ruby import json data - arrays

How can I use parsed data from the data.rb file in the main.rb file ?
I'm trying to count the number of times the year "2017" occurs, and how many times "2014" occurs.
I want to return both counts to the method count_years which is in main.rb. How is this properly done?
main.rb
def count_years
File.open('data.rb'))[:phone_data]
if :phone_data."Year" == 2017
year_2017.count #new variable year_2017
end
if :phone_data."Year" == 2014
year_2014.count #new variable year_2014
end
end
data.rb
let(:phone_data) {
JSON.parse('[
{
"Phone": "iPhone 6",
"Year": "2014"
},
{
"Phone": "iPhone 7",
"Year": "2016"
},
{
"Car": "iPhone 8",
"Year": "2017"
},
{
"Car": "Galaxy S8",
"Year": "2017"
}
]')
}
main.rb

The data.rb file is set up to be used by RSpec. Even in that context, it's a little awkward. I would move the JSON data to JSON file and then you can access it from both places. There are other options as well but I would need to know more about your application and how and where you're using this data.
data.json:
[
{
"Phone": "iPhone 6",
"Year": "2014"
},
{
"Phone": "iPhone 7",
"Year": "2016"
},
{
"Car": "iPhone 8",
"Year": "2017"
},
{
"Car": "Galaxy S8",
"Year": "2017"
}
]
data.rb:
require 'json'
let(:phone_data) {
JSON.parse(File.read('data.json'))
}
main.rb:
require 'json'
def count_years
JSON.parse(File.read('data.json'))
.group_by { |h| h['Year'] }
.map { |year, entries| [year, entries.size] }
.to_h
end
The method will return a hash where the keys are the years and the values are the counts:
count_years # => {"2014"=>1, "2016"=>1, "2017"=>2}

Calling parse function in swift fails

I am working on a food delivery app, which uses parse as its backend. I am facing a problem while calling the placeOrder API through
PFCloud.callFunction(inBackground: PlaceOrder, withParameters: params) { (data, err) in}
Please have a look at the JSON which I need to post below.

After all this is done I call the parse function like below.
PFCloud.callFunction(inBackground: PlaceOrder, withParameters: params) { (data, err) in
if err != nil {
print(err!)
} else {
print(data!)
}
}
But this gives me error after a few seconds saying
"Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=3840 "JSON text did not start with array or object and option to allow fragments not set." UserInfo={NSDebugDescription=JSON text did not start with array or object and option to allow fragments not set.}"
I have searched the web with the error and made fixes accordingly but still no success. Please help me guys.
I noticed that your params var is not compatible with the JSON you sent, there are more fields and also missing fields. Moreover, menuItems and submenuItem are an Array in your JSON and an Object in your code. It is probably making the cloud code function to fail and you are therefore not receiving back a valid JSON. Try the following and check if it works. In the case it works, just replace the values by your vars.
let params = [

How to update object fields inside nested array and dynamically set a field value based on some inputs

I have been working on a Mongo database for a while. The database has some visits that have this form:
[
{
"isPaid": false,
"_id": "5c12bc3dcea46f9d3658ca98",
"clientId": "5c117f2d1d6b9f9182182ae4",
"came_by": "Twitter Ad",
"reason": "Some reason",
"doctor_services": "Some service",
"doctor": "Dr. Michael",
"service": "Special service",
"payments": [
{
"date": "2018-12-13T21:23:05.424Z",
"_id": "5c12cdb9b236c59e75fe8190",
"sum": 345,
"currency": "$",
"note": "First Payment"
},
{
"date": "2018-12-13T21:23:07.954Z",
"_id": "5c12cdbbb236c59e75fe8191",
"sum": 100,
"currency": "$",
"note": "Second payment"
},
{
"date": "2018-12-13T21:23:16.767Z",
"_id": "5c12cdc4b236c59e75fe8192",
"sum": 5,
"currency": "$",
"note": "Third Payment"
}
],
"price": 500,
"createdAt": "2018-12-13T20:08:29.425Z",
"updatedAt": "2018-12-13T21:42:21.559Z",
}
]
I need to find some query to update some field of a single payment based on the _id of the visit and _id of the payment that is inside of nested array. Also when you update a payment's sum to some number so that the sum of all payments is greater than or equal to price the field isPaid is automatically updated to true.
I have tried some queries in mongoose to achieve the first part but none of them seem to work:
let paymentId = req.params.paymentId;
let updatedFields = req.body;
Visit.update(
{ "payments._id": paymentId },
{
$set: {
"visits.$": updatedFields
}
}
).exec((err, visit) => {
if (err) {
return res.status(500).send("Couldn't update payment");
}
return res.status(200).send("Updated payment");
});
As for the second part of the question I haven't really come up with anything so I would appreciate at least giving some direction on how to approach it.

