Is there a way to have a multifileupload with "file entity"/"file entity inline" support?
Yes you can with
http://drupal.org/sandbox/fangel/1652676 Media Multiselect module
media-2.x-dev
file_entity-2.x-dev
http://drupal.org/project/plupload
http://drupal.org/project/multiform
Note: this doesn't use the file_entity_inline combo, but each file will have an edit button next to it.
As far as I know, multiple upload is not available in Drupal out of the box. But there are several contributed modules which provides that feature - check out this comparison list: Multiple file upload for node.
For images I use Plup module and it works just fine.

I am trying to add links in the form 555-555-555 arbitrarily into paragraphs of text on my wagtail site. These phone numbers are currently peppered throughout the site as plain text, but I want to convert them to links.
I found this old wagtail github issue where they explained why they would not add them, but the 'Special-purpose pages' use case they described seems to be different than mine: my site has these numbers in paragraphs of text on most of the content pages (blog, product, marketing, etc).
Can anyone explain how I can add telephone links that can be used throughout the site?
I am using wagtail 1.x
To have telephone link within rich text, you'll need to create a plugin for Hallo.js. Have a look at the documentation and how Wagtail 1.13 creates and register such plugins.
Be aware though that it's usually quite involved and that Wagtail 2.0 rich text editor is now Draftail and Hallo.js is deprecated. Therefore, if you create a Hallo.js plugin and upgrade to Wagtail 2.0, you'll have to add some configuration to continue using Hallo.js or recreate the plugin for Draftail.
FWIW, if you are interested in having a look at what would be involved with creating an plugin for Draftail, you'll need to create an entity (also note that the API for creating entities should receive some enhancements in Wagtail 2.2).
With Raw HTML there is nothing to prevent editors from inserting malicious scripts into the page. Do not use this block. http://docs.wagtail.io/en/v2.1/topics/streamfield.html#rawhtmlblock
A workaround would be a custom filter. Eg:
{{ self.text|richtext|phonify }}
In your templatetags.py:
>>> def phonify(val):
... for tel in re.findall(r'tel:(\d+)', val):
... tag = '{}'.format(tel, tel)
... val = val.replace('tel:{}'.format(tel), tag)
... return val
...
>>> phonify('Hello tel:123 world tel:456!')
'Hello 123 world 456!'
>>>
Now you can instruct editors (via help_text) to add phone numbers like tel:5555555555.
This example does not handle - and +1. But if you figure that out, I'll update the answer ;)
I ended up chopping up my paragraphs and including raw html where I needed to add the tel links. A bit tedious, and the styles were slightly different on some pages, but shorter than doing it any other way.
Hi I am trying to use the '_Content - Title only.cshtml' module template for a text heading on my dnn page but wish to use multiple times on same page. Problem is once I select dnn option 'make a copy' and edit text it changes text for each instance of the 'title only' module? I know I can duplicate the '_Content - Title only.cshtml' Razor file but I hoped there might be an easier solution? Thx, Denis
Yes - the problem lies within the DNN copy functionality. It only copies the module "wrapper" but this wrapper still points to the same data - so editing it will edit the shared content-item.
Basically you just want to add another content module (not copy, add), and everything works.
The thing is I have found how upload a document and after that downolad it. But I just want to download it. I want to do it using the UI designer but I dont know how to do it.
Thanks :)
I dont know which tool are you using to design your UI, anyway this is concerning functionality, not design. In that point, i need to know wich language do you want (or can) use. For example, in PHP, it's very simple, you can make something like:
(create php file) downloadpdf.php
1st: (if you want to generate pdf "on the fly":
<?php
function download($foo){
content headers (type, force-download, etc)
database select to get data or harcode it.
echo data
}
?>
and call this function with some id to select from database or something (ignore if you want to hardcode it)
Other option to download a file, if it's stored on server is making a link to this file (statically or dyamically). If you wanna take control to file downloads, check this post:
http://www.media-division.com/the-right-way-to-handle-file-downloads-in-php/
I don't mean that it can be done with UI designer tools, and it's not concerned if it's from a form or not.
Cheers!
You should create link and variable which type is javascript expression. On Variable value write
return "/bonita/portal/" + $data.context.mainDoc_ref.url;
On link URL write your variable and to text
Download: {{context.mainDoc_ref.fileName}}
Here you can find excellent example for this case
I want my Drupal 7 to pick my cutomized template while the time creating the page only, how can I do this, Can some one please...
thanks in advance
If I understand you correctly the following tpl.php naming syntax maybe what you are looking for:
node--[type|nodeid].tpl.php
base template: node.tpl.php
Theme hook suggestions are made based on these factors,
listed from the most specific template to the least.
Drupal will use the most specific template it finds:
node--nodeid.tpl.php
node--type.tpl.php
node.tpl.php
...or you may want to check out the "Display suite" or "Panels" module for a GUI interface for what I suspect you are trying to do.
What function in Drupal gets file attachment path?
Edit: the attachments provided by Upload module in system section. But since you mentioned there may be another way around it. Maybe I could achieve may goals using FileField module so if you could tell me how to get a direct link of a file uploaded by FileField module that may also be very helpful.
Edit 2:
Ok I will start from my main and final objective:
It is to get an image linking to a file which visibility I could be managed using CCK module.
I am doing this step by step. So now I have written a code which generates the needed image and I have added that image to one of content types teaser. I found a way to warp my image in a tag and I had dug up simple attachments url. So my next step is to advance from simple upload attachment to the one added by FileFields and from odd looking HTML pace in all PHP document into beautifully managed CCK field.
How to fetch file path of a file uploaded FileFields?
Some plain and at the same time rich tutorials for making custom fields for CCK module.
Assuming you know how to get the $node object for a node containing a file attachment, this is super easy:
Upload (core)
$file = upload_load($node);
echo $file[1]->filepath;
Where 1 is the index of the file. Upload can let you upload more than one file, so file 2 would have an index of 2 and so on. If there's only one file, it'll always be 1.
More info: upload_load() API reference.
FileField
echo $node->field_fieldname[0]['filepath'];
Where field_filename is the short name you've used for the field, and 0 is the index of the field. CCK fields let you have multiple values in one field, so 0 would be the first, 1 would be the second, etc. If you only have one value, it'll always be 0.
Note: if you want to get the rendered output of the FileField using its formatters, you can just use $field_fieldname in your node template, or if you want to store the rendered output, you can use:
echo content_format('field_fieldname', $node->field_fieldname[0]);
More info: content_format() API reference.
Upload is a sad little module, and has been completely replaced with a core implementation of FileField in Drupal 7. If you have the option to use FileField, you should.
Don't direct links of file attachments appear below the uploaded file for the core Upload module?
Since you are trying to use images, you should use http://drupal.org/project/imagefield CCK module in order to add images to specified content type. After that using the Display fields tab in Content type configuration you can specify how image would be presented (as a link, image, image with link to node...) both in teaser and body view.
