Please if you can check this code to find the error why it doesn't save when i click the Update button. I have a list with product i can add, modify and delete.
When i click Edit to modify it opens a new form with properties to be modified; but it doesn't save the modification.
How can i solve it?
Here's the code of the project: https://github.com/dkapexhiu/product-management
The code for this modification is at src/Products.js and ProductsRow.js.
Any help is welcomed.
ProductRow.js
editItem(evt){
evt.preventDefault();
this.props.editProduct(this.props.product.id, this.input.value);
this.toggleState();
}
Product.js
updateProduct(newValue){
this.setState({
currentProduct:newValue.target.value,
});
}
editProduct(product, newValue) {
var products = this.state.products;
var product = products[product.id];
product['name']= newValue;
this.setState({
products
})
}

I want to ask , how to keep save the id's of the check boxes in a state , and whenever i switched back to first page it automatically search the element with id and mark check boxes automatically.
and if i unmark the checkbox , it deletes the id from the state.
i am able to think about the logic , but cant able to code,it
Small help ,will leads to solve this problem
While switching to other pages, i am succesfully saving the data ,by updating the state
`
// push all the unique objects (combination of previous state of selectedPayments and data from list)
setSelectedPayments((prevState) => {
var arr = [...prevState, ...list];
var newState = [
...new Map(arr.map((item) => [item.id, item])).values(),
];
return newState;
});
console.log('Selected payments are', selectedPayments);
`
Also , removing the objects , if again the checkbox is unchecked ,and updating the state
`
// pull all the objects , which got unChecked
setSelectedPayments((prevState) => {
var newState = prevState.filter(function (objFromA) {
return !list.find(function (objFromB) {
return objFromA.id === objFromB.id;
});
});
return newState;
});
`
Only facing issue with keeping track of the checked boxes, i have implimented this, this is keeping track of main(parent checkbox).
How to extract the ids saved and check the checkboxes when we naviagete from one page to another
`
let elementId = e.target.id;
if (selectedBoxes.includes(elementId)) {
const newArray = selectedBoxes.filter((e) => e !== elementId);
setSelectedBoxes(newArray);
} else {
setSelectedBoxes((prevState) => {
return [...prevState, elementId];
});
}
`
First i modified the Res Json , so that it set's a property isSelected = true,
by comparing the element from the selectedPayments
inAll check handler , i set the selectedPayments like this
And render using this
This is how ,i solved this problem.

I have created a hyperlink which opens up a modal that shows a specific item from a SharePoint Online list.
Here's what I've got so far (with help from AmosWu!):
private _filterListOnEmail = () => { //this runs on componentdidmount
var urlParams = new URLSearchParams(window.location.search);
var urlParamstoString = urlParams.toString();
var justUrl = window.location.href;
var trimHref = justUrl.split('&')[0];
var trimHref2 = trimHref.substring(trimHref.indexOf("=") + 1);
var txtUrlParams = urlParams.toString();
var trimtxtUrlParams = txtUrlParams.substring(3);
this.setState({
urlParams: trimHref2
}, () => {
if(urlParamstoString){
this.setState({
showWelcomeModal: true,
ByEmail: 'Yes',
});
}
The URL I have constructed:
<a href={`https://mytenant.sharepoint.com/sites/MySite?ID=${this.props.id}`}>Here</a>
This works if the URL is https://mytenant.sharepoint.com/sites/MySite?ID=1 and it shows my modal and it gets the correct ID and shows the correct list item. But if it's ID=2 or any other number, the page shows No item exists at
https://mytenant.sharepoint.com/sites/MySite/SitePages/Home.aspx?ID=2
I don't understand why it's putting the extra SitePages/Home.aspx on the end....I guess this is causing the No item exists error.
The webpart is on the home page of the SP site.
It works with any ID number in workbench but not when deployed.
Really need help with this.
My test result:
I show the editform in the modal, it works well.
The code is the code I shared with you in Q&A. If you need the complete project code, please let me know and I will share it on Github.

