For a internal demonstration of powerPivot/silverlight 5/asp.net MVC 3/... I need to find a database with a large set of data, including images.
I'm searching a database with a lot of movies, including their cover.
I saw that IMDB gives an access to its file, but not images.
Do you know an open enough provider for this kind of data?
Thank you!
For this specific kind of data, try:
http://www.themoviedb.org/
http://www.thetvdb.com/
I have not used this, but maybe you can use it for your demo:
http://api.themoviedb.org/2.1

Is there any ways to create a zip archive with apex class?
I have been researching but seems like there is no way with apex class.
So far what i find is this one which is client side options.

No, you can't create zip files directly from apex code.
I've created an app that will allow you to compress files in Salesforce:

You can install it from the AppExchange.

It's MR20 I think.
You will find all necessary files under http://mediaroomsds.microsoft.com. You need a working Microsoft account however.

We have analytics coming from several different services and need a place to combine all the data in a single display. Does anyone have experience with other services besides leftronic.com?
There are tons of options. Try InfoCaptor, it is free https://my.infocaptor.com
huge visualization library and connects to social analytics as well as databases
PS: I am the developer
We've used Leftronic and were quite satisfied with the product, but have since moved onto Geckoboard because the UI is much more elegant. You might also want to checkout Boarrd.

I was wondering what is a good tool to use to index documents (pdf, xml, web documents) etc.
I want to be able to index them, parse them and return results appropriately.
I tried solr/lucene but i must be missing something because I did not find it useful enough.
Solr is what you want.... ElasticSearch is an option.

I would like to know if there are good tutorials for Microsoft Sharepoint. Specifically solutions that involves routing documents for approval. Use of Microsoft Infopath for form making and Microsoft SQL Server for the database is needed. What I meant by good is that the quality that they possess is similar to the video tutorials of asp.net learn section. Any help in this matter will be great. Thanks in advance.
this is a great video on the workflow part of your question. He has other video's on InfoPath, etc but I haven't had time to watch them yet.
