how to override image in media library in WP7 - silverlight

I want to save image to media library in windows phone 7. I`m using this example http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff769549(v=VS.92).aspx . It works fine, the only problem that i have is that after image modification i call save procedure with the same file name, exactly like in example
MediaLibrary library = new MediaLibrary();
Picture pic = library.SavePicture("SavedPicture.jpg", myFileStream);
myFileStream.Close();
but modification is saved to another file, even thought i use the same file name when i call SavePicture (and i want to override the image file). What am i doing wrong?

Reading between the lines a little you are seeing a new picture appear in the phone saved pictures collection where you were expecting an existing one to be replaced?
You should note that the code you have referenced creates duplicate pictures. One is stored in the phones saved pictures collection and another is saved in isolated storage for the application.
Its not possible for an application to mutate an existing picture in the saved pictures collection even if that application is the original creator of the picture. When saved, a new picture is created in the saved pictures collection.
On the other hand the existing content of the file in the isolated storage is replaced with the new content.

You can't.
It's only possible to read and add images in/to the MediaLibrary.
It is not possible to edit or delete images.
This is by design.

Redmine: How to link an attached file in a project from its underprojects?

Lets say I have Project A with an attached imageFile.
Then I created 10 different Projects which are underprojects of Project A.
I want to link the ImageFile of Project A to the Wiki of every underproject , so that I can see the ImageFile in the Wiki-Area of each underproject.
What im doing so far is to copy full path of the attached file of Project A in the Wiki of every underproject, like for example:
!>/attachments/download/157/schnittprofil.png!
Is there a better way to achieve that, because every time I update the imagefile, I have to renew the id-numbers of all imagefile-links in the underprojects.
Since an attachment is only actually identified by its ID and all attachments are immutable (i.e. can be changed after upload), new uploads will result in a new ID. Since multiple attachments with different IDs can have the same name, you can also not reliably find an attachment just by using its name in broad contexts.
That said, to solve your issue, you could use the include macro to include a common Wiki page in your sub-project's wiki pages which then displays the image attachment.
For that, you can create a Wiki page named e.g. Schnittprofil in your parent project where you directly upload your file. In the wiki page, just reference the image with
!schnittprofil.png!
Assuming the parent project has an identifier of project-a, you can then include the page in other wiki pages with
{{include(project-a:Schnittprofil)}}
Each time you change the page on the parent project, it will automatically also show the updated content on the child wikis. The only requirement is that the users need to be able to read the wiki of your parent project (e.g. are members of the project with the "Read wiki" permission).

Using itextsharp to set ocg state of existing pdf

I have spent several hours researching this and can't seem to locate the answer.
I have downloaded and referenced itextsharp in my wpf .net application. (VB)
What I am doing is needing to turn off a specific layer (ocg object) in an exisiting .pdf that was created in Autocad that is defaulted on.
I have successfully opened and displayed the .pdf but i can't seem to use the setOCGstate control correctly
pdf name is "random.pdf"
layer name that i can see once i open the .pdf is "Option 1"
where im getting stuck is i know the layer names are stored in an array inside the .pdf. i know the name of the layer i am trying to turn off, so how do i reference that layer and turn it off using the setocgstate.
example code
dim doc1 as New PdfReader("random.pdf")
PdfAction.SetOCGstate ("confused", False)
I've created an example that turns off the visibility of a specific layer. See ChangeOCG
The concept is really simple. You already have a PdfReader object and you want to apply a change to a file. As documented, you create a PdfStamper object. As you want to change an OCG layer, you use the getPdfLayers() method and you select the layer you want to change by name. (In my example, the layer I want to turn off is named "Nested layer 1"). You use the setOn() method to change its status, and you're done:
PdfReader reader = new PdfReader(src);
PdfStamper stamper = new PdfStamper(reader, new FileOutputStream(dest));
Map<String, PdfLayer> layers = stamper.getPdfLayers();
PdfLayer layer = layers.get("Nested layer 1");
layer.setOn(false);
stamper.close();
reader.close();
This is Java code. Please read it as if it were pseudo-code and adapt it to your language of choice.

Saving image from Image object to isoStorage?

