Im using Google Geocoding to search for address and load a list with possible locations so the user can input his/her country/city in a form.
For that I followed the example in:
Angular-ui-bootstrap
The Typehead Section
But, even after the list is loaded, the user can write and input whatever they want.
Can I restrict the input only to one of the items in the list?? (instead of just free typing)
typeahead-editable: false might do this for you. I am not in a position to test and confirm it. However, I recommend checking out ui-select2 as this may be more appropriate for what you are doing.

I have a signup form where the user is supposed to enter amongst other personal details also his phone number's country prefix (e.g. '+49' for Germany). Now I have a script running which automatically detects the country prefix according to the user's IP geo location.
If the IP location is successfully determining the user's current location, it puts the country code automatically in the signup form's prefix field.
This means that the user doesn't have to enter the prefix manually.
My question is: once the signup form is loading, and all fields are empty except for the country prefix, how can I validate the country prefix field successfully prior to hitting the submit button?
I tried all kinds of triggers from the jQuery Events page as suggested by the ParsleyJS documentation but I don't get it done..
Any help on this would be gladly appreciated!
Edit to further clarify: If you're visiting the signup page, the IP location script detects your location, translates that into your country's phone prefix, and puts that number into the "Prefix" form field. So you don't have to put there anymore by yourself. This works only if the the IP locations script successfully identifies your location of course, however this works in most of the cases. So what I would like to achieve is that this form gets it's green validated background, although you didn't put in the prefix yourself. In other words, the prefix is already in the field in most of the cases.
I'm using the data-parsley-triggers, no jQuery or JS to validate the whole form.
You can see in the picture that I entered a first name, Foo, which validated upon data-parsley-trigger="change". The blue arrows show the fields which have been filled automatically by the IP location - and they are not validated as I'm missing the right trigger.
It's not clear what you are trying to achieve (why validate the field when it's clear it will be valid), but why not simple $('input[name="phone_prefix"]').parsley().validate()?
At the moment I have an input field with the following directive:
ng-model="event.location"
I also have the input field attached to a Google Maps auto complete script. By way of example, if my user types "apa", the Google auto complete list will come up and there is the option of clicking "Apartments". However, the String "Apartments" does not bind to my variable and the "location" variable only contains the String "apa". How can I get AngularJS to bind to the full location once the user selects an option from Google Maps?
Update: It's just a one liner for Google Maps
new google.maps.places.Autocomplete(document.getElementById('location-text'));
Although I'm sure a lot more is happening behind the scenes
I am using salesforce for a group project here at SJSU, the thing is this is our first time using it, and we are having a little bit of trouble programming some things on Salesforce.
What we are trying to do:
We have a section on one of our forms where users will give us authorization to use Data they submit, the usage of this data will be under the terms set by those who submit the data. If the user does not want to set limitations on their authorization for us to use the data then they can select a checkbox called labeled "none" which basically means they are setting no limitations on what we can use their data for.
What we want to do is, if users select the checkbox then we want the users to not be able to enter any text into the textbox. If users enter text into the box while the checkbox is checked we want an error message to appear which will let the user know that no data can be entered into the box if the checkbox is checked. However if no checkbox is checked then we want users to be able to enter the data. How do we go about doing this
AND (None_c = True then Limitations_c has to be empty, elseif None_c = False then Limitations_c cannot be empty.)
If you want to leverage the out of the box UI (Page Layout), then you will likely want to use Validation Rules.
https://help.salesforce.com/HTViewHelpDoc?id=fields_defining_field_validation_rules.htm&language=en_US
The gist of it is that you want to define Error criteria, so when this criteria evaluates to true, and error is thrown. In that case, you should be able to construct something similar to the following:
Checkbox1__c && NOT(ISBLANK(Text2__c))
Validation rules would be the easiest way to execute this, though checking the box would not dynamically prevent users from entering text. With a validation rule, it just wouldn't let a users save.
The nice thing about using validation rules is that you can construct them such that checking None__c will not vomit on the user unless they actually modify Limitations__c. ISCHANGED() is great for that.
If I could suggest an alternative, the way I would implement this is to treat an empty Limitations__c as None__c = True. It simplifies things for users, and you can add a formula-driven checkbox if a checkbox element is truly required.
A lot of my site is dynamically generated dependant on the user location.
To get an initial fix I am currently using the Smart_IP module which does this based on the user IP address - which works great as a starting point. I can access $_SESSION['smart_ip']['location']['longitude'] & $_SESSION['smart_ip']['location']['latitude'] as required - perfect!
But I need to allow my user to override this..
Using HTML5 geolocation. I want to only do this on user request, ie click 'locate me', rather than requesting their location uninvited.
Using one of a few pre-defined locations selectable by the user.
Using an inputed address by the user.
Is there any drupal module I can use for this, or how else could I achieve it?

Just to clarify, I am talking about anonymous users here - the general public visiting my site. I just want them to be able to refine their 'location' by overriding the defaults I give them using smart_ip.
I suggest to use Geolocation field and all it's submodules or Geofield. Last one provides more input methods.
Use the Address field module to allow the user create multiple addresses into a node (or even into his profile), Geocoder module to get the lon/lat from these addresses and then a Views to display them in a list.
Same as 2 but without views.
If you want to allow user select one of the 3 methods you can use an other - helper - field (eg a select list with the 3 options).
Finally you should add an extra field to store the lat/lon pair final values maybe with Computed field module or 2 simple textfields that will get the selected values through javascript.
I have a form where a user can enter a location address as well as the utility companies that provide service to that address. The Utility data is associated to the building:
Location hasMany Utility
Solely within the context of the utility, the name field is required so there's validation indicating as much. Within the context of a location, though, any utility information is optional. The user can choose not to enter that data when entering a location which would simply indicate that they don't want to associate the location with any or all of the utility companies we track.
Using the FormHelper, though, the validation is detected and the field gets marked as required. I want to retain that validation for the instances where utility data is being entered independently, but remove the required indicator on the location form.
I know I can hack this in any number of ways (e.g. removing the required class via javascript, etc.), but I'm wondering if there's a clean way to do this using the Cake API. I haven't seen anything obvious, so I'm hoping someone else has been here and found a clean, simple solution.
Thanks.
You can either ask the user how many utilities they want to add before creating the form, or you can add the Utility record inputs dynamically using js (the later is more work to do, and not as error-proof as the former).
An example of the view (if you want to do it in 1 view):
if (empty($this->data){
// a form to ask how many utility records the users want to create.
}else{
// generate the form based on user input.
}
I assume you know what to do in the controller.
I would add a class to the form element that are optionnal, and use that class to override the "required" indicator.
In fact there is a Cake solution, use the error param
$this->Form->input('Model.field', array('error' => false));
To disable error message output set the error key to false.
