I did the development and now look forward to migrating it to AWS. First, I need to get this database there. So it is a database in SQL Server, I also have SQL Server running on AWS. How do I migrate the database over? Thanks.
EDIT: Hi, all the tutorials i found from Google are too much detailed or difficult to follow (those ones without images). Is there a similar thing like exporting a .sql file then import it?

I spun up an Azure SQL Database and connected to it using SSMS in hopes of following this tutorial. When I look in Object Explorer, the only two folders I see are "Databases" and "Security"; there is no "Server Objects", and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why not.

Is it an Azure SQL Database thing? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!
Azure SQL Database only allows database access. Server Objects is something you need access to the entire instance/server. If you want to use Azure, you'll need to spin up a VM and install SQL Server on there in order to follow this tutorial.
From the pictures in the tutorial it looks like they have SQL Server Express running on their local machine. If you can, try that route as it'll probably be cheaper and less hassle.

SQL Azure DB - This is the PaaS solution, not SQL Server running on an Azure VM.
Single Page App (Angular.js) hosted on Azure Web App.
My needs:
I'd like to find a packaged solution where we could allow user-configured reporting that could be saved by the user, for running later. Output would ideally be either CSV or PDF.
Initial thoughts:
Could we create a SQL Server installation on an Azure VM, and use SSRS with the SQL Azure DB as the data source?
Are there third party solutions that could meet these needs?
My research so far has shown one answer... migrate your data to SQL Server running on Azure VM, and use SSRS that way.
Any additional suggestions? I'm reluctant to do a data migration if I can avoid it.
Consider PowerBi, there are numerous examples on the web and here is an overview. What you basically get is an excel-like environment with a lot of smart and easy visualizations. I am not sure how well it works, but there is a possibility to ask questions about your data in natural language as well.
It should be pretty easy to connect your database to PowerBi, then your user can configure what kind of visualizations/report does he want to have.

I'm in some trouble configuring BonitaBPM with Ms Sql database.
Already searched a lot on the internet but many of the examples used in mysql show, it tried to do the same, so that the problem that the files mentioned in the articles do not exist in my folders setup Bonita (Bundle, etc.).
I try to configure the file that links to BD's but gives a runtime error.
My goal is to use Ms Sql as the primary database, thus making the emigration of all tables in Bonita to SQL DB.
I would like to receive an example how to do this configuration.

Actually Bonita BPM 6 can be configured to use Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (Bonitasoft provide official support for such configuration) but only with the JBoss bundle or other supported applications server such as Oracle WebLogic.
That is because:
Apache Tomcat is not a full Java EE application server
An extra library (Bitronix) is included to provide transaction management support
Bitronix has known issues with SQL Server
So only solution I may suggest is to switch to JBoss bundle, or, if possible, use an alternative DBMS such as PostgreSQL.
Sorry to not be able to come with a better option but here we facing a limitation of Bitronix library.
I'm looking for any advice on the best way to migrate a SharePoint 2007 installation and a database. The current setup is a server running SharePoint 2007 with the database stored on a separate SQL Server installation. Due to performance issues we are planning to move the SharePoint application to another server and also move the database onto the same physical server and run it using SQL Server 2005 Express.
Has anyone done this type of migration before and could they recommend the best way to carry this out or if it is even possible. Migrating the SharePoint installation from one physical server to another seems fairly straight forward using stsadm.exe. Can anyone advise the best way to move the database from an SQL Server to SQL Server Express so that the SharePoint installation will be able to see it?

I am on a shared host and whilst in development (umbraco) I think it would be easier to use VistaDB then package up to install to SQL Server. However, I have already started using SQL Server. Is there a way to migrate my SQL Server (2008) database to VistaDB. I assume the schema is identical but I need a way/tool to move the data to VistaDB.
You could migrate to VistaDB in the same way that you want to migrate data from development to production. Create a package from your current SQL Server-based development site, then create a new empty install of Umbraco with a VistaDB database and import the package there.
This would also be a useful dry run to check that migration to production is going to work as smoothly as you expect.
You can also use the Data Migration Tool in VistaDB to migrate any SQL Server database to VistaDB 4. If you need an older migration (I think the current Umbraco is still using VDB3 files) contact support through the VistaDB.Net site and someone will help you.
