I want to prompt the user to use the Open Stream api. When I call showPermissionDialog, the code executes fine, but nothing pops up. I know you can't put HTML in a Silverlight app, but the popup should show up on top of the Silverlight app. Is this possible? If so, how?
Here's my code:
In MainPage.xaml.cs:
((HtmlPage.Window.GetProperty("FB") as ScriptObject)
.GetProperty("Connect") as ScriptObject)
.Invoke("showPermissionDialog", "publish_stream");
I also tried
HtmlPage.Window.Invoke("ShowFBPermissionsDialog"); (in MainPage.xaml.cs)
with
<script type="text/javascript">
function ShowFBPermissionsDialog() {
FB.Connect.showPermissionDialog("publish_stream");
}
</script>
in Site.master.
I don't know how to set a Z-index on the permissions dialog since that is generated by Facebook.
There are no error messages.
Put
<param name="windowless" value="true"/>
into your Silverlight object tag and then use CSS Z order to position.
You can use a negative z order for the Silverlight object and the div it's in.

Salesforce interaction/console methods not executed after redirecting to other URL in CTI console softphone. I have mapped the CTI Adapter URL(for ex: http://domain1:port1/xyz/test.jsp) in softphone layouts of the call center, the interaction/console methods get executed on that particular page.
Method Like :
sforce.interaction.runApex(...);
On click event I redirect to some other URL (for ex: http://domain1:port2/abc/test1.jsp) on this page interaction/console methods not executed.
Methods Like :
sforce.console.setCustomConsoleComponentPopoutable(...);
sforce.interaction.runApex(...);
On console - "Service Cloud Toolkit API cannot be used with your browser" appears after page redirects.
Please help with the scenario
This error is caused by the validation of sfdcOriginIframe and nounce properties when sending out the window message to the top window.
Actually this two properties are populated from the window.location.search field once the softphone loaded.this search field goes like :
?sfdcIFrameOrigin=https%3A%2F%2Fap5.salesforce.com&nonce=3c1d1c360732e6754323247e711324b86d027c3c2809abb163754069d02365c5&isAdapterUrl=true&
I think they come from the src of the iframe tag
<iframe
id="SoftphoneIframe"
name="SoftphoneIframe"
allow="camera *; geolocation *; microphone *"
src="/loadSoftphone.html?sfdcIFrameOrigin=https%3A%2F%2Fap5.salesforce.com&nonce=3c1d1c360732e6754323247e711324b86d027c3c2809abb163754069d02365c5&isAdapterUrl=true"
style="display: block;"
width="100%"
height="650"
frameborder="0"
></iframe>
if you redirect the location of your softphone frame, the search field is gone, and you can't use any methodes in interaction.js anymore.
so maybe there are two approaches to resolve this problem:
retain your search field in a hidden field and bring it ot your next page as a searchQuery string;
refresh your top window just before you redirect your softphone
sforce.interaction.refreshPage();
Finally I used the second solution to fix my problem.

I have spent 2 hours + on the lightbox. I have checked paths to CSS and Javascript. I have used both the included jquery and Google's imported JQuery.
When I click an image it opens a new window with that image larger on a white background. I want it to overlay the current page with <> and x.
You can see an example: http://demopbdesignsource.tierstrategies.com/a.aspx
Thanks
Looking at your code on your page I do not see where you are calling the lightbox.js script - that needs to be called right before the body close tag.
Also lightbox help states : If you already use jQuery on your page, make sure it is loaded before lightbox.js. - ◦Include the Javascript at the bottom of your page before the closing /body tag:
I used the lightbox-plus-jquery.js and called that just before the close of the body tag and it worked. I called the lightbox-plus-jquery.js just before the close of the body tag because it has both jquery and lightbox combined.
I am still working on the page and I am just using html not .net but the lightbox would work the same. If you look at my source you will see the script call right before /body tag.

Hope this helps.