How can I change the attribute in dataset of Fusionchart?

Hi I am implementing a chart in my Angularjs Application, You can see this plunker http://jsfiddle.net/fusioncharts/73xgmacm/ The thing which I want to achieve is to change the value attribute to profit. How can I do this ? I want to display profit not values.
Regards
After 2 days I finally find out the answer. The thing is You cannot change the Fusionchart attribute value but you can change the attribute of your API once you fetched. I used a loop after I fetched the API and replace the 'profit' attribute with value in this way I made the chart. Yes The thing which i had been ignoring was the use of 'variable' instead of scope. If you see this example you would understand Example Here. I am sharing my code May be it helps someone else too.
Give below is my json array which i called tps.json
[
{
"index": "1",
"variantoption": "fan-green",
"company": "sk fans",
"quantity": "650",
"profit": "78296",
"loss": "8457",
"year": "2016"
},
{
"index": "2",
"variantoption": "fan-white",
"company": "al ahmed fans",
"quantity": "450",
"profit": "78296",
"loss": "8457",
"year": "2016"
},
{
"index": "3",
"variantoption": "fan-purple",
"company": "asia fans",
"quantity": "350",
"profit": "78296",
"loss": "8457",
"year": "2016"
},
{
"index": "4",
"variantoption": "fan-yellow",
"company": "falcon fans",
"quantity": "250",
"profit": "78296",
"loss": "8457",
"year": "2016"
}
]
and here is my controller
$http.get('js/tps.json').success(function (data) {
var chartdata = data;
var arrLength = chartdata.length;
console.log(arrLength);
for (var i = 0; i < arrLength; i++) {
if (chartdata[i]['profit'] && chartdata[i]['index']) {
chartdata[i].value = chartdata[i].profit;
delete chartdata[i].profit;
chartdata[i].label = chartdata[i].index;
delete chartdata[i].index;
console.log(chartdata);
}
}
console.log(chartdata);
FusionCharts.ready(function () {
var tps = new FusionCharts({
type: 'column2d',
renderAt: 'chart-container',
width: '500',
height: '300',
dataFormat: 'json',
dataSource: {
"chart": {
"caption": "Monthly",
"xaxisname": "Month",
"yaxisname": "Revenue",
"numberprefix": "$",
"showvalues": "1",
"animation": "1"
},
"data" : chartdata
}
});
tps.render();
});
}
);

