I am new to AWS DMS and trying to understand some detail however unable to find answers so any help on this is highly appreciated.
Q1 - If you have distributed database at your corporate data center ( on prem) , Do you need to create DMS for each of distributed database? if so does it sync all when it does CDC

Q1) Assuming you use a single URL to connect to the database, you should only need that single set of connection information to replicate the databases.
Q2) If you are just doing a full load and no on going replication, then yes, this is possible. If you are talking about ongoing replication, it depends on the database but it usually requires additional logging to be enabled. For example, Oracle requires the addition of supplemental logging, and MySQL requires row-level binary logging (bin logging). Many times standby databases don't have those enabled but, assuming they are enabled on your instance, it should be possible.

Q2) Yes for full load migration. If you need an ongoing replication you've to enable the LogMiner or Binlogs in your data source before.

There is one postgres database in rds. We need to sync it to another postgres database in rds.

Is this a recurring task or a one time task? If it's a one time thing, you can do a dump/backup and restore it to a new instance. If this is a recurring thing, then...
Why do you want to replicate the data? What is your actual goal? If it's for scaling, you should likely use the native RDS functionality for that. If it's for testing, then you will likely want to sanitize data as part of the copy.
As smac2020 said in their answer, AWS provides a migration service you can use for several use cases, but if this is a one-time thing, that is likely overkill. Just do a backup and restore that to another server.
You can also leverage change-data-capture to replicate data out, but that will likely take a lot to get working well and will only be worth it in certain circumstances. We leverage CDC to copy data to our warehouse, for example. Here is an example that streams data to Kinesis. Here is another example that streams to Kinesis using the migration service.
I have a database on an SQL Server instance hosted on Azure Windows VM. There are two things I need to achieve.
Create a real-time duplicate of the database on another server. i.e. I need my database to make a copy of itself and then copy all of it's data to the duplicate at regular intervals. Let's say, 2 hours.
If my original database fails due to some reason, I need it to redirect all read/write requests to the duplicate database.

You can have a high availability solution for your SQL Server databases in Azure using AlwaysOn Availability Groups or database mirroring.
Basically, you need 3 nodes for true HA. The third one can be a simple file server that will work as the witness to complete the quorum for your failover cluster. Primary and Secondary will be synchronized and in case of a failure, secondary will take over. You can also configure read requests to be split among instances.
If HA is not really that important for your use case, disaster recovery will be a cheaper solution. Check the article below for more info.

Backups are exactly that: backups. They enable you to recover the data if something bad happens.
Replication is another beast entirely. It basically distributes the data across multiple nodes so that each node has a complete, (close to) up-to-date copy of the data.
There are a number of reasons why you would use replication including, but not limited to:
High availability so that, if one node goes down, other nodes can still service requests.
Geographical distribution, meaning your data can be placed close to those that need it. Clients in Belarus don't need to go all the way to Montana to get the data if you maintain a local replica in Belarus (or somewhere close) - this is for performance. You may have 10,000 clients in Belarus - it's quicker to send one copy over than have all 10,000 request data [although this depends on how often they request data].
Prioritization. If your reporting users (bank management) have a lower service level agreement than your customer-facing staff (bank tellers) [and they should], you can put all the management onto a replica so as not to slow down the primary copy.
Replication is used for a different purpose, for example to make reports without putting that load on the 'real' database.
Replication increases system availability. If one set of database is down, you can serve out of replica.
Backup saves you from catastrophic errors such as human error that dropped the production database. Note that in this case, replication won't save you as it will dutifully replicate drop command.

I have reached the point where I've decided to replace my custom-built replication system with a system that has been built by someone else, mainly for reliability purposes. Can anyone recommend any replication system that is worth it? Is FiBRE any good?
What I need might be a little away from a generic system, though. I have five departments with each having it's own copy of the database, and the master in a remote location. The departments all have sporadic internet connection, the master is always online. The data has to flow back and forth from the master, meaning that all departments need to be equal to the master (when internet connection is available), and to upload changes made during network outage that are later distributed to other departments by the master.
I have used CopyCat to create a replication project. It allows you create your own replication client/server configuration using CodeGear Delphi. This allows you complete flexibilty as to how you want your replication to work.
If you don't use Delphi, or need a prefabricated solution, CopyTiger does the same thing already configured.
I find IBReplicator by IBPhoenix to be the most complete, but there are many more listed here (with short descriptions):

Say you have 2 database servers, one database is the 'master' database where all write operations are performed, it is treated as the 'real/original' database. The other server's database is to be a mirror copy of the master database (slave?), which will be used for read only operations for a certain part of the application.
How do you go about setting up a slave database that mirrors the data on the master database? From what I understand, the slave/readonly database is to use the master db's transaction log file to mirror the data correct?
What options do I have in terms of how often the slave db mirrors the data? (real time/every x minutes?).
What you want is called Transactional Replication in SQL Server 2005. It will replicate changes in near real time as the publisher (i.e. "master") database is updated.
Here is a pretty good walk through of how to set it up.
SQL Server 2008 has three different modes of replication.
Transactional for one way read only replication
Merge for two way replication

This sounds like you're talking about log shipping instead of replication. For what you're planning on doing though I'd agree with Jeremy McCollum and say do transactional replication. If you're going to do log shipping when the database is restored every x minutes the database won't be available.

The answer to this will vary depending on the database server you are using to do this.

Transactional replication is real time.
If you do not have any updates to be done on your database , what you need is just retrieving of data say once a day : then use snapshot replication instead of transactional replication. In snapshot replication, changes will replicate when and as defined by the user say once in 24 hrs.
