=DBPassword" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
</connectionStrings>
and put the same connection string into “appSettings” section:
<appSettings>
<add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Data Source=ServerName;Initial Catalog=DatabaseName;User ID=ServerUserID;Password=DBPassword" />
...
...
</appSettings>
Make sure you have to change ServerName, DatabaseName, UserverUserID and DBPassword with your original database details.

AngularJS Allow-Origin to WebApi2

I want to host my API on a separate domain. I have configured my auth-interceptor for token in angular with a bearer:
config.headers.Authorization = 'Bearer ' + sessionStorage.getItem('token');
In my My WebApi2 I have configured the WebApiConfig with cors.
var cors = new EnableCorsAttribute("http://mydomain.com", "*", "*");
config.EnableCors(cors);
And in web.config of the API I also included:
<customHeaders>
<add name="Access-Control-Allow-Origin" value="*" />
</customHeaders>
I still can´t access the api due to origin not allowed. Can I add something more in my header of the auth-interceptor in angular or what do I need to do?
In web.config of API, include the below mentioned code:
<system.webServer>
<httpProtocol>
<customHeaders>
<remove name="X-Powered-By" />
<add name="Access-Control-Allow-Headers" value="Origin, X-Requested-With, Content-Type, Accept" />
</customHeaders>
</httpProtocol>
<handlers>
<remove name="ExtensionlessUrlHandler-ISAPI-4.0_32bit" />
<remove name="ExtensionlessUrlHandler-ISAPI-4.0_64bit" />
<remove name="ExtensionlessUrlHandler-Integrated-4.0" />
<remove name="WebDAV" />
<add name="ExtensionlessUrlHandler-ISAPI-4.0_32bit" path="*." verb="GET,HEAD,POST,DEBUG,PUT,DELETE,PATCH,OPTIONS" modules="IsapiModule" scriptProcessor="%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\aspnet_isapi.dll" preCondition="classicMode,runtimeVersionv4.0,bitness32" responseBufferLimit="0" />
<add name="ExtensionlessUrlHandler-ISAPI-4.0_64bit" path="*." verb="GET,HEAD,POST,DEBUG,PUT,DELETE,PATCH,OPTIONS" modules="IsapiModule" scriptProcessor="%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_isapi.dll" preCondition="classicMode,runtimeVersionv4.0,bitness64" responseBufferLimit="0" />
<add name="ExtensionlessUrlHandler-Integrated-4.0" path="*." verb="GET,HEAD,POST,DEBUG,PUT,DELETE,PATCH,OPTIONS" type="System.Web.Handlers.TransferRequestHandler" preCondition="integratedMode,runtimeVersionv4.0" />
</handlers>
</system.webServer>
I hope this helps.
Thanks.
your Angular.js interceptor settings are ok.
I've got a public project with your same scenario, with OAuth+Owin authentication. The steps I followed are:
Installation of Microsoft.Owin.Cors library
Creation of custom section config to enable/config CORS
Creation of custom CORS Policy class (with the origins to enable)
Setup of CORS policy depending on configurations
Hope this helps
I've had the same issue before and what worked for me was to remove the settings from the web.config and just leave the configuration settings in the WebApiConfig class
See this answer for more details
