I updated my Xcode to Xcode 9 and working on swift 4, but my project get build again and again as I minorly change my code. Now I am quite new to swift so i don't know that this is due to swift or Xcode 9 and how to stop this, because it makes working process very slow. any help ?
I also faced such issue in my recent project. Try the following
1. Main StoryBoard - Editor - Disable "Automatic Refresh Views"
2. Go to Preferences -> General and disable Show Live Issues.
3. Comment any #IBDesignables used in your project
Had similar issue. Turning off "Parallelize Build" option in "Edit Scheme / Build / Build" helped.

I downloaded the newest version of Eclipse on an M1 Macbook Pro.
I downloaded the plugin from the Eclipse Marketplace. It's version 6.0
I made a new project, and when I get to the "finish" screen, I get this error:
Then, if I click finish again I get this error, which is the error that keeps showing up no matter how many times I click finish:
Some stuff ends up actually getting built in the project:
My professor doesn't know how to fix it, and there's nothing on Google. How can I make this work normally like it's supposed to? Thanks :)
The plugin is no longer supported for newer versions of Eclipse as we migrated to maven a while back.
You have two options
Use an old Intel version of Eclipse that predated the change to work with a legacy project.
Migrate the project to a Maven project which will work with all IDEs and doesn't use the plugin at all.

Error: Type 'AssetBundle' not found.
AssetBundle? bundle
I don't think the problem is related to your database. The error comes from flutter_svg. Did you add a proper asset route in the end of your pubspec?
Like this:
flutter:
uses-material-design: true
assets:
- assets/images/intro/
This problem is not related to your persistant database, it's an error coming from the flutter_svg package you have installed. According to the issue #610, all you have to do is update Flutter to at least 2.5.0, to do this, run the following command in your terminal:
flutter upgrade
This is a very difficult problem. Barely solved it. I found only one solution to it, no one showed anything sensible.
In the Terminal in Android Studio (Android Studio: View -> Tool Windows -> Terminal. Old: Go to Tools -> Open Terminal, or see at the bottom of the Android Studio path "Terminal") you need to write just upgrade --force
This removes all issues under clean and reinstalls Flutter. Better than this way to solve the problem - it is impossible.
Hello dear Eclipse developer,
I am already pretty desperate about figuring out the following problem, and maybe you can be part of the solution.
So heres the Context:
I want to develop an application for a Nucleo STM32F401RE Microprocessor Developmentboard.
To do so i need to set up the Eclipse Oxygen 3 IDE for my Windows XP x86 OS as descriped in this guide:
https://www.carminenoviello.com/2014/12/28/setting-gcceclipse-toolchain-stm32nucleo-part-1/
In short:
Install Eclipse Oxygen 3
Install C/C++ Development Tools
Install the GNU ARM plug-ins for Eclipse
Install the GCC ARM tool-chain
Install the Build Tools
Install the ST Link drivers for STM32Nucleo board
Every Step worked as expected and as descriped in the guide so far.
The next step is creating a test project, so I followed the project creation wizard for c/c++ projects in eclipse, which worked fine as well until i reached the very last step of the project creation wizard.
The last step wants me to select the path to the used Cross GNU ARM Toolchain which has already been installed in previous steps of the guide.
So i filled up the form fields, but the "Finish" and the "Next" Button stays greyed out! The "Back" Button is not working as well, so i literally cant do anything in this dialog field anymore, but cancel the project creating.
Someone went through this before and has an idea what the problem is and how to fix it?
Is it a bugg in eclipse?
Did i do something wrong ?
I've taken an Image to show what the problem is:
Thanks for your attention, dear developer. Good answers will make me a fan of yours.
UPDATE
Starting Eclipse with the errorlog console brought the following error when starting the project creation Wizard:
Managed Build system manifest file error: Duplicate identifier ilg.gnuarmeclipse.managedBuild.cross.toolchain.lib.release for element type ToolChain
This is the first time i get in touch with eclipse.
Can someone explain what this means and how to get rid of it?
I'm using Eclipse Photon and tried the installation through marketplace and manual installation of versions 4.4.1 and 4.3.3 but I'm still experiencing the same issue than you.
