I want to display a legend slider besides the map to show the color of the custom raster layer, of the hovered territory. Therefore, I need to get the layer pixel color where the cursor is.
I have found a solution to get the color of a pixel on the map How to get the color of pixels on mapbox, however, if we hover roads or names, another color gets read.
Is there a way to read the layer color on a specific map point?
Are the roads and place labels baked into the raster, or overlaid as vector data sourced layers?
I'm not sure of another method besides querying the canvas, in which case one option would be to hide the vector layers, query, then reshow. But that may not result in the interaction you want?

I’m using the mailmerge feature of Gembox.Document to produce reports.
I’m having issues with the sizing of a picture.
I have created a merge field inside a table cell, and I would like the picture to occupy the maximum of the cell size without changing it’s aspect ratio.
For now it’s inserting the picture, but the ratio is all messed up.
I’ve read in the help page that I could put a shape my merge field but after many attempts I don’t know how to do it, when I try to draw the shape in my word template, it doesn’t go inside my merge field.
Can anybody help me with this ? Either to fix the aspect ratio, or how to use the shape…

Take a look at the second Merge Pictures example, its input "MergePicturesWithTemplates.docx" file has MergeFields with Shapes inside.
To place a Shape inside a MergeField, draw the shape, set it as "In Line with Text", and drag it inside the field.
Now that you have a shape as a placeholder for your image, you can add switches to MergeField in order to keep the aspect ratio of the merged picture:
\x - resize resulting picture horizontally, keep the template shape's height.
\y - resize resulting picture vertically, keep the template shape's width.
\x \y - resize resulting picture either horizontally or vertically.
To add a switch, press ALT + F9 in MS Word, that will reveal field's code and then write the switch within.
I want to draw a map in WPF without using any third party controls.
I need each and every state of all the countries, and based on certain conditions I want to color them.
How can I get the polygon shapes of each state of all the countries?
Here is an SVG file with all the states as separate polygons (look at the source!)
You can convert it to xaml if you want and fill the state differently.

In a Silverlight application I have large images which have flow charts on them.
I need to handle the clicks on specific hotspots of the image where the flow chart boxes are.
Since the flow charts will always be different, the information of where the hotspots has to be dynamic, e.g. in a list of coordinates.
I've found article like this one but don't need the detail of e.g. the outline of countries but just simple rectangle and circle areas.
I've also found articles where they talk about overlaying an HTML image map over the silverlight application, but it has to be easier than this.
What is the best way to handle clicks on specific areas of an image in silverlight?
Place the Image and a Canvas in a Grid so that the Canvas overlays the Image.
Add shapes of appropriate sizes and placed as needed to the canvas. All shapes will a transparent fill and no border, hence the user only sees the Image. On the Canvas MouseDown (or Up events) use OriginalSource to determine which shape generated the click. Use the Tag property of each shape to associate it with some object that represents the flowchart element being mapped.

In the silverlight toolkit chart control, the legend on the X Axis can show an indeterminate amount of points. E.g. 1,2,3,4,5.
Would it be possible to colour the virtual columns that this creates? I.e. in the space where legend mark 2 is shown, the space above to the top of the control is shaded to a different colour. This will make it interesting as as the chart scales, the legends on the X Axis change with the size available.
This is mainly for a series of type ScatterSeries for my specific example but could extend to a series of LineSeries.

It's not really possible due to the fact that there are no virtual columns created.
The chart is a canvas and the scatter point is just a point positioned on it. Your best bet would be to create your own ColumnSeries type and then style it to look like a ScatterSeries with your desired background colour.
We are using the Mindfusion WPF Diagramming Component. I require a Visualbrush which must be able to be used in a third-party component for diagramming.
We have horizontally-stretching lanes on the diagramming canvas. We must define a background color for this lane, and some text on the top-left corner, to be repeated on the x-axis. The text must remain the same size while the rest of the lane is filled with color when the lane is re-sized.
Unfortunately, the only thing we can do is provide a Visualbrush to the diagramming component, which is then set as background for the lane. It seems impossible to work with this restriction because I am unable to define a text with fixed size, repeating on the x-axis, while also having a color brush stretching, all within a single Visualbrush. How can this be done?