You need to call the Lightbox script.
Something like
Placing it in the line before the line works for me.
Both
http://demopbdesignsource.tierstrategies.com/X/LightBox.css
and
http://demopbdesignsource.tierstrategies.com/X/LightBox.js
cannot be found.
The link provided in the question is giving 404 right now.
but I think you just need to follow the steps given at
http://lokeshdhakar.com/projects/lightbox2/
to set up lightbox.
you may have missed either of the following :
Include the CSS at the top of your page in your <head> tag:
<link href="path/to/lightbox.css" rel="stylesheet">
Include the Javascript at the bottom of your page before the closing </body> tag:
<script src="path/to/lightbox.js"></script>
I have a <div> in my HTML page. What I need to do is, add <ul> element inside it from my Entry point class. I have tried from onModuleLoad function using below code,
UListElement ul=Document.get().createULElement();
ImageElement img=Document.get().createImageElement();
img.setSrc("\\images\\personas");
LIElement li=Document.get().createLIElement();
li.appendChild(img);
ul.appendChild(li);
Document.get().getElementById("divPhotos").appendChild(ul);
but my <div> is empty/has no childs when i run it. what am I missing here?
Your code is okay assuming you have correctly assigned the "divPhotos" id to a div in your HTML DOM. I suspect that you are viewing the page source and expecting to see the newly appended DOM elements. What you want to view is the pages live DOM. How you inspect the DOM in depends on the web browser you are using. if your using Google Chrome, press F12 to access the debugging tools which will allow you to transverse the live DOM. For Firefox, you need to install Firebug. Other browsers provide their own debugging mechanisms.
I have forgot to add nocache.js in html page.
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="test/test.nocache.js"></script>
Its working now...
I'm working to customize liferay's Calendar portlet and have created a hook for this.
I want to show all the "Related Assets" associated with a Calendar Event directly in the list page itself where all the Events are displayed instead of the Event's detail view page.
Currently liferay shows the "Related Assets" only when we click on the Event to view the details of that Event.
Can anyone help me?
Environment: Liferay 6.1
Thanks a lot
Sabrina
I assume you already have liferay's source code and you know how to create a hook.
The JSPs you would be modifying would be in this path:
portal-web/docroot/html/portlet/calendar
So here are some steps to help you solve your query:
You need to modify the event_iterator.jspf: row.addText(event.getTitle(), rowURL);
You have to adjust the following code taken from view_event.jsp in event_iterator.jspf.
<%
AssetEntry layoutAssetEntry = AssetEntryLocalServiceUtil.getEntry(CalEvent.class.getName(), event.getEventId());
%>
<%-- <liferay-util:buffer> is a tag which stores all that is written inside
its body in a single variable string, in this case "relatedAssetsLinksBuffer"
--%>
<liferay-util:buffer var="relatedAssetsLinksBuffer">
<c:if test="<%= enableRelatedAssets %>">
<%=event.getTitle() %>
<div class="entry-links">
<liferay-ui:asset-links
assetEntryId="<%= layoutAssetEntry.getEntryId() %>"
/>
</div>
</c:if>
</liferay-util:buffer>
Now the line in step-1 becomes: row.addText(relatedAssetsLinksBuffer, rowURL);
I have not tried this but I think it would work or will atleast give you some help in solving your query.
Tip for Hooks (might be useful in future):
Liferay follows a convention in storing its JSPs, so for custom-jsps Hook (i.e. a hook created for modifying liferay's JSP) you just need to search for that particular JSP & modify it.
For Eg: You wanted to modify the first page of calendar portlet. So liferay portlet's first page is always view.jsp located in the folder with the same name as the portlet-name in this case "Calendar" and view.jsp will contain some tags like <%# include /> or <liferay-util:include /> which would include other files to show the content. So you can always start with a view.jsp and navigate ahead. By the way the names of the JSPs are also most of the time self-explanatory.
Hope this helps.
Im using the WebBrowser control to launch and browse some html files loaded locally in the windows phone 7 emulator and device. All works fine until a web page navigation with a query string us used. The javascript needs to read these query strings but the navigation totally fails when the query string is included. The navigation works fine without the query string.
Im big time stuck on this and would really appreciate your thoughts.
Tony
I too can't find a way to pass a query string to a local HTML file. (I copied the HTML file to Isolated Storage and viewed it from there.)
However...
I can successfully navigate to a local HTML file and specify a fragment. And it even works if the fragment includes equals signs (=) and ampersands (&) so you can do this:
webBrowser1.Navigate(new Uri("index.html#123=abc&456=def", UriKind.Relative));
And get the value with the following
<html>
<head>
<script type="text/javascript">
function onLoad() {
fs.innerHTML = document.location.href.split("#")[1];
}
</script>
</head>
<body onload="onLoad()" >
<p id="fs" />
</body>
</html>
to display the following on the page (in the browser control).
123=abc&456=def
(Obviously you could do something more appropriate with the value in javascript as necessary.)
Yes, you can just use the fragent like the querystring.
This, obviously, works fine as long as you don't need to use both.
You need a webserver if you pass a querystring.
This is because the browser does not know what is a query string in difference of another file. It only thinks the file is named "file.html?param=value" search this file and does not find it locally.
So locally without a webserver it is impossible.
Solutions
Spawn a tiny webserver locally.
Hack some js to know when it is local and replace all links with query string to hashtags