The solution was to uninstall Eclipse Photon and install Eclipse Oxygen 3a. Now the project creation works properly.
Regards.
I had the same experience for my first eclipse project. After checking the installation of plugins in the Eclipse IDE, I found there are two versions of GNU MCU C/C++ (...) installed. The problem solved by uninstalling one of them. Hopes that could help someone later. I spend the whole day to solve the problem! lol
Uninstalling GNU MCU does the trick and soled the issue.
Since I installed XCode 4.6, it keeps on downloading the Doc Set each and every time I open it. I've seen a lot of threads talking about this topic, so I tried to manually install the doc set in the Developper/Shared/Documenation/Docsets folder. But even with that, I opened XCode this morning and.... it started downloading the thing again. What can I do to make it stop ?
Click the link under Xcode->Preferences Click on Xcode 4.6 doc set you will see an installed location. click on that link and delete the file. In my case there was another Xcode 4.6 file I think it was called Xcode 4.6 Documentation set I deleted that as well.
I closed XCode and opened up again the told it to download it again and it took.
You should only have one Xcode 4.6 file in your list I had two and I don't know why. Might be something left over from the 4.6 beta.
Hope it help
Go to the "Xcode->Preferences->Downoloads" and unselect the check mark under "Check for and install updates automatically" in the "Documlentation" tab.
Downloading Fresh Doc
As the other answers suggest, Xcode is merely detecting, downloading, and installing new versions of the documentation available on the Apple servers.
Disable Auto-Download
As pablok said, if you don't like this behavior, disable the behavior by unchecking Xcode > Preferences > Downloads > Documentation > Check for and install updates automatically.
Fresh Doc Stored Outside App
One interesting twist is that the old versions are stored inside Xcode.app while the fresh downloaded versions are stored outside the app.
For example, in Xcode 4.6.3 on Mountain Lion obtained from the developer.apple.com iOS Dev Center, the Xcode 4.6 doc set is bundled with the Xcode app. That bundled doc set, according to the Finder, is:
Version: 509.12
Size: 268.4 MB
Location: …/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Documentation/DocSets
The newly downloaded doc set is:
Version: 511.5
Size: 286.8 MB
Location: ~/Library/Developer/Shared/Documentation/DocSets
So, two mysteries:
Why does Apple bundle doc inside the app but download new doc somewhere else?
After doing so, why does Apple leave the old doc in place? Why not delete it?
As an experiment, someday I will delete the original ones inside the app. I'm not suggesting any benefit (other than recovering storage space) nor am I saying there is no adverse effect.
This is the error message I get:
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: Google App Engine Tools for Android 3.1.0.v201208080121-rel-r42 (com.google.gdt.eclipse.mobile.android.feature.feature.group 3.1.0.v201208080121-rel-r42)
I've tried numerous things including manually downloading the file from here and also I snooped around StackOverflow and I tried just moving all the plugins from the manual download into the plugins folder of my Eclipse. That didn't help me though because my perspective did not update with the plugins and I couldn't find the "Create New Web Application" option. I've also read some things about the XML file being wrong but I can't find it and those were for other Eclipse versions so I don't know if it applies to me.
I also tried excluding Google App Engine Tools for Android 3.1.0 but then it just says the next one in the list can't be found.
I'll be more than happy to provide anymore information. I am running Eclipse Juno 4.2 and Java 1.7 (I also have 1.6 installed though). I am using a Windows 7 PC. Thank you guys so much! I just want to code :[
I did not work for me with this URL: http://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin/4.2
It worked with this one: http://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin/3.8
I just changed 4.2 to 3.8.
I faced a similar problem I was downloading with 120 kb/s every time the download breaks down
when I moved to another place and downloaded the plugin with highest speed 400 kb/s It successfully downloaded and no problems found
You might think that issue is out of logic but that what I reached so far
Hope that Helps
I know this is a very old question but recently I found a solution to my problem so I am going to personally update the answer. For some reason, Eclipse Classic 4.2.2 Juno does not come with some of the required packages. After talking to some people, they recommended simply downloading Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers which simply comes with most of the packages necessary. From there, it just worked!
My friend also mentioned you could try to manually download the packages on Eclipse Classic but that is far more of a hassle.
Hope this helps!
