IMPORTANT: Remove this line from json2.js before deployment - silverlight

I have an ASP.NET app in which I've used Vertigo's SlideShow 2 silverlight image gallery component. All was working well and the app went through testing and suddenly, after a recent deployment I get an alert box that says:
IMPORTANT: Remove this line from json2.js before deployment.
This pops up after the Silverlight component loads but then the SlideShow2 xap file seems to work fine after that.
Anyone have any ideas on why this would just start happening? I've done some research and can't come up with much and it's pretty mysterious that it just started happening. I've not directly used json2.js in this application nor have I customized the Slideshow 2 component in any way.
It also happens both in my dev and production environments.

Don't link to json.js OR json2.js directly from json.org. It is bad etiquette, it uses their bandwidth for your site.
Copy the file to your own server, remove the line, and redeploy.
p.s. what are you using silverlight for at onlinebootycall.com? Curious... ;)

In doing more research (and taking a step back to evaluate my environment), the implementation of SlideShow2 I am using is a modified one from an opensource CodePlex project. This particular version supports streaming images and albums from Picasa's web albums. The version I'm using is located here: http://slideshow2picasa.codeplex.com/. In checking out their online dmeos they exhibit the same behavior so obviously this implementation is linking to the json2.js file on your servers as a means to interact with Picasa web.
Today I'll take at their code and see if I can rely on a local copy fo json2.js.

2SXC/DNN - Delete ADAM Files in Entity

We're designing a system for a client where they are allowing authenticated users to upload images. We've created an API to upload the files but the client only wants the latest file and delete all previous ones so that there would only ever be one.
We've looked through the docs and can't come across a way for ADAM to handle this in both 2SXC and DNN's file system.
Internally when deleting images we see API calls like the following to the internal 2SXC API, but we're wondering if this is exposed somewhere within the public API?

We could probably use the same endpoint above, but we'd likely run into permission issues or changes to the APIs that could be problematic.

As a solution from a completely different direction, if you are on the later release of 2sxc (v12.8+, v13+), and comfortable programming in C#, you might consider doing this as a "cleanup" from a Dnn Scheduled Task. This can be done with a relatively easy setup. We have a Gist in place that we use as a starter. You simply put the code in the /App_Code folder then setup a normal Dnn Scheduled Task. NOTE that you can scroll down to the first comment on the Gist to see a screenshot of a complete working setup.

There are two more key things to note:
You need to install Dnn's CodeDom 3.6 because the example uses the later versions C#'s string interpolation - OR remove the few $"ASL2021 - {this.GetType().Name}, Task Scheduled Email", bits or convert to string.Format() or something.
Since your task's code is NOT running in a (2sxc) module, if needed, you'll do stuff like this: 2sxc Docs - Use 2sxc Instance or App Data from External C# Code
So, if you are comfortable writing code that "finds and deletes stuff older than NN days" - this might be the way to go.

Codename One Reverse Engineer Android Package

I have an android app on Google Play, from which I have lost the original files. I had everything on my computer, and usually I backup everything, but somehow I lost the project.
So, I have downloaded the APK from my Google Play Console, but the contents inside don't resemble in any way the structure of the original project. There is a Classes.dex file/ folder inside the package, which I can't seem to be able to open.
Is there a - relatively - easy way to reverse engineer the package and get the original projeckt back?

While there are tools to reverse engineer an Android project you won't have much to salvage. You can see some of that discussion here: decompiling DEX into Java sourcecode
But here are a few things about Codename One. I'll start with the good news: The res file will be intact.
If you didn't use CSS you can just take the res file "as is" and it should work just fine.
The bad news is that everything else is obfuscated by default. That means that all classes will be named with names such as a. So would all the methods etc. You might be able to salvage some code from that but not much.

Away3D & AwayPhysics: Content uses capabilities that require a license

Just grabbed all the Away3D branches from Github and included them in a test project I created in FlashBuilder. All runs fine, but if I run any of the files from the ‘awayphysics-examples-fp11’ collection, I get this dreaded message,
I’ve searched here and on Google, with Away3D included, for this message, but nothing relevant came up, so I’m sorry if this is already a known issue.
Is this just something I’ve just got to accept if I want to use Away3D and AwayPhysics?
The branches I'm getting the problem with are away3d-core-fp11, awayphysics-core-fp11 and awayphysics-examples-fp11.
And just to say, I understand Adobe's new models which stipulate that you must get a license to use both shared memory space (Alchemy and the like) and Stage3D. I'm questioning if there's a way to use Away3D and AwayPhysics without the Alchemy element, a lá (I've just found out) jiglibflash.

Stubborn Silverlight Caching Issue?

Bear with a bit me before jumping straight to the normal caching fix solutions. Here's what happening:
I have a project, a single project out of dozens in our solution that appears to be refusing to update its code when I build and run. It's not part of the xap, but a dll sitting along side the xap.
Things I've already determined not a solution:
I've checked the output of its dll and it has been built, and its contents updated to match my code, verified with dotPeek. But it refuses to display the updated code.
I clean, rebuild the solution, and restart the dev server but it refuses to display the updated code.
I switch to a different browser, no dice.
I clear browser cache's to no avail.
I completely delete my local code and do a fresh fetch from our repository, again, no love from silverlight.
I have not been without a little success though. The ONE bone I've been thrown was over the weekend. Not touching it for a couple days, I came back to work on Monday and, without having done anything to it, it just updated. Now, however, it's cached again, or something, because it's stuck in the last set of changes I made to it.
So my question is this: What am I missing?
Most likely your files may be read only and MS Build fails to display error message and it does not update files. In case if you have mistakenly checked in your .xap files, then this is possible, you will have to remove it from your source control and also make .xap file writable by removing readonly checkbox.
Visual Studio checks in your .xap files by mistake and silverlight build does not report any error.
Second, do you have any other file backup service installed like Shadow copy or Dropbox kind of online backup service, something is probably making xap files readonly and that is causing this problem.

Multiple file upload compatible with Internet Explorer

I would like to have an upload control on an intranet website, which needs to support multiple file upload. Drag and drop is not required, I just want to select a lot of files (in hundreds, possibly) for processing on the server. After the uploads are complete the user will be redirected to another page where he'll be able to process the results.
I'd also like to support other browsers, but IE is the most important as most of the customers use it as per their IT policy and it cannot be changed. Their computers are restricted enough and Silverlight might be the way as it's official Microsoft plugin, compared with Flash.
I would like to have a form with a “Browse” button which allows the user to pick files, then the file names are added to a list and “Upload” button that starts the upload to a server side code that saves the file somewhere and redirects the user to the next page.
I think that I should use Silverlight for IE7/8/9 and HTML5 for Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Opera (and IE10, eventually). That would mean coding two separate (html5+silverlight) front-ends and one common back-end on the server.
I know that Telerik has something exactly like this and works, but it's too expensive as I need only one control of their library.
Is there something open-source that works this way? Or is there a better and simpler way to support IE and HTML5 file-compliant browsers?
Silverlight will work in all the browsers, so that's the way to go (right now). After IE 10 comes out, then HTML-5 might be a better choice.
flash is the solution, as flash 7 was shipped by default in windows xp.
but in the end something's got to give, it professionals will have to say no to corporations that have operating systems older than 10 years.

I know this post is a bit older, but have you looked at pulpload or even uploadify? Both provide HTML5 and Flash versions.
Pulpload is somewhat more versatile, it seems, but I have implemented uploadify a few times, and the docs are ... good enough (I think version 3 of uploadify is much better, but I don't have experience implementing it, yet).
