I have setup an array of product values. I need to set each array key to the data-attribute and the value to the data-attribute value
<li data-name="product1" data-price="49.99" data-rating="4.5"></li>
So in Wordpress I have this filter hook
function product_data_sorting( $product_attrs, $product, $terms) {
global $post;
// Product Attributes
$product_attrs['name'] = $post->post_name;
$product_attrs['price'] = $product->price;
$product_attrs['rating'] = $product->get_average_rating();
$product_attrs['newness'] = $post->post_modified;
// Product Categories
foreach ($terms as $term) {
$categories[] = $term->slug;
}
$product_attrs['categories'] = $categories;
foreach ($product_attrs as $attribute) {
if ( is_array($attribute) ) {
//This is a category
}
else {
$results[] = 'data-' . $key . '="' . '$attribute' . '"';
}
}
return $results
}
add_filter( 'add_sorting', 'product_data_sorting', 10, 3 );
I am getting all the correct data pushed in to the $product_attrs array that I need, but not sure how to work with the array key and values so that in the $results array it would be formatted like this:
$results = (data-name="product1", data-price="49.99", data-rating="4.5");
Hope that makes some sense
thanks
You would need key=>value pair within foreach.
$ignored = array ('newness'); // array to maintain what attributes you want to ignore
foreach ($product_attrs as $key => $attribute) {
if ( is_array($attribute) ) {
//This is a category
}
else {
if(!inarray($key, $ignored)
$results[] = 'data-' . $key . '="' . $attribute . '"';
}
}
Also note that $attribute isn't enlcosed in single quotes as you have in the question. Variables inside single quote can not be parsed

I'm trying to extract data from our JSON data based on given output fields, but I'm not getting a good result.
e.g.
Given fields that I want:
Array
(
[0] => id
[1] => name
[2] => email
[3] => optin_email
)
Those fields exist in my datastring, I want to export those to a CSV.
I can do this, hardcoded
foreach ($jsonString as $value) {
$row = [
$value->id,
$value->name,
$value->email,
$value->phone
];
print_r($row);
}
The above will give me the list/file I need. BUT, I want to make that dynamic based on the data in the array, so, fo rexample, when this is the Array:
Array
(
[0] => id
[1] => name
)
This should be my output:
foreach ($jsonString as $value) {
$row = [
$value->id,
$value->name
];
print_r($row);
}
So I need to dynamicly create the
$value->{var}
I have been trying forever, but I am not seeing it straight anymore.
Tried this:
$rowFields = '';
foreach ($export_datafields AS $v) {
$rowFields .= '$value->' . $v . ',';
}
$trimmed_row_fields = rtrim($rowFields, ',');
foreach ($jsonString as $value) {
$row = $trimmed_row_fields;
print_r($row);
}
And several variations of that:
foreach ($jsonString as $value) {
$row = [$trimmed_row_fields];
print_r($row);
}
Question is: how can I get
$value->VAR
as a valid array key when I only know the VAR name and need the prefixed $value-> object.
I ended up using the following code which works for me. If anybody still has the answer to my original question, please shoot. Always good to know it all.
header("Content-type: application/csv");
header("Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=$csvFileName");
header("Pragma: no-cache");
header("Expires: 0");
$new_row = implode(",", $export_datafields) . "\n";
foreach ($jsonString as $value) {
foreach ($export_datafields AS $v) {
$new_row .= $value->$v . ',';
}
$new_row = substr($new_row, 0, -1);
$new_row .= "\n";
}
echo $new_row;
I am currently working on a project (A music website) with PHP Codeigniter. I want to fetch top 15 songs by number of downloads. To my knowledge, I got all unique ID's out ranging from highest to least. But now, I want to use each of these unique ID's to fetch data from another table in the database.
I have tried using for loop; but it seems to only return one of the rows which happens to be the first and highest number of occurrence in the array. The code below echo's the ID's but how can I use each of those ID's to fetch data.
function top15(){
$this->db->select('musiccode');
$result=$this->db->get('downloads');
$query = $result->result_array();
$downloads = array();
if(!empty($query)) {
foreach($query as $row)
{
$musiccode[] = $row['musiccode'];
}
$mode = array_count_values($musiccode);
arsort($mode);
$i = 0;
foreach ($mode as $field => $number) {
$i++;
echo $field." occured ". $number." times <br>";
if ($i == 15) {
break;
}
}
}
}
for ($b=0; $b < count($field); $b++) {
$this->db->where(array('track_musiccode'=> $field));
$field = $this->db->get('tracks');
return $field->result_array();
}
The code above only produce one row for me. I expect to have more than one and according to the number of ID's in the array. Thanks in advance.
