Have had prawn successfully running and generating pdfs in an application for the last 4 years without any issue. Files are being generated and downloaded from the application onto local machine successfully but when trying to open file getting the following error:
"there was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired"
Any ideas how to resolve would be greatly appreciated - error is occurring on Windows 10 machine and latest adobe readers (don't have old installed anywhere now to test if this is a compatibility issue with the latest versions of this software). Research suggests it might be something to do with header generation in the document and improved security related to this but not clear.
Any ideas? thanks
See comment for solution found, not got to bottom of why server was causing error though

I have been getting this error for the past few weeks while programming in C. I'm confused on how to fix this since the error doesn't tell me where the error is coming from. Why can the compiler not open the output file?
Your bonus.exe file is busy due to some reason. Create a new project and try. Seems like you are working on Visual Studio. Close the application and reload also can fix your issue. This is not compilation issue rather build and link issue while it try to create bonux.exe second time it failed because your previous bonus.exe file is still busy. Also go to task manager and try to kill bonus.exe. That will also fix your issue.
I recently installed apricity-os and when trying to use pacman, I was prompted with an error message saying that I didn't have the apricity-core database .I wished to know of one of you could help me find it .
Apricity OS support is ended, as reported here https://apricity-os.github.io/.
I am trying to create an archive for a XCODE 9 app using NFC core and getting errors (see images) that I cant figure out having tried many settings. We are using the new NFC Core framework in the app and all works perfectly when running on devices etc - just wont create a archive so we can add to TestFight...
Here is a screen shot of me having changed the scheme for Archive to debug, but with no different results unfortunately.
Ok, in my opinion there might not be the release versions of this symbols, it is an option, and if it worked while testing you might have a go compiling with Debug settings the archived version too:
Click on your target scheme settings:
Click on edit scheme:
Select Archive, and then change the Build Configuration to Debug:
Then you can have a go again at archiving... The side effect might be that the executable will be bigger... Let me know if it works :-)
I just wanted to update this post as since upgrading to XCODE 9 Beta 3 all these issues have gone away. I can now Archive with bitcode on and have successfully uploaded to ITUNES connect for publishing externally as a TestFlight without any code changes at all..
Thanks for all the help to move it on but I could not get on TestFlight as threw up all sorts of issues and all fixed with the latest build cam along - thanks Apple!
I want to optimize my code which is written in C but this error is always displayed “The Data Cannot be displayed, there is no viewpoint available for data ”, am working on windows XP and the profiler is update 2!
There must be some error cropping up which is causing the executable to not run properly which is causing this issue. In my case, it was not able to resolve path for a .a file.
This sounds like a bug during collection stage. It is likely that result directory is missing some data due to collection error. Try to update to latest update 15 and repeat your experiment. If issue is still there you may wan to contact support team for investigation http://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/intel-vtune-amplifier-xe-and-vtune-performance-analyzer. Also make sure you XP has latest Service Pack (3?) installed
I'm not sure if this is the right forum or not, since I have no idea what's causing this problem. I have a WPF application that was compiled into a setup project. After building the setup project, there are two files: setup.exe and [Program Name].msi. I put both files in the same directory in an ASP.NET website, served via IIS 7.5. Everything was working fine for about a week, until I started getting the error:
"An error occured while downloading a
required file. You may retry
downloading the file or cancel setup."
This happens when I click on a link on my website for the setup.exe file. After seeing this error, there's a tab labeled "Details" which I can click to display the message:
"An error occurred trying to download
'[website url for the .msi file]'. See
the setup log file located at
'C:\Users[username]\AppData\Local\Temp[some
alphanumeric
sequence].tmp\install.log' for more
information."
I looked at this file, but it just restates that there was a problem downloading the .msi file. Can anyone offer me some suggestions? I'm really stumped on this, and have no idea where to go...
Many thanks for the help!
Andrew
EDIT: This appears to be a problem with the computer that I'm downloading the program to. I tried downloading and installing the program on a different computer, and everything worked fine. Apparently, I must have changed some setting on my computer to cause this, although I'm not sure what that is...
So you're trying to download these files directly? Could the server be preventing the download of the .msi file type? How is the download taking place? Is it user initiated?
I was experiencing the same issue this morning and I finally figured out that it caused by either one (or both) of the following settings in IIS:
Compression: I had compression enabled for both static and dynamic files
Output Caching: I had bit Enable cache and Enable Kernel Cache enabled
I cleared all of the above check boxes and after that the setup.exe downloaded the MSI without a problem!
You connection was interrupted just try the preview command you type and also check your connection
