I'm trying to upload a .csv file but there is no option to load or may be I'm not finding it. I watched many tutorials but the UI that they had is different to mine and I'm not able to change to the other UI like others that has load options.
this above picture is the UI that I have, and am not able to shift to another one as the classic UI button is missing. Am I missing anything here or the load option is missing temporarily?
The Load option is currently disabled and currently we are working on adding this feature to the Snowsight.
Also the classic Web UI is disabled for all new trial accounts.
However there is a workaround as of now.
Can you add ?disableDirectLogin=true to the URL you are currently using and let me know the results.
e.g. https://xxxxxx.snowflakecomputing.com/console/login?disableDirectLogin=true
This will get you the classic Web UI and you can use the load button in thus UI.
Hope this helps.

I am currently working on the setup page for my custom MS Teams Connector.
For inspiration, I was looking into other companies and one particular thing caught my attention.
Teams usually has at the bottom 2 buttons, like here in my setup page:
I have no Problem communicating with them using the #microsoft/teams-js client SKD and could make my page work like it is now. But I got curious how to do it with custom buttons like other Companies.
For example Trello:
Like you can see they moved the buttons up and also have a login button.
I also need to add authentication form my Connector, so I was wondering if its possible to archive a similar layout for my Connector.
For the Setup page I am using web app created with create react app
So my questions are:
Is this possible using react?
If yes how is it done?
I could not find much documentation regarding this topic.
The behavior is by design. Quite a while back we started giving developers more control in the tab configuration flow and allow them to render their own button within the iframe. Everything within that task module is now controlled by the app.
I am working on adding a small one-page AngularJS application to my friend's Wordpress site. The application will take some user input and generate on-screen output using that input. It will also log the user input for analysis purposes.
I will need to be able to host the files for that page on my friend's site as well as create a back-end script that can capture the user input and store it to a MySQL database.
I have worked with WordPress sites before but have never customized them or written a plugin. How would you go about making this happen?
I will select the answer that leads me down the most efficient / effective path. Thanks!
After poking around for a while, I ran across the Advanced Custom Fields plugin. Using this helped me add custom JavaScript to the specific page that needed Angular support.
Here is information on how to use ACF to add JavaScript support:
https://www.godaddy.com/garage/3-ways-to-insert-javascript-into-wordpress-pages-or-posts/
Here is the plugin itself:

I could not think of a better title, Please suggest one.
I am planning to work on a large web application. It will take time to load the full application before application starts functioning.
Suppose its something like asana.com. If you have a link to the task and you open the link. It loads the application first and then shows the detail of the task.
Note: I have added another example in update 2
I want to do just the opposite. Suppose if I try to open the link directly. It should show me the tasks details first and then load the whole application in background.
What development strategy should I follow to implement such feature. Will angular be good for this? I have worked with angular for small projects and am capable of think in angular :)
I just wanted to be pointed in right direction.
Update 1:
I am using Apache2 PHP5 in backing as ReST API. I am thinking to change to GoLang http server. But that does not matter in this context :)
Update 2:
I have not yet started working on the application, but I know that its size is going to be big and its going to take time to load the application. This will be a javascript application, all the communication to web will be done mostly by API. APIs will be fast and it wont be slowing down the application. My main concern is the javascript library and the approach to the issue that I want to display the content of the page before the application is loaded and load the application in background.
As second example: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/a-journey-through-middle/gjgkjeheegjnnmheaflhdocglkiegoni?utm_source=chrome-ntp-icon
If you open this link in chrome, it will load the application and then load the specific content in a popup. I want to load the content of the popup first and then load the application in background. How should I write my application to achieve that.
My suggestion (and I say this as I start to do similar vs. having proven it successful) would be to make some level of framework fairly static so that users get an almost instant response to the site loaded and then start the angular app with something like this
angular.bootstrap(document.getElementById("container"), ["app"])
Ref for the api - https://docs.angularjs.org/api/ng/function/angular.bootstrap
Ref for a demonstration of this - https://egghead.io/lessons/angularjs-angular-bootstrap-app-init
My expectation then is that you will be able to
Load your static elements quickly (which will just have placeholders for your content/material)
Access the data you want in the order you want to get it to present on the screen
Release any other part of the app you need to chrome it up/decorate or populate side items.
I am writing a simple salesforce app that requires app-level and user-level configuration. I have created custom objects for these settings, but cannot figure out how to add links to the Setup page (Personal Setup and Customize) so that the settings can be managed.
Quite a lot of research, and a question on a salesforce board, have left me none the wiser. I have seen a couple of scripts on the web that hack the setup sidebar with javascript (eg http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/95361) ... but this can't be the right way to do it surely?
Thanks
Jim
You are unable to do this without hacking because Salesforce want it so that you don't require over-explicit setup of any app you create - they want you to make it data-independent and in fact it may fail a security review if it is data dependent. It will also likely cause you headaches in correctly unit testing the app.
My suggestion would be to have a set of custom pages which are linked to on the home page for a user which display if they have no current values (so the first thing they see on the home page when they login for the first time is a "Hey, before you use this app you need to do some configuration through this handy wizard" and then block access to other areas of the app (i.e. display warning messages on other pages) if the app has not had this data setup.
That way you are not hacking and are providing a nice user experience around the extra setup.

DO you just want to add a new TAB on the top menu that links to the Edit page for your new sObject?
If so:
Goto setup https://cs3.salesforce.com/ui/setup/Setup
Click on 'Create' > 'Tab'
Pick the sObject you want the tab edit, the click next until you save the new tab.
There is no supported way to augment the Setup menu.
You should probably be using Custom Settings for what you are describing - they were designed for app-level and user-level configuration, and are available from Setup.
Otherwise, if it really is custom setup that requires fancier logic / UI / etc, you may want to do what many SFDC ISV's do and ship your app with its own configuration tab that's hidden, and/or custom VF page that manages app settings.
I am looking for some initial direction on this one because I cannot seem to find my way with it. Let me explain...
I am developing a website wherein a logged in site member (Joomla 1.6) can fill out a simple form and attach a pdf to be uploaded upon submission. The user then clicks the submit button and the page will refresh to a new and unique web page.
User Submits data on http://www.examplesite.com and then after submission a new web page is generated that is called http://www.examplesite.com/userSubmittedValue
This newly generated web page would come from a template that is specified by the administrator and, most important, it will display all of the information that the user submitted. Also, there would be a link to download the pdf they uploaded. The user could then view a list of all the pages they have created in this manner via their profile.
I have seen this all over, but I am at a loss for how to generate this. Any help is much appreciated.
This is not something you will be able to easily do or get a detailed answer for here. If you just wanted to do the submission form with a thank you page that shows the data submitted you could use any number of form wizard type extensions - http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/contacts-and-feedback/forms
If you just needed a way for users to upload PDfs and have access to them you could use one of the file management extensions that offer front end upload features - http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/directory-a-documentation/downloads
If the additional data that is being submitted is simply data related to the file - title, description, etc then one of the file download components should work fine for you. The choices are limited in 1.6 at this time though so you might have to go with 1.5 to get the extension that works best for your needs.
So this probably isn't the best way to do it if your using Joomla but it just might help.
I would use PHP and inside of you're directory have a file like "template.html". Then I would create some php to handle the task of....
Opening "template.html"
Finding and replacing the values that the user passed you
Save the "template.html" under a new name (userSubmittedValue.html)
Again, I never really use Joomla. If you were to try this I'd suggest checking out php's file system functions (http://us2.php.net/manual/en/ref.filesystem.php).
Hope this helps a bit.
