How to set Query Parameters - sql-server

How to map the OLE DB source SQL command query parameters with variables using EzAPI ?
Basically I need to do something like below.
Thanks in advance.

Here is how I had to do it for SSIS 2012. I had to find the GUID of the variable in question and set it that way.
EzOleDbSource source = new EzOleDbSource(this);
source.Connection = sourceconnection;
source.SqlCommand = sourcecomannd;
source.AccessMode = AccessMode.AM_SQLCOMMAND;
source.SetComponentProperty("ParameterMapping", "\"Parameter0:Input\",{C2BCD5B0-1FDB-4A74-8418-EEF9C1D19AC3};");
To get the GUID you can query the Variables in the EZPackage object.
Application a = new Application();
var package = a.LoadPackage(packagelocation, null);
var ezpackage = new EzPackage(package);
var firstOrDefault = ezpackage.Variables.OfType<Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.Variable>()
.AsQueryable()
.FirstOrDefault(x => x.Name.Equals("MyParameter"));
if (firstOrDefault != null)
{
var guid =
firstOrDefault.ID;
}

I have accepted Geek's answer because it is the real answer for my question. But I found instead of mapping variables to parameters we can use variables directly in the query. For example: exec your_sp_name "#[User::your_variable_name]"
UPDATE : Above method is not working.
Use the the accepted answer method. To take the GUID of the variable, I used the follwing method.
string guid = string.Empty;
foreach (var x in this.Variables)
{
if (x.Name == "cdc_capture_log_id")
{
guid = x.ID;
}
}
Where this = EzPackage. Same as above.

Passing a full-text search parameter using Dapper.net

Consider this simple query which use full text searching on the Keywords field:
DECLARE #searchTerm VARCHAR(500) = 'painted'
SELECT * FROM StockCatalogueItems
WHERE (CONTAINS(KeyWords, #searchTerm))
This works as expected, but I need to do the same using a Dapper.net parameterised query. When using stored procedures, I create the full text parameter like this: "\"painted*\""
But using the same approach this doesn't work using dapper. No results are returned. This is the line in the query where I use the parameter:
AND (CONTAINS(KeyWords, #search))
and it's passed to the query like so:
return _context.Database.Connection.Query<StockProfileMatrix>(basequery, new
{
search = searchTerm
}
I can only assume that dapper is sanitising the string somehow, removing quotes perhaps?
Any ideas?
This works for me. However the tech stack am working on is .net core RTM and "Dapper": "1.50.0-rc3",
_dbConnection.QueryAsync<Guid>(#"select br.Id from Brand br where CONTAINS(br.Text,#Name)",new {Name = $"\"*{name}*\""}))
For completeness, I'll answer the question. The query syntax is correct, but the way in which the full-text parameter is created was obviously not. I created an extension method that formats the parameter:
public static string ToFullText(this string str)
{
string searchTerm = null;
if (!string.IsNullOrEmpty(str))
{
string[] keywords = str.Trim().Split(null);
foreach (var keyword in keywords)
{
searchTerm += string.Format("\"{0}*\" AND ", keyword);
}
if (searchTerm != null)
searchTerm = searchTerm.Substring(0, searchTerm.LastIndexOf(" AND "));
}
return searchTerm;
}
Then I call the method when I pass the parameter in to the dapper query:
_context.Database.Connection.Query<dynamic>(query, new
{
search = filter.SearchTerm.ToFullText()
});

Dapper SqlBuilder OrWhere using AND instead of OR

I was trying to use the Where and OrWhere methods of SqlBuilder for Dapper, but it is not acting like how I would expect.
The edited portion of this question is basically what I ran into. Since it didn't receive a response, I'll ask it here.
var builder = new SqlBuilder();
var sql = builder.AddTemplate("select * from table /**where**/ ");
builder.Where("a = #a", new { a = 1 })
.OrWhere("b = #b", new { b = 2 });
I expected select * from table WHERE a = #a OR b = #b
but I got select * from table WHERE a = #a AND b = #b
Is there any way to add an OR to the where clause using the SqlBuilder?
I think it's just a matter of changing the following in the SqlBuilder class to say OR instead of AND, but I wanted to confirm.
public SqlBuilder OrWhere(string sql, dynamic parameters = null)
{
AddClause("where", sql, parameters, " AND ", prefix: "WHERE ", postfix: "\n", IsInclusive: true);
return this;
}
Nevermind. I looked through the SqlBuilder code and found that if there is a mixture of Where and OrWhere, it will do the following:
Join all the AND clauses
Join all the OR clauses separately
Attach the OR clauses at the end of the AND clauses with an AND
If you don't have more than 1 OrWhere, then you won't see any OR.
I'll modify my query logic to take this into account
You have to change your query into:
var builder = new SqlBuilder();
var sql = builder.AddTemplate("select * from table /**where**/ ");
builder.OrWhere("a = #a", new { a = 1 })
.OrWhere("b = #b", new { b = 2 });
In case you want to try another alternative, DapperQueryBuilder may be easier to understand:
var query = cn.QueryBuilder($#"
SELECT *
FROM table
/**where**/
");
// by default multiple filters are combined with AND
query.FiltersType = Filters.FiltersType.OR;
int a = 1;
int b = 2;
query.Where($"a = {a}");
query.Where($"b = {b}");
var results = query.Query<YourPOCO>();
The output is fully parametrized SQL (WHERE a = #p0 OR b = #p1).
You don't have to manually manage the dictionary of parameters.

