I am trying to setup Cypress on WSL ubuntu for windows 10 machine. WSL ubuntu does not come up with its own display. Hence, we need to follow few steps before setting up Cypress. I followed all the steps mentioned in the blog here:
https://nickymeuleman.netlify.app/blog/gui-on-wsl2-cypress
But I keep getting the following error:
Cypress failed to start.
This is usually caused by a missing library or dependency.
The error below should indicate which dependency is missing.
https://on.cypress.io/required-dependencies
If you are using Docker, we provide containers with all required dependencies installed.
----------
(Cypress:1690): Gtk-WARNING **: 10:15:51.766: cannot open display: 183.87.117.18:0.0
----------
Platform: linux (Ubuntu Linux - 18.04)
Cypress Version: 4.6.0
I have also installed XLaunch for windows 10.
Was anyone able to resolve this issue earlier ? Could anyone please help me resolve this ?
Thanks
Got the idea from here: https://github.com/microsoft/WSL/issues/4106#:~:text=you%20may%20also%20need%20to%20launch%20vcxsrv%20with%20the%20-ac%20argument.
If you have XLaunch running - exit it by double-clicking on the icon in the taskbar and click Exit;
Then open your start menu > right-click XLaunch shortcut > More > Open file location;
Right-click XLaunch shortcut in the Explorer window > Properties;
Add " -ac" without double quotes right after the closing double quote in the Target field - i.e. for me it was "C:\Program Files\VcXsrv\xlaunch.exe" -ac;
Click ok
Now run Cypress again. Yay! Ran for me :)
For me, this was caused by having a WSL1 image (despite having WSL2 installed). You can check via wsl --list --verbose. Follow steps here to convert to WSL2.
I am trying to do bibliometrix analysis of articles using the bibliometrix package. I installed the package and then run the library.However, when I am uploading my data, it is showing this error:
Error in readFiles("C:/Users/patel/savedrecs.bib") : could not find
function "readFiles".
Also. when I am running library this is the massage I am getting.
library(bibliometrix) ### load bibliometrix package
Error: package or namespace load failed for ‘bibliometrix’: object
‘scale_type’ is not exported by 'namespace:ggplot2'
In addition:
Warning message: package ‘bibliometrix’ was built under R version
3.4.4
My question is how to upload data? Please help me.
Try to download the package directly from the github repository:
install.packages("devtools")# to install the bibliometrix most recent version from GITHUB
devtools::install_github("massimoaria/bibliometrix")
Beware! The github version, usually, is the most recent and not fixed one.
For windows, I had to install Rtools from https://cran.r-project.org/bin/windows/Rtools/
Then I did the following installs in RStudio
> install.packages("bibliometrix", dependencies=TRUE)
> library(bibliometrix)
To cite bibliometrix in publications, please use:
Aria, M. & Cuccurullo, C. (2017) bibliometrix: An R-tool for comprehensive science mapping analysis, Journal of Informetrics, 11(4), pp 959-975, Elsevier.
http:\\www.bibliometrix.org
To start with the shiny web-interface, please digit:
biblioshiny()
> biblioshiny()
Only then all such prerequisite problems got resolved. Without RTools, all such errors were getting reported.
I re-installed the rtools, then installed the jsonlite package and lastly, installed the bibliometrix package.
now it's working.

Today I reinstalled cordova and ionic, but I still keep getting the error. I had to adjust another issue with macports (here), which I fixed by setting the rights right, but still keep getting the above error.
Error 65 seems to have originate from within Cordova plugins. I've been able to "band-aid" this issue by:
cordova plugin remove <plugin name>
ionic platform remove <os>
ionic platform add <os>
cordova plugin add <plugin name>
I've also tried using sudo while running these commands with mixed results.
I fixed with following steps
in xCode go-to "Build Phase" >> Under "Compile Sources" >>
did you notice any missing or .m files failed to link... in my case it was "IonicKeyboard.m" file
I just added the file to the list "plugins/cordova-plugin-ionic-keyboard/src/ios/IonicKeyboard.m"
then Build Project - worked