For a single column condition, you could use where_in() instead and drop the for loop :
$this->db->where_in('track_musiccode', $field);
$field = $this->db->get('tracks');
return $field->result_array();
Yes Finally i did it. Incase if anyone needs it. this works just fine
function top15(){
$this->db->where('d_month', date('m'));
$this->db->select('musiccode');
$result=$this->db->get('downloads');
$query = $result->result_array();
$downloads = array();
if(!empty($query)) {
foreach($query as $row){
$musiccode[] = $row['musiccode'];
}
$res='';
$count=array_count_values($musiccode);
arsort($count);
$keys=array_keys($count);
for ($i=0; $i < count($keys); $i++) {
$res[] .= "$keys[$i]";
}
$this->db->where_in('track_musiccode', $res);
return $this->db->get('tracks')->result_array();
}
}
And I got this too. If I wasn't going to count occurrences but just iterate the number of downloads which is far more better than counting in other not to over populate the database and make your website work slowly.
function top15(){
$tracks = '';
$this->db->group_by('counter');
$result=$this->db->get('downloads');
$query = $result->result_array();
$counter = '';
$fields = '';
if(!empty($query)) {
foreach($query as $row) {
$counter[] = $row['counter'];
}
rsort($counter);
for ($i=0; $i<=15; $i++) {
$this->db->where('downloads.counter', $counter[$i]);
$this->db->join('tracks', 'tracks.musicid = downloads.musicid');
$fields[] = $this->db->get('downloads')->row_array();
}
return $fields;
}
}
Enjoy...
I wrote a function where I get array of marks that i need to post to my database..
My function stores it in a filed row like:
And I need to pull just one per column individually like:
Here is my api call..
public function generate(Map $seatMap)
{
$layout = $seatMap->getSeatLayout();
$seats = [];
$layoutArray = json_decode($layout, true);
$columns = range('A', 'Z');
foreach($layoutArray as $index => $result)
{
$columnLetter = $columns[$index];
$letters = str_split($result);
$letterIndex = 1;
foreach($letters as $letterIndex => $letter) {
switch($letter) {
case 'e':
$seats[] = $columnLetter . $letterIndex;
$letterIndex++;
}
}
}
foreach($seats as $seat => $result) {
$result = new Seat();
$result->setName(json_encode($seats));
$this->em->persist($result);
$this->em->flush();
}
}
Any suggestions?
I think that problem is in the part where I need to store it to database..
If I understand you correctly, your issue is here:
foreach($seats as $seat => $result) {
$result = new Seat();
$result->setName(json_encode($seats));
$this->em->persist($result);
$this->em->flush();
}
}
You're indeed creating new Seat instance for every seat, but in this line:
$result->setName(json_encode($seats));
you still assign all (encoded) seats to every instance of Seat. What you want is to assign only the seat from current loop iteration, which is represented by $result variable.
So try with:
$result->setName($result);
You do not need json_encode here too.
If your array is like you say it it then try this
foreach($seats as $seat) {
$result = new Seat();
$result->setName($seat);
$this->em->persist($result);
$this->em->flush();
}
in my database, I have tables created by some plugins. I need to show only my models in a dropdown list.
in bootstrap.php:
Configure::write('ReportManager.modelIgnoreList',array(
'acl_phinxlog',
'acos',
'aros',
'aros_acos',
'audits',
'burzum_file_storage_phinxlog',
'burzum_user_tools_phinxlog',
'cake_d_c_users_phinxlog',
'file_storage',
'phinxlog',
));
In my controller index function:
if (empty($this->data)) {
$modelIgnoreList = Configure::read('ReportManager.modelIgnoreList');
$models = ConnectionManager::get('default')->schemaCollection()->listTables();
foreach($models as $key => $model) {
if ( isset($modelIgnoreList) && is_array($modelIgnoreList)) {
foreach ($modelIgnoreList as $ignore) {
if (isset($models[$ignore])) {
unset($models[$ignore]);
$modelData = TableRegistry::get($model);
debug($modelData);
}
}
}
}
debug($modelIgnoreList);
}
In index.ctp:
echo $this->Form->create('ReportManager');
echo '<fieldset>';
echo '<legend>' . __d('report_manager','New report',true) . '</legend>';
echo $this->Form->input('model',array(
'type'=>'select',
'label'=>__d('report_manager','Model',true),
'options'=>$models,
'empty'=>__d('report_manager','--Select--',true)
));
My result keeps showing all the tables. Where is my mistake ?