ScriptDb, how to tell a object has a key or not

I have such objects in ScriptDb,
[{a:1,b:2,c:3},{a:0,b:0}]
How do I query object without key c?
It seems the only way is to query all object using db.query({}), then use something like "typeof result.c == 'undefined'".
Is there a way to do it in ScriptDb?
Thanks.
You can use that to get records without c:
var db = ScriptDb.getMyDb();
var result = db.query({c: db.not(db.anyValue())});
while (result.hasNext()) {
var current = result.next();
Logger.log ("a= "+current.a+", c="+current.c);
}
The ones with c:
var result = db.query({c: db.anyValue()});
These functions (not, anyValue...) are documented in Class ScriptDbInstance

Make second connection to external DB

I use classic connecion, which created in bootstap by read parameters from application.ini file. I would like use more external DBs, but I can´t read them from application.ini. I prefer read parameters from main DB (which external DB it is, depend on website). So how effectivelly make connection in model? Now I set that connection every time when I need use it. And when I need use main DB, is neccessary make connection again. It´s very uneffective solution.
function joinClientDB($id)
{
$web = $this->getById($id);
$dbSettings = array();
$dbSettings['host'] = $web['web_dbHost'];
$dbSettings['username'] = $web['web_dbUsername'];
$dbSettings['password'] = $web['web_dbPassword'];
$dbSettings['dbname'] = $web['web_dbName'];
$this->_db = Zend_Db::factory('pdo_mysql', $dbSettings);
$this->_db->query('SET CHARACTER SET ' . $web['web_dbCharset']);
}
function joinDefaultDb()
{
$this->_db = Zend_Registry::get('db');
}
Has anybody easy solution for me?
I would suggest to use the Zend MULTI DB Plugin. Add to your applications.ini all database connections:
; Database ONE
resources.multidb.test.adapter =
resources.multidb.test.dbname =
resources.multidb.test.username =
resources.multidb.test.password = ""
resources.multidb.test.host = "your.local.host"
resources.multidb.test.default = true
; Database TWO
resources.multidb.live.adapter =
resources.multidb.live.dbname =
resources.multidb.live.username =
resources.multidb.live.password = ""
resources.multidb.live.host = "your.live.host.com"
And now you could put them in your registry again (bootstrap.php):
protected function _initDbAdapters()
{
$this->bootstrap('multidb');
$resource = $this->getPluginResource('multidb');
$resource>init();
$testDB = $resource->getDb('test');
$liveDB = $resource->getDb('live');
Zend_Registry::set('DB_TEST', $testDB);
Zend_Registry::set('DB_LIVE', $liveDB);
}

SqlCacheDependecy command notification not working

I been trying to get sqlcachedependecy working, but it doesn't appear to work
I got the proper settings in my web.config and also global.asa, however when I run this query and the changes are made to the database from either with in or outside the web site the cached objects are not updated please someone help? I know its not because this query is querying a view, because I tested this using straight SqlDependecy and the notification works fine.
public IQueryable<VictoryList> GetVictoryList()
{
string cacheKey = HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name + "victoryCacheKey";
IQueryable<VictoryList> cachednews = (IQueryable<VictoryList>)HttpContext.Current.Cache.Get(cacheKey);
if (cachednews == null)
{
var results = from v in _datacontext.ViewVictoryLists
orderby _datacontext.GetNewId()
select new VictoryList
{
MemberID = v.MemberID,
Username = v.Aspnetusername,
Location = v.Location,
DaimokuGoal = v.DaimokuGoal,
PreviewImageID = v.PreviewImageID,
TotalDaimoku = v.TotalDaimoku,
TotalDeterminations = v.TotalDeterminations,
DeterminationID = v.DeterminationID,
DeterminationName = v.DeterminationName
};
results = results.ToList().AsQueryable();
SqlCacheDependencyAdmin.EnableNotifications(_datacontext.Connection.ConnectionString);
SqlCacheDependency dependency =
new SqlCacheDependency(_datacontext.GetCommand(results) as SqlCommand);
HttpContext.Current.Cache.Insert(cacheKey, results, dependency);
return results;
}
return cachednews;
}
According to the stated Limitations for creating a query for notification, listed at msdn...
The statement must not reference a view.
