there is a script that i want to perrform but i want to ask you something about it.Here is the problem:
I have A and B pages.
(A---->B) According to the searching criterias in A page,it goes to B page in a way of Form Get and brings back Json data. But as Json data comes back to B page, it can't get this data and bind in B page.
When i practise this whole process in page A, in the same way i can get json data in page A and bind them.
$http.get('/B/?' + "destination=" + xxx )
.then(function(result) {
$scope.data = result.data;
});
But in page B, i want to bind json data which goes to A-->B and comes back.How can i do this by using AngularJs. You can see this script by searching hotels in www.expedia.com . Actually what i exactly want to do is available in configuration of expedia's hotel search.
Thank you.
If I get it right, what you want is to have 2 applications (2 ng-app, one on page A and one on page B) and share data using Angular.
This is not directly possible with Angular. Angular is about one page that manage the DOM. But it can have different views (see $route).
This is however possible if you pull data from the server in page A to get the result from page B once you are back to A.
What expedia seems to do is post from page A, receive data on page B and show it on page B.

I have a big data portion that I would like to post in a table. However, the data should be sorted and paginated. I know I am able to pass the whole data to the client at once and then paginate it using angular, but this will be too slow. I prefer to pass the data page-by-page, so one the client want to open a page from a table to load the data for it.
Up until now I have created an API that returns me the data that I need, based on the page number and the number of rows on the page. However, I don't know how to use it with AngularJS.
Can you please help me?
It looks like a backend problem. If you are using a standard restful backend, use the limit/skip parameters, you can encapsulate into a paginate.
Example:
localhost:1337/dataTable?skip=0&limit=100
localhost:1337/dataTable?skip=100&limit=100
localhost:1337/dataTable?skip=200&limit=100
...
On the frontend use a table object like ng-Table, and use the pages to keep track of the offset, the page number and the total items available.
skip = (pagNum - 1 * pageSize)
limit = pageSize
Make your backend return you the page you want plus the available dataNumber so you can build the pages controller.
Documentation for skip/limit on sails

Best approach is to keep track of the limit and offset in your controller. Then when user selects new page (offset) or changes items per page (limit), update the corresponding values and use them to make a new http request.
You could call a function on ng-change of a dropdown and that drop down would contain values of page number and number of records to fetch. Or you can provide two text boxes one for page number other for number of records and keep a button and on its ng-click event that will take value of those text boxes and post to your server and bring back data based on new values in text boxes
I am new to angular and was wondering if I could somehow change states (after clicking on link from a list of search results) and load a new view, hide the old one (including header !), but not unload it/not have to request JSON data again if I got back to the search results for products view from the product details view.
Well, this will be a really short answer.
Take a look at this:
$templateCache You can play around with it so you won't need to reload pages when going back and forth.
i've the following hierarchy structure : Group -> Family -> products -> Product details.
each node is retrieve through an $http service.
i would like the user to be able to drill down until the final product details and i would also like no reloads when the user hits the back button as parents never changes.
i've succeeded to build the first part using routes and it works pefectly but now each time i want to go back the controller of the parent view (last view) is reloaded and i don't know how to avoid this reloading.
i am thinking of changing my way of doing it by having only 1 view (while 4 before) and manage the drill down through a directive, do you think it could be considered as a good practice ? how would you implement this ?
You could check out AngularUI Router, since one of its main feature is the ability to nest states & views.
Have a look at the UI-Router Demo, source code here.
I'm using Google AppEngine as backend and AngularJS as front end for web application I'm making. I'm presenting data in pages to the user.
AppEngine has the ability to select data and return 3 pieces of information: the items selected, indication if there are more items and cursor for the next page.
I need to return all 3 pieces to the client app so it can present the fetched items and allow the user to go to the next page.
I also would like to use ngResource to interact with the server.
The problem is that ngResource expect the list of items to be a list and here it is an object with the 3 pieces.
Is there a way to modify ngResource a bit so that after fetching the data it will use the items to build the array of items?
Not necessarily, ngResource can deal with arrays as well as single item or json object. The standard get operation returns a object whereas query returns array. Bottom line as long it is a valid json data ngResource would work.
You can always call get on the resource, get the data into a json object and then it can have sub-properties which can be of array type.
You can share your specific structure and the community can help you with understand how to access it using ngResource
I am new to pyrocms.
How can I get database values on pages of pyrocms. In website of pyrocms I had created a listing page now I want to display database values from pyro database table.
I got your question, you want to create a listing on your front-end page for some database table values which you want to access through your custom module controller. there are many ways to get these values but the simplest way is to use ajax. you already have Jquery added in pyrocms so you can simply make a call to your controller method in ajax and get your required output as HTML and display it in the div element on your page.
$.ajax({
type:"POST",
url:"admin/your-controller-name/your-method-name",
success:function(html){
$('yourdiv').html(html);
}
})
In your controller create a method which get data from database and print it using echo create some listing table etc what you want.
i think you will get my point. if confuse then get back to me
You need to be more specific as PyroCMS has lots of components and each module (blogs, variables, widgets, file uploads etc.) uses specific tags you insert into the page. You may come across references to 'Lex' - that's the name of the parser used to display them.
Tags documentation
PyroCMS (the Professional edition) also has a feature called "Streams" which allows you to build custom databases and this in turn has it's own series of tags.