How to filter embedded array in mongo document with morphia

Given my Profile data looks like below, I want to find the profile for combination of userName and productId
and only return the profile with the respective contract for this product.
{
"firstName": "John",
"lastName": "Doe",
"userName": "john.doe#gmail.com",
"language": "NL",
"timeZone": "Europe/Amsterdam",
"contracts": [
{
"contractId": "DEMO1-CONTRACT",
"productId": "ticket-api",
"startDate": ISODate('2016-06-29T09:06:42.391Z'),
"roles": [
{
"name": "Manager",
"permissions": [
{
"activity": "ticket",
"permission": "createTicket"
},
{
"activity": "ticket",
"permission": "updateTicket"
},
{
"activity": "ticket",
"permission": "closeTicket"
}
]
}
]
},
{
"contractId": "DEMO2-CONTRACT",
"productId": "comment-api",
"startDate": ISODate('2016-06-29T10:27:45.899Z'),
"roles": [
{
"name": "Manager",
"permissions": [
{
"activity": "comment",
"permission": "createComment"
},
{
"activity": "comment",
"permission": "updateComment"
},
{
"activity": "comment",
"permission": "deleteComment"
}
]
}
]
}
]
}
I managed to find the solution how to do this from the command line. But I don't seem to find a way how to accomplish this with Morphia (latest version).
db.Profile.aggregate([
{ $match: {"userName": "john.doe#gmail.com"}},
{ $project: {
contracts: {$filter: {
input: '$contracts',
as: 'contract',
cond: {$eq: ['$$contract.productId', "ticket-api"]}
}}
}}
])
This is what I have so far. Any help is most appreciated
Query<Profile> matchQuery = getDatastore().createQuery(Profile.class).field(Profile._userName).equal(userName);
getDatastore()
.createAggregation(Profile.class)
.match(matchQuery)
.project(Projection.expression(??))
Note... meanwhile I found another solution which does not use an aggregation pipeline.
public Optional<Profile> findByUserNameAndContractQuery(String userName, String productId) {
DBObject contractQuery = BasicDBObjectBuilder.start(Contract._productId, productId).get();
Query<Profile> query =
getDatastore()
.createQuery(Profile.class)
.field(Profile._userName).equal(userName)
.filter(Profile._contracts + " elem", contractQuery)
.retrievedFields(true, Profile._contracts + ".$");
return Optional.ofNullable(query.get());
}
I finally found the best way (under assumption I only want to return max. 1 element from array) to filter embedded array.
db.Profile.aggregate([
{ $match: {"userName": "john.doe#gmail.com"}},
{ $unwind: "$contracts"},
{ $match: {"contracts.productId": "comment-api"}}
])
To match according to your first design you could try the projection settings with morphia aggregation pipeline.
Query<Profile> matchQuery = getDatastore().createQuery(Profile.class).field(Profile._userName).equal(userName);
getDatastore()
.createAggregation(Profile.class)
.match(matchQuery)
.project(Projection.expression("$filter", new BasicDBObject()
.append("input", "$contracts")
.append("as", "contract")
.append("cond", new BasicDBObject()
.append("$eq", Arrays.asList('$$contract.productId', "ticket-api")));
Also see the example written by the morphia crew around line 88 at https://github.com/mongodb/morphia/blob/master/morphia/src/test/java/org/mongodb/morphia/aggregation/AggregationTest.java.

Insert object in nested array mongodb nodejs

So I am trying to insert an object in parameters and have been unsuccessful. My mongodb structure looks like this:
[
{
"_id": "04",
"name": "test service 4",
"id": "04",
"version": "0.0.1",
"title": "testing",
"description": "test",
"protocol": "test",
"operations": [
{
"_id": "99",
"oName": "test op 52222222222",
"sid": "04",
"name": "test op 52222222222",
"oid": "99",
"parameters": {},
"description": "testing",
"returntype": "test"
},
{
"_id": "58",
"oName": "test op 52222222222",
"sid": "04",
"name": "test op 52222222222",
"oid": "58",
"parameters": {},
"description": "testing",
"returntype": "test"
}
]
}
]
I want to be able to add an object into parameters with basic details such as name, id, and type. I am not entirely sure how to tackle this as I have all other CRUD operations implemented up until the parameters part. How should I go about to complete this? I know mongodb has issues when trying to insert something into an array inside an array, so if anyone has any suggestions as to how I can complete this I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
One of the problems is I do not have access to the _id of the root object, but I do have the _id for the operation where I am inserting the parameter. Hence I was trying to insert the parameter using this code:
collection.update({"operations":{"$elemMatch": {"oid": oid}}}, {'$addToSet':{"operations.parameters": {name: "test"} }}, {safe:true}, function(err, result) {
if (err) {
res.send({'error':'An error has occurred'});
} else {
res.send(result[0]);
}
});
This does not work though.
I was able to complete the insert by using the following code:
collection.update({ "operations": {$elemMatch: {_id:oid}}}, {$addToSet: { "operations.$.parameters" : parameter}}, function(err, result) {
if (err) {
res.send({'error':'An error has occurred'});
} else {
res.send(result[0]);
}
});
Just in case anyone needed it.
This is because you need to use positional operator, The example I am copying from the link is almost the same as in your case:
db.students.update(
{ _id: 4, "grades.grade": 85 },
{ $set: { "grades.$.std" : 6 } }
)
