No space for sagemaker Studio lab to upload or download file - amazon-sagemaker

The SageMaker studio lab FAQ says there are 15GB space for each user, but I can't even upload or download a 900MB DataSet.
When I upload or download it, return
Unexpected error while saving file: sagemaker-studiolab-notebooks/preprocessed20152019.zip [Errno 2]
No such file or directory:
'/home/studio-lab-user/sagemaker-studiolab-notebooks/.~preprocessed20152019.zip'
-> '/home/studio-lab-user/sagemaker-studiolab-notebooks/preprocessed20152019.zip'
and sometimes it returned "no space for device".

are you still seeing this error? You may need to delete and recreate your account, checkout also this issue on GitHub https://github.com/aws/studio-lab-examples/issues/94

Failed while trying to upload file to snowflake

I registered a snowflake trail account and I tried to upload local file to snowflake. following the tutorial https://docs.snowflake.net/manuals/user-guide/data-load-internal-tutorial.html
I am on windows platform and it is failing when I run the put command.
https://docs.snowflake.net/manuals/user-guide/getting-started-tutorial-stage-data-files.html
The error is
john#MYWAREHOUSE#MYDATABASE.PUBLIC>put file://c:\temp\load\contacts*.csv #my_csv_stage auto_compress=true;
Unable to parse config file: C:\Users\john/.aws/credentials
Could you please help on that?
You might be trying to upload a file to a S3 stage for which you don't have the proper credentials.
Try to run this instead -
put file://c:\temp\load\contacts*.csv #~ auto_compress=true;

Cannot install appx through graphic installer

I'm facing a problem right now and I don't really know how to get more informations about it.
I've converted a desktop application through Microsoft's Desktop App Converter, made some manual modifications about the visual assets, and rebundled it through "makeappx.exe". Then I signed it.
Everything went fine. Except that when I double click the appx to check it, I have the following window:
Appx Error
Which roughly translates as "Couldn't open the appx or appxbundle file" and "Reason: Failure caused by an unknown reason".
This does not helps me a lot :/
However, if I try to install the package through a simple "Add-appxpackage MyPackage.appx", it works perfectly fine.
Could anyone help me find some leads on what's happening here? I've already checked the event viewer as explained here but I couldn't find anything unusual.
Thanks,
Skefrep
It seems the Microsoft team has taken notice of this problem and investigated this appropriately.
-Here is their solution-
The problem can be because when you convert an app with DesktopBridge the resources are signed with the manifest info and store that info in the .pri files you found in PackageFiles folder. Later, when you change something like the Publisher or the Name this signature doesn't match. To fix this you only need to recreate the .pri files.
rm *.pri. Remove the old .pri files.
cd C:\foo\PackageFiles\. Change current directory to the PackageFiles folder. This step is important for the next step.
makepri createconfig /cf priconfig.xml /dq en-US. Create a configuration file for the resources.
makepri new /pr "C:\foo\PackageFiles" /cf "C:\foo\PackageFiles\priconfig.xml". Generate the new *.pri files.
Then you can make the package as usual: MakeAppx, etc.
You can find more information about this problem in "Failed due to unknown reasons" error when you try to sideload a Desktop Bridge app - App Consult Team.

what does "Connecting to database specified by database.yml" in the log file mean?

I'm working on a Rails 3.2.9 app , on performing a certain action, the app doesnt go any further and when i chech the log file i get this line to be the last in the log
Connecting to database specified by database.yml
I have no idea what's causing this problem.. When i sign up or sign in also it needs to connect to db and it works fine then.. only when a function (called execute test case) is clicked, the app doesnt go further and freezes there itself..
Please help me if you have come across this ...or suggest what may be the cause!!
Check this answer. This may help you.
Rails Connecting to database specified by database.yml
I found the cause of this error.. Problem is when the gem ‘mysql2’ is installed for the app , it might not be the one compatible with the version of MySQL server that is installed in our machine. And also a corresponding libmysql.dll file to be copied to Ruby folder.
So install the gem by specifying the local directory of Mysql
1.In the cmd,
gem install mysql2 -- --with-mysql-dir=C:\Program Files\MySQL
As directed in the cmd, follow the link to download the dll. Extract the zip from that location and copy the file as instructed in cmd
If the zip is empty or the link shows file not exist.(which does happen for some versions!!)
--> Go to the link and follow the flow in the url.. Like the website.. http://dev.mysql.com ->downloads -> MySQL Connectors -> MySQL Connector/C -> the latest version zips are displayed.. Choose the one with the exact file name as in the empty zip/broken link. If not click on previous GA versions and find the according zip file. Download, extract and copy the libmysql.dll to Ruby’s bin folder

Server giving 404 not found

I am deploying a spring application which contains files with around 100000 entries. Each row in the file has about 23 chars.
The app deploys fine when a file has 100000 entries but when I increase the contents to 400000 entries, when I access my app url I get a 404 Not found error.
I need to figure out what causes the crash ( whether a memory problem or something else ) but I do not see anything erroneous in the tomcat log files, using the command vmc files [app_name] tomcat/logs/catalina.... just info messages related to server startup.
Are there other options to debug the issue?
Thanks,
Cristian
I would look into what Dan has mentioned! Also can you look at the logs folder to see if the files there give more information.
vmc logs <app-name>
or
vmc files <app-name> logs/stderr.log
vmc files <app-name> logs/stdout.log
Okay, the application was using too much memory, as a result the Java processes was being destroyed causing the router to return a 404 when trying to route to the application.

Problem installing Google App Engine from MSI

I downloaded Python and installed it, and when I go download GoogleAppEngine_1.2.0.msi and try to install it and I get this error:
This installation package could not be
opened. Contact the application
vendor to verify that this is a valid
Windows Installer package.
Am I forgetting something? I am assuming this is pretty simple.
I had the same error. The file downloaded by IE was about 190k and would not run. The file ought to be 2.7M. Firefox downloads correctly. Also IE will download correctly if you select RUN instead of SAVE. That is my experience and I now have the SDK installed. I hope this helps you.
Download it again and try to install the newly downloaded file. Maybe the file was damaged during download or not completely downloaded which can both happen sometimes.
If this does not help and the same error message appears you could control the checksum which should be
5ea87b8ed3011a5f55a9135c96abe96b6a6fd48b
for this file.
When you are sure that the downloaded file is ok, check if the version of your operating system is supported.
Maybe installing the Windows installer could help?

If not, try out on another machine or inside a virtual machine.
