unfortunately I have the issue that once you have a bootstap-select inside a DIV with overflow hidden, the options gets hidden as well.
I guess there has to be a fix out there to render / show the dropdown on the highest layer (document or body). Is someone aware of this issue?
Did you try this? (data-container="body")

I'm using react-big-calendar with react-sidebar and if the sidebar opens, all the area is covered by overlay but some elements are visible on the top.
What can be the problem?
P.S: I've also given the z-index to both but nothing worked for me!
react-big-calendar with react-sidebar
I don't know the particulars of react-sidebar, but it's definitely a z-index issue. Does react-sidebar provide a Portal option for it's overlay (I'm not seeing one)? RBC is dynamically writing out the events to the page, and using 'auto' z-index, so if your overlay is defined first (like the sidebar is on the left, and calendar on the right), then that's what's happening.
I am new to React. Basically, I have been given a HTML Bootstrap template. It is pretty simple... a left sidebar (always present), an adjacent menu (always present) and all other components fit adjacent to side bar and under menu. I have attached a pic so you can easily see what I mean.
I can display the components but my dynamic components or the components that change are rendered below the sidebar and NOT next to it.
I have tried to solve this issue for days... no luck. Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Vincent
It seems like a css issue, make sure you have your child divs inside the parent and nothing is position absolute. if you have it online I can take a look.
In bootstrap uib-collapse class animation behaviour hapeens only for vertical div.
But I need same animation/motion behaviour for table columns to show or hide upon click on icon.
For rightnow using ng-show and ng-hide but that doesnt seems animation behaviour not look good.
How can I achieve same behaviour for table colum wise NOT row
uib-collapse has a horizontal option and all you have to do is to add an additional attribute called 'horizontal' for the panel div as follows.
<div uib-collapse="isCollapsed" horizontal></div>
There is an issue recalling this problem and there is a workaround for it but as it's mentioned it's not recommended to use that.
Doing some further investigation, this appears to be a longstanding pre-existing issue with animating tr elements - my recommendation is to not do it. It seems that even when using vanilla Bootstrap JS, one has to hack around it too.
Here is a workaround that works - I am going to close this issue as not a fixable bug unfortunately. Thankfully, one can work around this, as my Plunker shows.
I got the very strange bug with angular-ui bootstrap tooltips. When its attribute tooltip-append-to-body set to true on some pages (not all of them) it doesn't work. Every time I hover the target element angular-ui appends the element to DOM (look at the screenshot), and don't delete it on "unhover".
I will be very appreciated for any thoughts about possible reasons.
I found the reason of such a strange behavior:
on those pages when the bug happens I have the 3rd-party SVG component, which is using foreignObject. This foreignObject hosts html with the body tag in it...
I can't figure out why this list is not displaying properly in IE7.

The background image is covered by the div below and the div in the bottom is not displayed.
Thanks in advance!
Change the z-index of div#aboutbutton to 2. So, it will not be hidden under the div#abouttop. It should solve the problem
