In a Windows application form, I need to put a time picker. I think I may select between System.Windows.Forms.DateTimePicker or Telerik.WinControls.UI.RadDateTimePicker. It's not to be used to select a date. It's to be used a time in a 24-hours. But the time should be aligned in half-an-hour, like 00:00, 00:30, 01:00 and so on. It should not be out of this. Eg. 20:45 or 05:53 are not acceptable.
Is there an option to limit such a control to these aligned values?

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to default the time of day in DateRangePicker to 00:00:00 for start date and 23:59:59 for end date.
The time of day simply defaults to the current time on the computer, which, frankly, is rarely what the requirements for a date range are. So It's hard for me to imagine there is no way to do what I'm trying to do. Check out the screenshot:
Here I picked the date range of Apr 22 to May 4. But notice the time of day. In order to set those to 00:00:00 and 23:59:59 respectively, I have to click on those times and scroll around to pick specific time of day, which is super annoying to do every time.
The documentation says nothing about the time. Also their GitHub issues page does not address this. What am I missing here. It seems like such an obvious oversight to not allow you to set a default time of day.
You can set the default time on the calendar via defaultCalendarValue.

Im developping a MEAN stack web application where one of the functionalities is that a user can reserve a room to organize an event.
An event can only last one day. I want the user to select a certain date and time when the event takes place. I used datetime picker for the starting moment of the event, and an input field for the duration (in minutes). This isn't so user friendly in my opinion.
Anyone got an idea on how to implement it better ? I've been thinking about a datepicker with 2 timepicker (for start and end time) or just 2 datetime pickers. I don't prefer the second option because a user can only select 1 date, not a date range. For example a user can select monday 12th of march 2018 as a date, but he/she cannot select a multiple dates (from monday to friday for example).

There can be multiple events on the same day in the same room. The times just can't overlap. For example there can be an event from 4 to 5 p.m. and another event from 6 to 8 p.m. (There are 4 rooms in total. A user can select a room of choice (if its free at the given time)).
An event can only last 1 day. A user can only select 1 date not multiple.
Is there some way to find out what is the time zone of a user, in UTC format(like UTC+1, UTC+2,...etc)
What I am trying to accomplish is that after user selects UTC time zone from drop down and selects time and date, I want to show date and time values in his time zone (time zone from browser or system).
So if for example user selects: UTC+2 and 13:00 11-03-2016 and his system time zone is UTC than I want to show in some label: In your time that is: 11:00 11-03-2016 (since the UTC is minus 2 hours comparing to UTC+2)
Does somebody has suggestions on how to accomplish something like this?
Just create new Date object without specifying the time zone - JavaScript will use the browser's time zone and when getting a date, without specifying the time zone, the result is converted to the browser's time zone.

I have a PivotTable (actually it is five PivotTables, each on its own separate sheet) that is created from a query of an outside database. Each of the PivotTables represents a day (i.e. Today, Tomorrow, Today+2, Today+3, and Today+4). For the report filter for the first two, we use a date range filter of today and tomorrow which automatically filters the data and allows it to roll over. We created custom date ranges for the other three days, but upon every external data refresh we have to go into each sheet and reselect the report filter from all to the specified time frame. This data rolls over every day so we can see the lineup for the next 96 hours out.
Is there a way to either keep the PivotTable report filter criteria (VBA and macros are both acceptable, although we are also fairly new to both)?
Or is there some super secret way to extend the report filter from just today and tomorrow to a time range (48 hours, 96 hours) instead of next month?
I need the days to be separated, so next week will not work because all the days will populate on one page.
Without seeing a real example it's hard to tell, but how about changing the query to a relative date index, i.e. something like
SELECT DATEDIFF('day', GETDATE(), report_dt) AS days_from_today FROM reporting_table
And then set your report filters on this relative date index (days_from_today = 1 for tomorrow, etc)? You can always create another Excel column in the report =TODAY() + days_from_today to get your absolute date back. (Assuming you are just dealing with one time zone for reporting purposes.)
I.e., instead of rolling filters, keep the filters on constant indices, and let the indices cover a rolling date range. I'm not sure Excel is smart enough to do the rolling filters thing.

The client side value for a date column is 11/5/2013 10:15:00 AM. The time is selected from HTML5 time input control.
When I check in database after saving the entity, it shows me incorrect time value:
11/5/2013 3:15:00 PM
It appears that you are using moment.js, which is fine except you aren't using it properly
Try this instead:
moment(vm.newHearing().HearingTime(), "HH:mm").toISOString()
That will pass the selected time, on the current day, from the user's local time zone, converted to UTC time and in ISO format.
Now that might not be exactly what you want to do. Depending on your requirements, you might instead want this:
moment.utc(vm.newHearing().HearingTime(), "HH:mm").toISOString()
Which is almost the same thing except that it assumes the input time is already in UTC.
Or you might want this:
moment(vm.newHearing().HearingTime(), "HH:mm").format("YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ss")
This one doesn't try to convert to UTC at all.
For all choices, I emit the date string in ISO8601 format. Since you are sending it back to the server, this is the best choice. When you used toLocaleString, that generates a format that is appropriat for display only.