I've been googling around, and all the different answers has got me confused.
In my app I retrieve a contact picture, and put it in an Image object to be displayed to the user.
But I want to save the image to isostorage, and later retrieve it again.
How do I do this?
Can I use the Image.Source for anything?
You cannot get a filename or an ISO storage file.
The only use for ISO storage is to store a file of the bitmap and open a stream to that file to recreate a bitmap later.
The bitmap can then be assigned to the Image.Source.

Drupal Attachments (FileField) file path

What function in Drupal gets file attachment path?
Edit: the attachments provided by Upload module in system section. But since you mentioned there may be another way around it. Maybe I could achieve may goals using FileField module so if you could tell me how to get a direct link of a file uploaded by FileField module that may also be very helpful.
Edit 2:
Ok I will start from my main and final objective:
It is to get an image linking to a file which visibility I could be managed using CCK module.
I am doing this step by step. So now I have written a code which generates the needed image and I have added that image to one of content types teaser. I found a way to warp my image in a tag and I had dug up simple attachments url. So my next step is to advance from simple upload attachment to the one added by FileFields and from odd looking HTML pace in all PHP document into beautifully managed CCK field.
How to fetch file path of a file uploaded FileFields?
Some plain and at the same time rich tutorials for making custom fields for CCK module.
Assuming you know how to get the $node object for a node containing a file attachment, this is super easy:
Upload (core)
$file = upload_load($node);
echo $file[1]->filepath;
Where 1 is the index of the file. Upload can let you upload more than one file, so file 2 would have an index of 2 and so on. If there's only one file, it'll always be 1.
More info: upload_load() API reference.
FileField
echo $node->field_fieldname[0]['filepath'];
Where field_filename is the short name you've used for the field, and 0 is the index of the field. CCK fields let you have multiple values in one field, so 0 would be the first, 1 would be the second, etc. If you only have one value, it'll always be 0.
Note: if you want to get the rendered output of the FileField using its formatters, you can just use $field_fieldname in your node template, or if you want to store the rendered output, you can use:
echo content_format('field_fieldname', $node->field_fieldname[0]);
More info: content_format() API reference.
Upload is a sad little module, and has been completely replaced with a core implementation of FileField in Drupal 7. If you have the option to use FileField, you should.
Don't direct links of file attachments appear below the uploaded file for the core Upload module?
Since you are trying to use images, you should use http://drupal.org/project/imagefield CCK module in order to add images to specified content type. After that using the Display fields tab in Content type configuration you can specify how image would be presented (as a link, image, image with link to node...) both in teaser and body view.

looping through an image folder in a wpf application

I currently am loading all images in a folder in my "MyPictures" folder on my machine which works fine...
foreach (string filename in Directory.GetFiles(Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.MyPictures)))
What I really want to be able to do, though, is load all the images in my Images folder within my solution project. Can someone please tell me the correct syntax to do this?
[Nothing in your question (as it is currently stated) is really directly related to WPF as opposed to C# (and Windows development) in general, as far as I can tell. You might get a better reply if the question was tagged to C# as opposed to just WPF.]
I don't think there is a way to reference your solution's folder as such (nor does it really make much sense, as the users of your application won't in general have the solution, only the distributables).
If you need the directory to be within your solution folder somehow, maybe you should refer to the directory your executable resides in (...\SolutionDir\bin\Debug), which you can get using
System.IO.Path.GetDirectoryName(
System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly()
.GetModules()[0].FullyQualifiedName);
(Of course, you could tack \..\.. to that to refer to the SolutionDir instead, but that'd be a bit ugly.)
Depending on the usage of the images, though, it'd probably be better to put them under one of the defined special directories -- Environment.SpecialFolder.CommonApplicationData sounds like the best candidate, if the images are to be shared by all users.
One way to access images stored in a folder inside the WPF project is to do the following:
If you have already added the images inside an Images folder, Add the images file names in the Resources.resx file under Properties. You can access the images in the code by the following
string imageFilename = "pack://application:,,,/APP.UI;component/Images/" + Properties.Resources.imagefilename;
var src = new BitmapImage();
src.UriSource = new Uri(imageFilename , UriKind.Absolute);
