Oracle Apex Checkbox checked on load - checkbox

There is a checkbox in my Oracle Apex page. When page load, this checkbox should be checked by default.
I have followed instruction on How to set Oracle Apex Checkbox default value and use Before Footer as Computation Point and Item Value as Computation Type. But it's not working for me.
How can I achieve this ?

Example Columns Attributes:
Display As: Simple Checkbox
List of values definition: Y,N
Default: 'Y'

Mileage will vary depending on APEX version. That seems the long way - why not set the Default Value attribute of the item?
Is the item associated with a database column?

Dynamic Form with dependent Selects in React

I need to create a form in which the fields are dynamically generated from the database api. The problem is that I have cases where I will have two selection fields, and one depends on the other.
For example:
Selection A - Manufacturer,
Selection B - Models
The Models that should be shown in selection B must only be the models of the manufacturer choosen in selection A.
As the form is made dynamically I don't have fixed states where I can check the value of selection A.
Does anyone have any idea how I could solve this problem?
Thanks,
Put an onChange handle on the Selection A (Manufacturer) in order to get the Selection B (Models) mounted based on the selected manufacturer.
Maybe you can fetch the models just after Selection A had a value selected.
Or, if you got all the models in the same moment when the manufacturers are fetched, when manufacturer will be selected you could filter models using it as reference.
I found the aswer and is very simple on my case, I'm using react-hook-form, so I only need use the watch function to see the valeu of
selection A, passing the name id of the component.

View criteria missing in jdeveloper 12.1.3

We are having a cascading LOV -> Deaprtment, class(inputComboBoxWithLOV). Class LOV is filtered with selected value of Department. When I follow the below steps:
select a department
click on the down arrow to show filtered results, I see filtered classes with the selected department. Select a class and tab out.
clear the class field, again click on the down arrow to show filtered results.(P.S : Department field is not touched) But the class field is not showing filtered results. But when I clicked on More... to display the Search and select popup, I could see the filtered results.
Only the the combobox dropdown values were unfiltered.
On Debugging, found that the viewCriteria which was applied to filter using Department is missing. The entire Where clause is missing.
This is occurring after our latest migration to 12.1.3, earlier we were using jdeveloper 11g and never faced this issue.
Any pointers about this issue will be highly appreciated.
The LOV UI hints "Filter Combo Box Using" option was unchecked, when I checked it and tried I was able to see filtered results in the dropdown.
However I did not understand why it was not picking values from existing view criteria from the view object definition related to the LOV's view accessor and why should I explicitly check this option.
This sounds like a 12.1.3 ADF BUG. You should fill in a Service Request with Oracle about it.
If you don't have a SR account, I will be happy to fill one in your behalf, if you can provide a sample workspace running on HR schema where we can reproduce the problem.

Show either chart or table based on radio button or checkbox in ssrs

I have a report request to show either chart or table using SSRS. I am mew to SSRS so not sure of woraround to make this work.
So far I tried below:
1. Create a "ShowDetails" parameter with
Data type - Boolean
Parameter Visibility - True
Available values - none
Default Values (non queried)- =False
2 In the chart properties set the Hidden to -> =Not(Parameters!ShowDetails.Value)
and toggle to textbox1 which I created for expand and collapse option.
Problem is radio button is not working ie., when I change the option to true no action on chart.Have to control the chart only by expand and collapse option.
Looking for other solution to show either chart or table based on show or hide parameter.
Thank You
Shilpa
I would write the expression in the Hidden Property of the chart like this instead.
=IIF(Parameters!ShowDetails.Value="False",True,False)
The above expression with some work around got me the answer. Below are the steps
Create a "ShowDetails" parameter with Data type - Boolean,Parameter Visibility - True Available values - Label-No, Value -True and Label-Yes, Value -False Default Values (non queried)- =True
2 In the chart properties set the visibility->Hidden -> =IIF(Parameters!ShowChart.Value="1",True,False)
With the above solution am able to hide and show the chart based on input parameter.
Thank You
Shilpa

ADF: List of Values Update Multiple Fields

I have an LOV added to my view object which updates 6 fields - done all through the LOV wizard in JDeveloper. It works perfectly fine when test running the application module - all fields update with the proper values after selecting a value from the LOV. However in my JSPX form, the only the field that gets updated is the one that the LOV is attached or is initiated on.
On my form, i only display 2 out of the 6 fields - the field which initiates the LOV and another editable field that the LOV is supposed to update. The part where this gets interesting is that the 4 other fields in my view object that i dont put in my form, are updated successfully by the LOV! But the one additional editable field that i left in my form, isnt updated.
Why is that?
I could just write a method in my View object Row Implementation class to update that editable field manually, but i feel like theres something more straight forward via declarative approach.
Thank you!
Fixed!
I needed to update two settings on my 2nd field of the form.
Removed the default bindings on the "Required" attribute and set it to "false".
Set "ShowRequired" to true
After that, I saved my changes and re-ran my application and the field updated properly!
I hope others find this helpful!

ExtJS 4 - How to avoid grid column value becoming null when column editor is combo-box?

I have a column in a grid with editor as combo-box.
When the grid is loaded then all the column values get displayed properly.
The issue is, when user clicks at the column (having combobox as editor) to edit it then the column value becomes null as shown in the attached screenshot.
I understand that the value becomes null as the store of combobox has not been loaded yet.
I can not use autoLoad true due to the heavy amount of data present in the combobox store. Moreover, even if I use autoLoad:true for the store with paging in it, then that too safeguards only those values which are present in the first page and not all.
Thus, how can I maintain the value in grid column when that value is not present in the store of combobox used as editor for the column?
Could anyone guide at this?
PS: I am using ExtJS Ver 4.0.2a
I have been able to find a solution for this.
It has more to do with the version of ExtJs. If we upgrade to 4.0.7 and then use forceSelection:false for a combobox then things work fine as expected. That is, the combo-box accepts a value which doesn't exist in its store and doesn't set the current value to null.
Hope this helps someone else too looking for something similar.
I would suggest having the grid record contain both that columns value, as well as display value. If the combo store lookup is unable to find a matching value (because that combo store hasn't been loaded yet), then revert to showing the display value stored with the grid record.
You might also need to have the afteredit event on the grid update that grid records display value after that column is edited for a particular row.