You are calling unset using the model name, not the key. Also, you don't need two foreach loops here.
$models = ConnectionManager::get('default')->schemaCollection()->listTables();
if (isset($modelIgnoreList) && is_array($modelIgnoreList)) {
foreach($models as $key => $model) {
if (in_array($model, $modelIgnoreList)) {
unset($models[$key]);
}
}
}
Or, even simpler, use the built-in functionality to handle this for you:
$models = ConnectionManager::get('default')->schemaCollection()->listTables();
if (isset($modelIgnoreList) && is_array($modelIgnoreList)) {
$models = array_diff($models, $modelIgnoreList);
}
i would like to use this simple image slider for the joomgallery for my art students:
https://github.com/danielhpavey/joomgallery-slider
the only problem is the ordering. how do i get an ascending image ordering by id and not by filename ?
thanks peter
<?php
class images
{
public function __construct()
{
$file = JPATH_ROOT. '/components/com_joomgallery/interface.php';
if(!file_exists($file)){
JError::raiseError(500, 'JoomGallery seems not to be installed');
} else {
require_once $file;
$this ->interface = new JoomInterface();
}
}
public function getFirstImage()
{
$images = $this ->talkToJoomgallery();
return $images[0];
}
public function getImages()
{
$images = $this ->talkToJoomgallery();
return $images;
}
public function talkToJoomgallery()
{
$images = $this ->interface ->getPicsByCategory( $this ->categoryid );
$imagepath = $this ->joomgalleryImagePath();
$theimages = array();
$c = 0;
foreach ($images as $i){
$theimages[$c]= array(
'imgpath' => JURI::base() . $imagepath . $i->catpath . '/' . $i->imgfilename
,'imgtitle' => $i->imgtitle
,'imgtext' => $i->imgtext
);
$c ++;
}
shuffle($theimages);
return $theimages;
}
private function joomgalleryImagePath()
{
return $this ->interface ->getJConfig( 'jg_pathoriginalimages' );
}
public function __set($property, $value){
$this->$property = $value;
}
}
Your images are loaded according to image id only but this command is reindexing the array i.e shuffle($theimages);
You can comment out that line by
//shuffle($theimages)
Also for ordering images you can change this line in helper.php file
$images = $this->interface->getPicsByCategory($this->categoryid);
to
$images = $this->interface->getPicsByCategory($this->categoryid,null,'ordering' );
This will do the ordering of images the way you did drag and drop of images at the joomla administrator backend.
UPDATE AS PER YOUR LATEST QUERY
Suppose you want to add a param value (sorting) that can be controlled through admin. You ned to change the xml file mod_joomgallery_slider.xml
Just add a new field like this
<field
name = "sorting"
type = "radio"
label = "Sorting"
description = "Sort by Ordering or random"
default = "ordering"
>
<option value = "ordering">Ordering</option>
<option value = "rand()">Random</option>
</field>
Next to get the param in helper.php file then change the function talkToJoomgallery() like this
public function talkToJoomgallery()
{
//Externally calling a module param
jimport( 'joomla.html.parameter' );
jimport( 'joomla.application.module.helper' );
$module = JModuleHelper::getModule('mod_joomgallery_slider');
$moduleParams = new JRegistry();
$moduleParams->loadString($module->params);
$sorting = $moduleParams->get( 'sorting' );
$images = $this ->interface ->getPicsByCategory( $this ->categoryid,null,$sorting );
$imagepath = $this ->joomgalleryImagePath();
$theimages = array();
$c = 0;
foreach ($images as $i){
$theimages[$c]= array(
'imgpath' => JURI::base() . $imagepath . $i->catpath . '/' . $i->imgfilename
,'imgtitle' => $i->imgtitle
,'imgtext' => $i->imgtext
);
$c ++;
}
//var_dump($theimages); exit;
//shuffle($theimages);
return $theimages;
}
UPDATE: To display 2 slider modules on a single page.
Some files needs to changed:
In mod_joomgallery_slider.php file change this line at top
include('helper.php');
To
include_once('helper.php');
This ensures that the file is included once.
Another change will be to remove the function imageText in default.php and including it in helper.php class else a function redeclaration error will be thrown. But now the default.php file still give error, as function imageText will be not defined, but you already added that function to helper.php. So default.php will only work if you change
echo imageText( $i, $params );
To
echo $image->imageText( $i, $params );// You are calling helper object
Remember to change in both if and else conditions.
