Good day to everyone!
We have this old worklight 6.1 server (left behind) which is running in Windows 2003 server. We need to move this server to Windows 2012 but having issue when starting the app server. Is Worklight supported with Windows Server 2012? If not, what's the workaround? Thank you in advance.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Jonathan

I have to install SharePoint foundation 2010 with SQL server 2012 Standard Version on Windows server 2012
What I have flow the steps:
Installed Windows server 2012
Installed SQL server 2012 Standard Version
Installed SharePoint Foundation 2010(SP1)
But Issue is that SharePoint not picking the right SQL server 2012 Standard Version instance,it always uses the SQL server express instance that is comes with SharePoint SP1 .exe file.
I have tried this activity for 3- 4 times by removing SharePoint and SQL and Repair as well but always all the configuration databases are generated in the SQL express instance.
Did anyone having suggestions or solution will be appreciated.
Thanks
Your problem is that you are choosing Standalone installation and this option will always install SharePoint Data Bases in SQL Express.
When installing SharePoint you must choose Server Farm installation (even if SP and SQL are on the same server) at the second screen after accepting licence terms, some screens later you will be able to choose the SQL instance.
Here are some guides that may help you, however I recommend you to search more information:

Trying to install TFS 2013 using Microsoft SQL Server 2014 - 12.0.2000.8 (X64), not CTP. But I get error...
TF255146: Team Foundation Server requires SQL Server 2012 SP1 (11.00.3000) or greater. The SQL Server instance XXX you supplied is version 12.0.2000.8.
Has anyone experienced it? Microsoft documentation clearly states SQL 2014 is supported. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yes, this is correct, SQL Server 2014 is supported, but only with TFS 2013 Update 2, which was released a couple of days ago.

Also, If you do install TFS 2013.3 (Update 2) with SQLServer 2014 There is a nasty performance issue with all of the work item functionality in the web access. Microsoft has not put a fix out yet . There is a document with a workaround , but its difficult to find ; the way its written it only addresses "Upgrades".

I want to install SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition to Windows 7 Professional Edition. I tried many times, but it also failed.
Is it possible to do that? Has anyone successfully installed SQL Server 2008 on Windows 7? What are the steps to guarantee a successful install?
SQL Server Enterprise Edition does not support Windows client operating systems. You can only install it on Windows Server.
Try installing Developer Edition. It provides similar features with licensing restrictions (you can't install it on production servers).
I have installed on Windows 7 Ultimate right now. It may not be officially supported unless you're using Windows Server, but it does work.
