Clearcase error while merging code - clearcase

I am not able to merge the code in regression branch for a specific package
The error is:
merge: Error: *** No Automatic Decision Possible
merge: Error: *** Aborting...
merge: Error: Unable to remove "C:\TEMP\tmp22349": Permission denied.
Directory merges were necessary and -depth was specified
Unable to evaluate all possible merge candidates
How to avoid this error?
please find attached screen for error.

Regarding "Unable to remove "C:\TEMP\tmp22349": Permission denied.", launch a process explorer and search (Ctrl+F) the process which keeps an handle on that resource: kill that or those processes.
Then delete the file. And try the merge -abort one more time.

SWUpdate on RPi4 via yocto - error parsing configuration file

After booting SWUpdate yocto-generated image for the first time, executing swupdate results in error message:
Error parsing configuration file: 'globals' section missing, exiting.
I tried to strictly follow SWUpdate's documentation, but it gets short when it comes to yocto integration. I'm using meta-swupdate, meta-swupdate-boards, and meta-openembedded layers together with poky example repository all at Kirkstone tag, building via bitbake update-image and having modyfied local.conf as:
MACHINE ??= "raspberrypi4-64"
ENABLE_UART = "1"
RPI_USE_U_BOOT = "1"
IMAGE_FSTYPES = "wic ext4.gz"
PREFERRED_PROVIDER_u-boot-fw-utils = "libubootenv"
IMAGE_INSTALL:append = " swupdate"
Is there anything else I need to modify to generate the configuration file and be able to run SWUpdate binary properly?
Side question: In the documentation, it's recommended to append swupdate-www to achieve a better web server. However, if I append it, there is no swupdate-www binary inside the `/usr/bin' directory.
As with other recipes folders the recipes-support/swupdate/swupdate/raspberrypi4-64 folder was missing inside the meta-swupdate-boards layer. Therefore, an empty config file was always generated. After adding this folder and all related files, strongly inspired by raspberrypi3 folder, the error was gone and swupdate -h provided the expected output.
There was also one new error during build process thrown by yocto. It was related to missing systemd requirement and was solved by adding:
DISTRO_FEATURES_append = " systemd"
to local.conf

an Issue with automake

I am running an existing C project, and having an error. It was used to have no problem, and I could not fix it even after reading similar issues and trying their solutions.
./autogen.sh
running: aclocal
' is already registered with AC_CONFIG_FILES.
/usr/src/ports/autoconf2.5/autoconf2.5-2.69-3.noarch/src/autoconf2.69/lib/autoconf/status.m4:288: AC_CONFIG_FILES is
expanded from...
configure.ac:890: the top level
autom4te-2.69: /usr/bin/m4 failed with exit status: 1
aclocal-1.15: error: echo failed with exit status: 1
error: while running 'aclocal'
As shown, the "autom4te-2.69" is failing, and I did not see any hints about what to do. I am using "Cygwin" on windows 10.
Any idea about how to fix this?
Thanks in advance!

Error while initializing MongoDB

I'm trying to initialize MongoDB from a tutorial and I had to write the following code:
mongod --directoryperdb --dbpath C:\mongodb\data\db --logpath C:\mongodb\log\mongo.db --logappend --install
After I type it, it gives me the following error:
2018-02-27T21:11:20.978-0800 F CONTROL [main] Failed global initialization: FileNotOpen: Failed to open "C:\mongodb\log\mongo.db"
I don't have the directory "log" but nor does the guy in the tutorial, so I'm a little confused what might be the problem.
The problem was that I didn't have the files "log" and "data", and inside of data the file "db". You have to create those files manually in order for it to work.

why this error appears "all scheduled cores encountered errors in user code" is it related to core processor of servers?

We are analyzing sequencing data while filtering and trimming fastq files encountered following error. Is the following error due to unavailability of core for processing commands?
Error in colnames<-(*tmp*, value = c("cs103_R1_dada.fastq", "cs110_R1_dada.fastq", : attempt to set 'colnames' on an object with less than two dimensions In addition: Warning message: In mclapply(seq_len(n), do_one, mc.preschedule = mc.preschedule, : all scheduled cores encountered errors in user code >
As pengchy suggested there may be something wrong with function.
try the same call by using lapply and error message will be more informative.
To clarify on what #f2003596 and #HelloWorld said: This just means that a crash occurred within the function you called, i.e. while it was executing that function. But this does not necessarily mean that your function is incorrect. For example, you get the same error when a variable has not been found.
That would mean your R function has a crash.
Note: If you include an unexpected argument in mclapply you also can get this error message. I put mC.cores instead of mc.cores by mistake and I got it.

ClearCase db_server.exe: Error: db_VISTA error -920 (errno == "Bad file descriptor")

Seeing following errors in the server db log.
db_server.exe(): Error: db_VISTA error -920 (errno == "Bad file descriptor")
db_server.exe(): Error: Cannot open database in ".vbs\db"
Any idea, seeing this error for every 20 mins. This is happening for only two vobs.
Followed below with no luck.
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21236027
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=984&uid=swg21148639
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21133944
The About db_VISTA errors page mentions:
db_VISTA database error -920 - no lock manager is installed
db_VISTA error 2 from OpenFileMapping() of lockmgr_almd
And reference the technote "DB_Vista -920 error and Error 2 from OpenFileMapping()"
Even if this isn't exactly the same error message, check the status of your lock manager (lockmgr.exe on Windows, lockmgr on Unix), both on the client and the server.
Regarding the db_server process, you can try a stop/restart ClearCase on the server, to reset both db_server and vob_server processes.
That can be also related to almd parameters, initially found in:
/opt/rational/clearcase/config/vob/db/vob_almd_params
(for all vobs), but also found in each vobs:
/path/to/vobstorage/yourVob.vbs/db/vob_almd_params
I usually try to raise those parameters in case of 920 errors.
For instance:
-u 4000 -q 16000
That (meaning those local vob configs) would explain why you see errors in only two of your vobs.