Change this
useSelected: function(component, event, helper) {
const selection = component.get('v.selection');
const errors = component.get('v.errors');
if (selection.length) {
if(errors.length){ // Clear errors, if any
component.set('v.errors', []);
}
let levels = selection[0].subtitle.split('; ');
component.find('Level_1__c').set('v.value', levels[0]);
component.find('Level_2__c').set('v.value', levels[1]);
component.find('Level_3__c').set('v.value', levels[2]);
}
},
to
useSelected: function(component, event, helper) {
const selection = component.get('v.selection');
const errors = component.get('v.errors');
if (selection.length) {
if(errors.length){ // Clear errors, if any
component.set('v.errors', []);
}
let levels = selection[0].subtitle.split('; ');
component.find('Level_1__c').set('v.value', levels[0]);
component.find('Level_2__c').set('v.value', levels[1]);
component.find('Level_3__c').set('v.value', levels[2]);
} else {
// Somebody "selected" empty option = cleared the search box
component.find('Level_1__c').set('v.value', '');
component.find('Level_2__c').set('v.value', '');
component.find('Level_3__c').set('v.value', '');
}
},
Is there any direct way to get dialog object of all components which are dragged on page.
For ex: when we load page and if there is any component like text, image are on page, I can get dialog. Please suggest?
Yes, it is possible. Attach a listener which listens to the editablesready event fired by WCM. Get all the editables on the page using the #getEditables() method of CQ.WCM and then get the dialog of each editable if it is present.
Sample code below.
CQ.WCM.on('editablesready', function() {
var editables = CQ.WCM.getEditables();
for(var path in editables) {
var editable = editables[path];
try {
console.log(editable.getEditDialog());
//Do stuff
} catch(e) { }
}
});
I need help with a script to add an "active" class to a div when a hidden checkbox is checked. This all happening within a somewhat complex form that can be saved and later edited. Here's the process:
I have a series of hidden checkboxes that are checked when a visible DIV is clicked. Thanks to a few people, especially Dimitar Christoff from previous posts here, I have a few simple scripts that handle everything:
A person clicks on a div:
<div class="thumb left prodata" data-id="7"> yadda yadda </div>
An active class is added to the div:
$$('.thumb').addEvent('click', function(){
this.toggleClass('tactive');
});
The corresponding checkbox is checked:
document.getElements("a.add_app").addEvents({
click: function(e) {
if (e.target.get("tag") != 'input') {
var checkbox = document.id("field_select_p" + this.get("data-id"));
checkbox.set("checked", !checkbox.get("checked"));
}
}
});
Now, I need a fourth ( and final ) function to complete the project (using mootools or just plain javascript, no jQuery). When the form is loaded after being saved, I need a way to add the active class back to the corresponding div. Basically reverse the process. I AM trying to figure it out myself, and would love to post an idea but anything I've tried is, well, bad. I thought I'd at least get this question posted while I work on it. Thanks in advance!
window.addEvents({
load: function(){
if (checkbox.checked){
document.getElements('.thumb').fireEvent('click');
}
}
});
Example: http://jsfiddle.net/vCH9n/
Okay, in case anyone is interested, here is the final solution. What this does is: Create a click event for a DIV class to toggle an active class onclick, and also correlates each DIV to a checkbox using a data-id="X" that = the checkbox ID. Finally, if the form is reloaded ( in this case the form can be saved and edited later ) the final piece of javascript then sees what checkboxes are checked on page load and triggers the active class for the DIV.
To see it all in action, check it out here: https://www.worklabs.ca/2/add-new/add-new?itemetype=website ( script is currently working on the third tab, CHOOSE STYLE ). You won't be able to save/edit it unless you're a member however, but it works:) You can unhide the checkboxes using firebug and toggle the checkboxes yourself to see.
window.addEvent('domready', function() {
// apply the psuedo event to some elements
$$('.thumb').addEvent('click', function() {
this.toggleClass('tactive');
});
$$('.cbox').addEvent('click', function() {
var checkboxes= $$('.cbox');
for(i=1; i<=checkboxes.length; i++){
if(checkboxes[i-1].checked){
if($('c_'+checkboxes[i-1].id))
$('c_'+checkboxes[i-1].id).set("class", "thumb tactive");
}
else{
if($('c_'+checkboxes[i-1].id))
$('c_'+checkboxes[i-1].id).set("class", "thumb");
}
}
});
// Add the active class to the corresponding div when a checkbox is checked onLoad... basic idea:
var checkboxes= $$('.cbox');
for(i=1; i<=checkboxes.length; i++){
if(checkboxes[i-1].checked){
$('c_field_tmp_'+i).set("class", "thumb tactive");
}
}
document.getElements("div.thumb").addEvents({
click: function(e) {
if (e.target.get("tag") != 'input') {
var checkbox = document.id("field_tmp_" + this.get("data-id"));
checkbox.set("checked", !checkbox.get("checked"));
}
}
});
});
