I heard LDAP is a learning curve. If I wanted to go with a LDAP Directory solution because I want to use the LDAP protocol, and I already know Active Directory, wouldn't that be quite easy to setup?
Active Directory uses the LDAP protocol, so it isn't as different as you may think.

What are the differences between LDAP and Active Directory?

Do all app pools get set up with this user?
Do all databases on the sql server get read/write permissions for this user?

I am now struggling to find a best database for the following purpose:
1. Store the online data every 0.1 second!
2. Easy to access the data in the database
3. Compatible for windows system
4. No need to be OpenSource Solution
Any suggestions?
Well there is alot of nosql db systems, most simplest for me are redis and mongodb.
I use redis for highload apps, and mongodb for easier access to data (if you came from sql world). Both have windows versions, both open sourced.

I am new to Salesforce. I need to create a Login screen where users will first register with the system and then use these credentials to login to the system.
All these information should be saved on to a DB. I need to know how can i do this ? A tutorial/video tutorial or steps would help me start with this. Help ?
If you're talking about for your regular users then no, this isn't possible. If you're talking about customers then I believe what you're looking for (from the scant details provided) is customer portal.
Be aware though, that there are licence fees involved with this and writing your own user authentication system is against the terms of service.

I am just getting started with log4c. However, there is very little documentation out there for how to get started with it.
I am wondering does anyone know of any tutorials, articles on how to get started?
If you unpack the tar ball from the project page at http://log4c.sourceforge.net/ there is a doc directory containing examples etc.
Also there is the developer's guide at http://www.slideshare.net/gzm55/log4-c-developers-guide-presentation.
Since log4c and log4net are both ports of log4j, may be you can use log4j/log4net documentation. Since it is a port, the configuration and API should be the same
log4net documentation:
