Multiple modules List in a Dashboard - Yeoman MEANJS Generator - angularjs

I am new in MEANJS and someone suggest me to go with MEANJS for kickstart app. I have started working on it and trying to make an architecture for my app but i am confused in 1 thing that what will be the architecture if i need to work in cross modules.
What I want is that I have 2 CRUD modules Articles and Needs now I want to show my Needs list and Articles list on my dashboard (core module home page). Please help me and how can i communicate between different modules. App is medium size.
Waiting for suggestions..

I think your best way of doing this is by using the REST api's of each module. In core/client/services add new services for retrieving the data from /api/articles and /api/needs (use the same services as in articles/client/services/articles.client.service.js).
Call the services in core/client/controllers/home.client.controller.js to get the data and display it in core/client/views/home.client.view.html.
Hope this helps a bit. Im also quite new to MeanJS.

express angular single page app archetecture

Hi i am a beginner to nodejs & angularjs.
I have a requirement for an angularjs application, i am planing to do the back end REST API's using expressjs.
For my application I have two parts; one front end UI for general users & one admin panel or managing the entire application database.
I found a number of angular-express seed projects on github.
So my question is that which one is the best choice for me among the following :
1. Doing a single app using express+angular(is it possible to create a separate area for admin)
2. Implement a middleware for REST API's and admin panel using node. Then do a separate angular-seed project.Host the two app separately.
Another question is that whether I should use express or sails js?
Anyone please can help me.
Thanks in advance.
If you're new to AngularJS i'd strongly recommend starting from nothing so that you get an overall look at how everything comes together, my personal experience is that it's better to use seed projects or generators should once you have a basic understanding of how an AngularJS and nodeJS project comes together
Technically both option one and two are valid however I would go with option one, this means you can build authentication and authorisation into your application and use that to stop people accessing the admin section - This reduces complexity because you don't have to manage multiple projects and may also benefit you personally as it allows you to dive into security and expand your knowledge.
Should you use express or sails? That comes down to exactly what you're building - each library has it's own pros and cons, i'd say it's down to you to weigh up these pros and cons and make a decision on what library you would like to go with.
You can use app generators. One of the best generator is Yeoman
And here Yeoman generators you can query the generator you want

Setting up an Angular/Ionic Mobile Application with MongoDB

I was wondering if anyone could help me at all.
I posted a previous question in regards to this title but I didn't receive much of a response (probably due to lack of information).
I started out with an Ionic Application and built the view files using state URLS to navigate from page to page in the WWW folder. I've then created corresponding controllers for the view files, for basic calls and functionality that I want my app to do in the front-end via Ionic.
My question is how do I setup MongoDB + Mongoose so I can have access to the models I have created?
I have scoured the internet but to no avail, I mean I know there is no set way to define a model within this type of application but some general guidance would be really appreciated.
I understand that when building an application with Angular you're essentially building 2 applications, the front-end where your CSS, JS and HTML goes with the front-end frameworks on top of them.
Then the backend application that runs the server, stores data and runs the business logic. This is where I have created the User Schema model for my application and have inserted a document into my database via the MongoDB shell whilst running mongod.
However I also created a users.js in another models folder in my front-end where I'm returning a resource following a url with either a get, save, query, remove or delete.
First of all I would like to say I'm relatively new to building mobile applications so this may even be entirely wrong and secondly up to this point I get lost as to what to do in my application.
I have tried setting up an express server in my app.js file and I can connect to it via my terminal as it is listening on the port number, but in the browser it is coming up with cannot /GET.
If you need any more information please feel free to ask, I know I haven't really gone into any technicals, but I'm really not sure even if I'm asking the right questions to begin with.
Thank you in advance.

What would be the best approach to integrate a legacy Drupal backend with Ionic?

I am trying to separate the UI layer for a legacy CMS app from Drupal. The immediate solution that comes to mind is to build a RESTful service layer on top of the Drupal architecture for the front end to consume. However, this is going to be a time consuming effort. So, I'm wondering if there's a smarter way to do it? I know we can define the JSON formats and write controllers to deliver it to the front end, but if we would like to avoid coding so much, what options would I have?
Are there any plugins I could use?
Thanks!
You can do this in a smarter way by using a set of drupal contrib modules.
While using these modules you will have ample options for Response formatters like json, xml, jsonp etc
Download drupal modules:
libraries
services

This link is helpful for you figuring out the intial steps for integrating these modules with your website.

Angular App to AppGyver- Port to Mobile Solution

I'm beginner to appgyver steroids.
I have angular project. Now I need to make iOS application using AppGyver.
Instead of modify root view and point it to my angular app url (http://www.yourapp.com) can I add my angular app source / angular project build to AppGyver project make it iOS application.
Appreciate your comments

You can run steroids create yourApp. This will walk you through the generation of a multi page or single page application. You can then move the structure of your angular application into the /app folder. Check out the example that the steroids create method generates and see the structure there.
You may notice some differences at first. It may take some testing to see what is failing if anything once you port things over. If you used $rootScope for anything it is not as reliable in my experience in an iOS or Android application. There are other methods for passing data between views and broadcasting (publish/subscribe) to other controllers.
You will want to use the iOS simulator or http://localhost:4567/app/moduleName/oneOfYourViewsYouAreTesting.html in your favorite browser while steroids connect is running to debug.
The version of Angular that is coming with this now is AngularJS v1.3.15 installed via bower. You may want to verify things are compatible with your current Angular version.
Ionic is used and Supersonic so you may see conflict with existing CSS or even javascript depending on what you've implemented.
There will be some tricks to learn about preloading views in the structure.coffee file and load times / rootView / initialView. There is lots of support if you come across any issues.
This forum has been really helpful in figuring out any issues I've come across. The Appgyver team is usually pretty responsive to questions directly as well.
They are updating the platform in a few days, and they say big changes are coming. They are hiring a lot of developers right now to take care of GitHub issues as well as build out the rest of their incomplete components.

Laravel and Angular.JS - Web App Dev

I have started learning Laravel and Angular, for one of my project at university. I want to rebuild the website www.lolcalculator.com with these two frameworks but I cant figure out exatly the best way to do that. From Laravel I want the less posible, because I will focus on Angular.
Can someone with more experience help me?
For example, do I need to use routing on both sides? Which functions of the website I should cover with Laravel(Mailer, Auth, Routing...) and which using Angular?
I just need to understand a bigger image, not in details.
Tnx a lot.
All the best :D
There's quite some information on the net regarding Laravel and Angular, but this one in particular is one that I found useful: http://scotch.io/tutorials/php/create-a-laravel-and-angular-single-page-comment-application.
You may also want to consider writting a front-end app in Angular and a separate back-end app in Laravel. The back-end app can then expose an API, consumed by the Angular front-end.
