A friend of mine was interviewing for a data warehouse and Business Object role But he was asked about the Manhattan database?
I have Googled "Manhattan database" and even searched for it on Bing and Yahoo but have found no relevant information.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Perhaps this? Manhattan Data Warehouse

manhattan is the distributed db from twitter
https://blog.twitter.com/2014/manhattan-our-real-time-multi-tenant-distributed-database-for-twitter-scale

The closest thing may be Microsoft project Madison, which is an auto-scalable data-warehouse appliance. The interviewer may have mixed-up Manhattan with Madison (Square Garden) which happens to be located in Manhattan.
Or, maybe he/she did it on purpose to see how good was your friend at data cleaning and conforming. :)

I have knowledge of sql-server but i am trying to learn Sybase, I need some basic help in that, please ignore if my questions are too silly.
Where can i get this database (sybase) for practice, I went on the official site, but it asks me to fill lot of details, is it changeable ?
2.Can you please suggest a basic book for this?
How different is it form SQL-Server?
For a free product it's the least you can do to fill in a form
No. I learnt from online help.
SQL Server was actually built from Sybase many years ago back at version 6.0 (maybe 25 years ago) but has now of course branched off. You'll find a lot of the functions are the same.

My task is to conduct a study on artificial intelligence that answer maybe just 20 questions.
I tried to look for a study and term papers on google and i'm having a hard time to find some related literature to start my study.
My knowledge on artificial intelligence is small.
Where can i find some related literature for the said study? My goal is just to make an AI that answer question related to processes that our school conduct. Please be easy on me. I know that i'm a noob.
Read this : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_language_processing
And build from there. You can use Google Scholar to find actual scientific papers once you've found the keywords you want.

I am new to database schema design and I want to learn more about how a well-designed database scheme is implemented in the real world?
Is there any places to find those schemes? Or is there any book focused on explanation over examples.
DatabaseAnswers.org (unfortunately now defunct) but well-preserved in the Wayback Machine is a great source of example database schemas.
I can also recommend Beginning Database Design, published by Apress. I own this book and can confirm that it is of high quality. The book looks at a number of real world scenarios and explains the impact a certain design decision could have on the way the database works and the quality of the data and its output.
Finally I would advise building some small databases (E.G. contact management, Task list etc). Start by specifying some basic requirements and create some tables and queries. You WILL make some mistakes which is the best way of learning.
Here is a nice library of schemas to browse through.

I would like to know if there are good tutorials for Microsoft Sharepoint. Specifically solutions that involves routing documents for approval. Use of Microsoft Infopath for form making and Microsoft SQL Server for the database is needed. What I meant by good is that the quality that they possess is similar to the video tutorials of asp.net learn section. Any help in this matter will be great. Thanks in advance.
this is a great video on the workflow part of your question. He has other video's on InfoPath, etc but I haven't had time to watch them yet.

I don't know if the term SQL designer is correct, I'm looking for a graphic tool where you can do something like:
BOH http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/732/designerqsw.jpg
then it can generate the SQL code for the creation of the tables. Any hint?
How about DBDesigner 4. It runs under Linux & Windows and is licensed under the GPL.
(source: fabforce.net)
I think that DBDesigner don't draw links precisely between the rows in relation, as the bad "SQL Designer" do !
I'm also looking for this kind of tool, but without the bugs who squat SQL Designer.
