I tried to run React Native android simulator via expo on my android
I've been encountering this error this past 24 hours
Error: connect ETIMEDOUT 104.197.216.164:443
at TCPConnectWrap.afterConnect [as oncomplete] (net.js:1141:16)
and on my android , it said "something went wrong , network response timed out"
I've upgrade expo version both in my PC and Android
idk what else to do
since I can't find any solution for this online
Can anyone help please ?
some times the expo server is down,
it can be solve ,
try again later
you have (access denied 403) error . It means it have problem with your region. you need to change your IP to another region with VPN or VPS or Proxy.
Check your internet connection for your device, then run the command expo start again.

This is my first time making react project.
After I run my project with npm run start, I can connect to it via localhost:3000 and 127.0.0.1:3000 without any problem.
But when I try to connect it with my LAN address on the same computer it shows
Could Not Connect
Description: Could not connect to the requested server host.
It also shown an error on browser console.
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 502 (internal error - server connection terminated)
This same project can be open via ip4 if I run it on my laptop. I can even open it from my mobile in the same wifi.
My computer is own by company so I think something might block it.
Please give me your suggestions on how to fix this problem. What could possibly cause this problem.
Any insight would be helpful.
Thank you.
Run HOST=0.0.0.0 npm run start
Check your IP. <your-ip>:3000 would work.
https://create-react-app.dev/docs/advanced-configuration/ for setting HOST environment variables.
am new to React native Expo I need to add some new modules on my project. "expo": "33.0.0", "react": "16.8.3", whenever I try to run my project am getting Error am not able to run the project. I tried all way to run the project like set REACT_NATIVE_PACKAGER_HOSTNAME='192.168.0.102', firewall off, allowed inbound 19000 port etc. but am getting error.
when I enter expo start -c
Your project may not work correctly until you install the correct versions of the packages.
To install the correct versions of these packages, please run: expo install [package-name ...]
Starting Metro Bundler on port 19001.
Your JavaScript transform cache is empty, rebuilding (this may take a minute).
Your native app is running at exp9c305c55e38f4d0e856f59397620314e://192.168.0.101:19000
Logs for your project will appear below. Press Ctrl+C to exit.
then my laptop and mobile is connected with same network and same IP but am getting error and i don't know the port 19000 is different from my wifi
Uncaught Error:java.net.SocketTimeoutException:failed to connect to/192.168.1.20(port 19000)from/192.168.0.102(port 49615) after 10000ms
Please give some solution for it.
It's failing because port 19000 is not open in your firewall. If you use linux OS open this port by running:
sudo ufw allow 19000/tcp
enter image description hereFirst Check are you in tunnel connection?
If you are in tunnel connection then
First : ipconfig
then : set REACT_NATIVE_PACKAGER_HOSTNAME=192.168.1.103 (IPv4 Address)
then:npm start
It worked for me. Hopefully it will help.
I resolved this by changing the network profile on the connected wifi from private to public.
Expo Error Fix
I am developing a MEAN application. When I use localhost for local development the app is running fine on http://localhost:3300 when Internet is there but throws below error when the Internet is disconnected.
process.nextTick(function() { throw err; })
^
Error: getaddrinfo ENOENT
at Object.exports._errnoException (util.js:746:11)
at errnoException (dns.js:49:15)
at GetAddrInfoReqWrap.onlookup [as oncomplete] (dns.js:94:26)
[nodemon] app crashed - waiting for file changes before starting...
Can anyone help me resolving this strange issue? As app is on localhost,it should not have any dependency on Internet.
My MongoDB connection is on mongodb://localhost:27017.
Thanks!
Try changing all localhost occurrences with 127.0.0.1
Had the same problem. Turns out without an active internet connection localhost cannot be resolved into a valid IP.
Make your own local network.
I don't know the exact reason why this is happening. But I noticed that if your pc is not assigned an IP address it will produce this error.
So what I did was, I turned my portable wifi hotspot on and re-run the app and whoa! It worked! That hotspot assigned an IP address to my pc. So, it simply means you should be connected to any network. It can be your mobile hotspot too.
I am getting error "Error:device" on blackberry 10 developers device. I get this error when I am installing the unsigned .bar file to the device.
It was working fine earlier but suddenly it started showing this error.
I tried to reboot the device, but still getting same error.
Which development environment/SDK are you using to get this error? Native/WebWorks/Air/Android.
Please tag your question according to the SDK to ensure you get a prompt response. Example (blackberry-webworks)
had to disable Automatic in USB mode to deploy from a linux host ...
