Error when exporting data from SQL server database - sql-server

I try to export data-only from SQL server using task->generate scripts menu and get this following error. what does it mean? I'm not so familiar with this SQL server, so this bunch of text really confusing for me.
Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.SqlScriptPublish.SqlScriptPublishException: An error occurred while scripting the objects. ---> Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.SmoException: Cyclic dependencies found. at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.SmoDependencyOrderer.DependencyGraphTraversal(Int32 num, Dictionary`2 dictionary, List`1 sortedList, HashSet`1 visited, HashSet`1 current) at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.SmoDependencyOrderer.DependencyGraphTraversal(Int32 num, Dictionary`2 dictionary, List`1 sortedList, HashSet`1 visited, HashSet`1 current) at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.SmoDependencyOrderer.DependencyGraphTraversal(Int32 num, Dictionary`2 dictionary, List`1 sortedList, HashSet`1 visited, HashSet`1 current) at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.SmoDependencyOrderer.SortDictionary(Dictionary`2 dictionary) at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.SmoDependencyOrderer.SortDataSet(DataSet ds) at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.SmoDependencyOrderer.SortDataSet(List`1 objectList, Dictionary`2 idDictionary, DataSet ds) at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.SmoDependencyOrderer.ExecuteQueryUsingTempTable(List`1 objectList, List`1 list, String query) at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.SmoDependencyOrderer.ResolveTableOnlyDependencies() at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.SmoDependencyOrderer.ResolveDependencies() at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.SmoDependencyOrderer.Order(IEnumerable`1 urns) at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.ScriptMaker.DiscoverOrderScript(IEnumerable`1 urns) at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.ScriptMaker.ScriptWorker(List`1 urns, ISmoScriptWriter writer) at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.ScriptMaker.Script(Urn[] urns, ISmoScriptWriter writer) at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.SqlScriptPublish.SqlScriptGenerator.DoScript(ScriptOutputOptions outputOptions) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.SqlScriptPublish.GeneratePublishPage.worker_DoWork(Object sender, DoWorkEventArgs e) at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.OnDoWork(DoWorkEventArgs e) at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.WorkerThreadStart(Object argument)

I suggest you to install Sql Server Management 2008 R2 to connect to your SQL Server 2008 instance.
In my case this solved the problem and I generated the script in this way.

Error when trying to create or edit a job step in SQL Server "The system cannot find the file specified."

I am using
Microsoft SQL Server 2019 (RTM) - 15.0.2000.5 (X64)
Developer Edition (64-bit) on Windows Server 2016 Standard 10.0 <X64> (Build 14393: )
The recent things I have done was creating a job that restores databases dynamically from a path, ran it and disabled it.
Afterwards, when I tried to add a new step I got this error:
The system cannot find the file specified
I can't find any errors in the SQL Server logs.
I am able to create jobs with T-SQL and able to run them.
The other similar question on stack overflow are not relevant to my issue.
Why am I getting this error suddenly?
This is the error copied from management studio:

Turns out it was some problem with SSMS.
I only noticed it when trying to edit a job step on another server.
When opening a new instance of SSMS, everything worked fine.

Why am I getting "Unable to load the specified metadata resource" error?

I have an MVC5 web application which I usually develop using my laptop.
I am trying to get the app running on my main machine at home for home-working days but have a problem connecting to the local dev database on SQL Server - when I start the app I get the following error:
More info 30/11/16:
Note that the model is generated from EDML using Entity Developer
Unable to load the specified metadata resource. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
The solution consists of 2 projects, one of which is an entity model project which is generated from EDMX.
Note: On my main machine (where it isn't working) the connection string in Web.config is the same as the machine where it works except for Data Source which refers to the SQL Server name on the main machine - I have checked this is correct several times:
I have read several Stack Overflow posts with similar issues - most point to something wrong with the path to the csdl, ssdl, msl part of the connection string.
I have:
Checked the server name is correct in the connection string
Checked the database name is correct in the connection string
Checked the database exists and is available
Checked each of the three files are where the connection string says they are (they are)
Tried using wildcard in the connection string: res://*/dllname.csdl|res://*/dllname.ssdl|res://*/dllname.msl
Update 30/11/2016:
From the suggestions in this link I have:
Checked the MetadataArtifactProcessing property - it is not set to Copy to Output directory
Checked the connection string
We don't have a post-compile task
From the suggestion in this link I have tried setting the connection string connectionString="metadata=res://*/;

There's a very popular question over there and from its rating I can assume it helped a lot of people. It even mentions a blog post with complete troubleshooting for this problem. Also, this answer looks like something you didn't try yet.

MsDeploy with DbDacFx provider and Database reference

We are using DbDacFx provider to sync our production machine.
We have ssdt database project in our solution that we deploy along with our website.
The A.sqlproj has references to master.dacpac and another database project's dacpac, say X.dacpac.
All dacpacs are in same location for deployment.
When we try to deploy the A.dacpac we get errors as below:
Info: Deploying package to database: Faulted. Error: The reference to external elements from the source named 'X.dacpac' could not be resolved, because no such source is loaded. Error: The reference to external elements from the source named 'master.dacpac' could not be resolved, because no such source is loaded. .....above errors repeated multiple times..... Need to know how we can overcome the issues.
Thanks
Yatin.
Do the referenced dacpacs exist on the machine that is running the deploy?
If they do the easiest is to copy the dacpacs into the same folder as the dacpac you are deploying as the same directory will be checked, failing that the original path that contained the original dacpac.
This is still a pain.
We plan on scripting the sqlpackage.exe file command through runCommand provider and get automation going !!
Closing the question.
Thanks

The vs2008 designer for reports and report viewer are not backwards compatible with 2.0. In the same way you cannot design 2005 reports with vs2008 - that may be your issue.
I had something similar once. You might want to make sure the test machine has the ReportViewer dll installed in the GAC. Microsoft has created an installer to make this easier.
Question: Are you using Reporting Services in local mode with a report viewer control inside winforms?
My installer copies all required dlls
Microsoft.ReportViewer.Common.dll
Microsoft.ReportViewer.ProcessingObjectModel.dll
Microsoft.ReportViewer.Winforms.dll
to ProgramFiles/myAppname folder.
It works perfectly on Vista/XP but the issue is at Win98.
I'll try to install these dll's at GAC, maybe that's a problem. I'm trying to avoid running extra installers inside my installer.
#keithwarren7:
if that's true, then it's really stupid. do you know any simple & free report engine for .net 2.0?
