Building workspace vs uploading cartridges in eclipse in code deployment over sandbox

I am deploying a code over sandbox from eclipse, I'm new to salesforce development.
what is the diff between building workspace and uploading cartridges in eclipse.
I appreciate all the help that i can get, thanks in advance
There are no "cartidges" in Salesforce documentation. Are you sure you're developing salesforce code? Maybe you're working on some Java integration? Or maybe you mean packages? zip files with package.xml and source code?
And Eclipse development model is outdated now, all the cool kids moved on to sfdx + visual studio code. What you're doing still works (it uses "metadata api") but you're consciously using old tools, depriving yourself from newer, faster toys. You can read more about metadata api style of deployments in https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.api_meta.meta/api_meta/meta_intro.htm
Now... If you ask about "why do I bother with doing deployments if in sandbox I can just edit the class/trigger directly and save"... well - you can't in production. You can't just go and edit code straight on production, even in the setup the button simply isn't there. It has to be a deployable package, it has to run unit tests during deploy (they need to pass, the code coverage has to be at least 75%). So you make a package when you're really ready to go to prod

Robot Framework IDE Automate WPF

I'm trying to automate an application I developed in C# (WPF) using Robot Framework.
I already explored a bunch of alternatives:
White Library
https://github.com/Omenia/robotframework-whitelibrary
https://github.com/TestStack/White
Doesn't seem to be working.
AutoItLibrary:
https://pypi.org/project/robotframework-autoitlibrary/
https://github.com/HW71/AutoItLibrary
https://github.com/qitaos/robotframework-autoitlibrary
Doesn't work for WPF C# applications - Doesn't detect components
Sikuli
https://github.com/rainmanwy/robotframework-SikuliLibrary
http://rainmanwy.github.io/robotframework-SikuliLibrary/
Image detection doesn't work very well in WPF C# applications.
Has anyone been able to automate WPF C# applications using Robot Framework IDE?
Regards
We just released first stable version of WhiteLibrary. It should do the job.
https://github.com/Omenia/robotframework-whitelibrary
pip install --upgrade robotframework-whitelibrary
Unfortunately, WhiteLibrary is build on the White automation framework which has been deprecated since December 11, 2019. While WhiteLibrary itself is not officially deprecated, the last release is also from 2019.
There appears to be a newer framework called FlaUI, which is wrapped by RobotFramework-FlaUI. This project is still under active development currently and likely a more future-proof choice than WhiteLibrary.

MvvmCross Network Plugin WPF

I am working on an mvvmcross solution. I am making a wpf project as well to speed up the core development. Today I ran into an issue running a wpf project using a core that has the network plugin. When the setup.Initialize() is called I end up with the exception "Could not load file or assembly 'Cirrious.MvvmCross.Plugins.Network.Wpf' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.". I did include the network plugin from NuGet to my wpf project as well. Anyone know what might be the issue here?
Thank you!
i only added the wpf version of that plugin 5 days ago - https://github.com/slodge/MvvmCross/commits/TibetBinding/Plugins/Cirrious/Network/Cirrious.MvvmCross.Plugins.Network.Wpf
It hasn't yet made it to nuget - when it will depends on my work schedule and my hotel wifi - 'soon' is all I can say.
You can build it for yourself if you need it urgently - on the tibetbinding branch (see link above)

Winforms Application Setup Creation in VS2010

I know that this is a very stupid question, but I have not been able to find a definitive Guide to creating a basic Installer for my windows forms application. I know we have to use Setup and Deployment Projects in VS2010 but have not been able to find any step by step guide for it.
If possible please guide me regarding the same.
Thanks
Many Winforms projects don't require an installer. Just copy the files in the Release folder, formally named "XCopy deployment". The walkthrough for a Setup and Deployment project is here.
I'm currently learning how to do setup projects as well.. I found a couple of sites that helped me to get off the ground and have a basic installer. I know the first link is from way back in 2005, but it still helped.

converting vb dnn module to c#, how?

i recently started working on DNN, i configured DNN at my machine with starter kit and other things
require. I received a vb module from my client to work up on.
It's simple VB module, not dynamic module. I imported the module and i started working on it,
but i am more of c# coder, so i feel a bit uncomfortable working with this.
Could some body tell me how can i convert his module to c#, of is there any way that further coding i
do in c#, i mean all my user control further i want to make in c# on that module.
Please guide me on it, or provide me some resources.
There are several tools out there for converting VB to C# - http://www.bing.com/search?setmkt=en-GB&q=convert+VB+to+c%23
However, if you want to work in C# and if it is a simple module, then you might be better off:
install the DNN starter kit
run the "new C# module" wizard
using your VB module as a reference, recreate the functionality in the C# module
enjoy coding forwards
For tutorials about working with DNN, there are lots of tutorials out there - and I particularly recommend Michael Washington's materials which he generally provides in both C# and VB - http://www.adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/
